Our stay felt like “Home away from Home”. We were very pleased with the cottage. It was super clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and very safe. We loved seeing the deer wandering around. We had a few minor issues with door lock and TV that the host was quick to respond to. I loved how close we were to Gruene with shopping, coffee, food and music. You will not be disappointed with this rental and location. We will definitely be back!!!!

My partner I had a lovely time staying at the Gruene country cottage. Perfect for two. We just asked the owner to do three things: number one : please put lighting over the dining table as we play board games and could not see so we moved the standing lamp from the living room to the card table. Number two: please consider fixing the hot water faucet knob in the bathroom as it was so difficult to turn on. Also, number three:?please reconsider the bed… Much too soft, very difficult to get in and out of. Otherwise we had a wonderful stay. We are senior citizens and don’t like steps of any kind so we would probably never stay there again because there are steps into and out of the unit . Yet we thank Kathy for a wonderful holiday getaway.

The neighborhood was so quaint and quiet. But just the perfect close and away from downtown activities. The house was so cute and cozy, all amenities. A perfect setting to celebrate our anniversary and have quiet one on one time. Bonus view was the daily visit of deer feeding in the yard. Thank you for hosting us. We will come back again.

Great comfortable cottage, very peaceful and relaxing, front patio area is privacy screen but with a view to property so you can sit for morning coffee and watch the plentiful deer come through. The Host, was very accommodating and responsive to any correspondence we sent. Offered suggestions for places for a nice breakfast. This unit was just what we were looking for and a great value for a property so close the heart of Gruene. Will look forward to out next stay there.

This little cottage is cute, modern and extremely clean. All the finishes and cabinet work were top notch. Perfect place for a couple - has everything you need. The owners even provided a jar of corn to feed the many deer. We will be back!

Close to activities, very nice cottage. Beautiful courtyard. We watched the deer in the yard. There was a minor glitch, but the owner responded quickly and handled everything perfectly. We would definitely stay here again.

If you’re looking for a reasonably priced place to sleep in a super convenient location, I’d highly recommend this property. However, if you’re looking for a well-stocked comfortable rental home to cook and entertain, this might not be the best option. While the property was clean, convenient, reasonably priced, and the host was great, the kitchen lacked basic items (cutting boards, dishwasher, ice maker) and the space is quite small. There is no option for outdoor dining unless eating in your lap in plastic chairs. While the bedroom was comfortable, I’d recommend against this property for 4 adults as the fold out couch was older and uncomfortable. The bathroom was well equipped with towels and soaps, but the door to the bathroom is not hung properly and will not fully close/lock. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and place to sleep!

Very nice place to stay near Gruene and New Braunfels. Cozy and quaint. The only complaint we had for the duration of our stay was an incredibly slow WiFi connection. Luckily, we brought a good book to read! Everything else was great.

We very much enjoyed Kathy’s property. Very quiet and loved the outside garden to watch the local deer and nature. Kathy was accessible for questions and we appreciated her recommendations. Lovely clean place and we had a wonderful time visiting the town and go tubing down the river.
