What a quaint hotel in the heart of Wellsboro. The rooms are immaculate and we were easily able to walk to restaurants. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Liked location and very nice staff and nice pool

Quaint motel, very much in keeping with the small-town charm of Wellsboro. Right on the edge of Main Street, walkable to all shops and restaurants. Looks to have been refurbished fairly recently and the room decor was very well done from the bathroom to the curtain holders! Clean and well kept. The only minor issue was the a/c unit was quite loud...when the compressor kicked in, it sounded like an old muscle car running in the parking lot! But, some ear plugs solved that issue. Great place, highly recommend!

Got billed twice, once when I booked and then again at check-in. Had to go back and check credit card billings but talked to front desk later and bill was adjusted.

We love Wellsboro. It was our first time staying at the Sherwood and we will definitely choose them again on our next visit. I highly recommend them.

Excellent Location and staff very clean

We made a great choice. The location is perfect. Went to a nearby restaurant based on the desk clerk's recommendation and was told to tell them we were staying at this hotel and got a ten percent discount. Great meal too!

The people and the staff were so friendly, especially the front deak guys. Does the job, great clean place to sleep and keep the adventure going .. definitely would recommend!

What we didn't even think of when reserving rooms here was the physical location - right on a street corner. Which can get fairly busy at morning and evening rush hours. For rooms near the back of the building, it's not too much an issue, but our rooms were right up front straddling the corner, and truck traffic at 6A was a little too much noise for a vacation. Otherwise, as other reviewers mentioned, staff go home at 10P, so make sure you have your room keys and anything else you need - you won't have anyone available until the morning. Rooms were pleasant enough (even if the walls are a little thin to hear a neighbor yelling at his phone); beds were a bit soft for my liking, but serviceable. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. I'd stay again - but asking for a room at the back!

Room was freezing heater not operating right

We were pleasantly surprised to find this place so convenient to downtown Wellsboro's dining and shopping. Because it sits back off of the main drag it felt safe with plenty of parking.

A small hotel which was easy to find, clean and comfortable. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

Quaint motel, clean and updated

The front desk person was really nice when I arrived. The room was very clean and orderly. The pool is nicely maintained and I mostly had it to myself.

The property wasn't as clean as it used to be. My husband got sick and we had to go home early. We were charged for the 3rd night.

We very much enjoyed our visit to Wellsboro. We enjoyed visiting friends, visiting Pine Creek Gorge, and several restaurants and sites in town. We found the Sherwood Motel a pleasant place to stay, within easy walking distance of TOPS grocery and CVS drug stores, several fast food places, and right on Main Street within easy walking distance of numerous nice restaurants and other places of interest.

Parking lot is crowded, a lot of cable TV trucks make it tough to navigate. Upholstered chair had food remnants.

I loved the bird house next to the office. Such an amazing way to save a giant tree like that.

Allowed us an early check in. Great people, very nice place away from the road.
