Our experience was incredible. The property was immaculate and charming in all ways. Nothing was left out and we felt very welcome. The suggestions for our trail ride were perfect for us. The hosts even arranged a meeting with Linda Stager, the author of my trail guide! It was delightful and will remain a very fond memory! I can't wait to plan another visit!

The attention to every detail in this sparkling clean house made this a definite do over for my family. Within walking distance to downtown and a short drive from hiking and walking trails. And the hosts are very helpful and so nice.

My Father and I stay here for a long weekend to enjoy riding bikes in the fall in Wellsboro. This property has fantastic location and is full of all the supplies you amd your famiky could need. I grew up in Wellsboro and so believe me when I say, if you stay at Gary and Lori's place you will have a REAL Wellsboro experience. While the mountains and canyon and gas lights are all charming and delightful, it really is the friendliness and generosity of the people in the town that make this a special place. You'll likely see people waving at each other from cars and having long chats in stores and on corners. From the moment you arrive at Back in the Day Guesthouse you'll be surrounded by this hospitality and hominess. I won't spoil what you'll find except to say my kids loved seeing the personalized welcome message on the chalk board and learning about the homemade board game. Gary and Lori are wonderful hosts and as longtime residents can give you any information about the area you'll need. You will definitely feel well taken care of. Be sure to check out the photobook that documents their work refurbishing the guest house. Wellsboro will always be my home and when you stay here it can be yours for a few days too.

Felt so comfortable in this cozy and impeccably clean home. I received such a warm welcome, plus Gary and Lori eagerly answered my questions, helped me find places, and offered suggestions for things to do and places to eat which created an exceptional visit! My husband and I visit Wellsboro every year to see the fall foliage. This year we stayed at "Back in the Day" and had the most relaxing stay ever! The cottage was perfect for us; It was roomy, clean, and extremely organized! It had everything we needed, in fact, we felt at home. Most importantly, the owners were extremely friendly and helpful, they catered to our every need! They provided us with information on many local resources and gave us numerous brochures for places to visit. Without a doubt, this is where we will stay from now on!

Back in the Day is a wonderful place to stay if youŕe doing anything in and/or around Wellsboro, PA. The house is clean and comfortable and Gary and Lori are courteous, helpful and friendly hosts. We anticipate coming back!

We have been renting for a long time with home away and this is the best home we have stayed in yet. Lori and Gary are wonderful owners and have thought of everything to make us feel at home. The house is spotless and had every amenity we could have ever needed. There is a lot to do, whether it be sitting and relaxing on the porch or doing one of the many things that they provide maps and brochures about. We loved our stay and will be back.

The house is charming and immaculately clean! Stocked with everything you can think of - and more! We arrived to a basket of fresh fruit and trail mix! Gary and Lori live right next door and are the perfect hosts. Lots of information in the house if you are looking for things to do. Beds were super comfy and the towels made you feel like you were at a 5 star resort! We have stayed in numerous VRBO rentals over the years and this, by far, is the best!

We were hoping for a nice small hope as described yet found it to be much more, all the comforts of a hotel plus a home! Wonderful neighborhood close to town, spotlessly clean and all the amenities one could want!

I have rented many vrbo properties and Back in the Day is going to be hard to top. Gary, Lori and family refurbished the adorable cottage, the love and care they put into the property shows in every nook and cranny. Cleanliness is beyond reproach, the bathroom towels are so luxurious, the kitchen very well stocked. The property is exactly as pictured, So many nice touches, it would be hard to list them all. We had plenty of room to spread out with our Grandson who was traveling with us. You won't regret booking "Back in the Day", the house is pristine. Thanks for your hospitality.

Lori and Gary made sure we had everything we needed. The house was clean, comfortable and well-stocked. The welcome basket was a great treat. The location was convenient to everything we wanted to do in Wellsboro. We will definitely stay there again the next time we come to Wellsboro.

Gary & Lori are the best hosts! The house is very large and was so comfortable. Everything was perfect! It is close to all of the hiking and biking trails through the gorge. They have every possible map imaginable, which was incredibly helpful. We will absolutely stay again next year. Thank you for welcoming us!

Gary & Lori were very gracious hosts making us feel as if we were extended family. The house was well stocked, had very comfortable beds and the most luxurious towels I have ever seen in a rental property. The next time I need a place to rent in the Wellsboro area, I will undoubtedly stay here again.

Great location, lots of hiking trails nearby. Owners live next door, were very friendly and helpfull. House was perfectly appointed, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, felt right at home instantly.

The back in the day guest house was the one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. Gary and Lori go above and beyond for their guests. They were very helpful with things to do and places to eat. They have so many brochures and business cards to help you plan out your trip while you are there. They even have menus for a lot of the different restaurants around the area. If you don't want to eat out the whole time the kitchen has everything you need to make some meals of your own. Everything is so clean and was perfect for a place to relax when we weren't out and about exploring the area. I had forgotten my fan that I have to have to sleep at night and Gary even took the time to find me one so I had one to use the very first night we were there. They were always just a phone call, text message or a few steps away (they live right next door) to answer any questions you may have. The location is very convenient as its just a minute or two from, restaurants, grocery stores and down town Wellsboro. We highly recommend the back in the day guest house!
