This house was wonderful. Ocean views, easy beach access and decks with comfortable furniture. The kitchen was stocked with griddle , waffle iron and hand mixer. Layout of bedrooms and bathrooms are good.

This property was perfect for the 10 of us, 4 adults and 6 children. The house was gorgeous. Multiple bathrooms and the outside shower were great. The direct beach access was amazing! Just a quick drive to shops and restaurants in either direction. It was a wonderful family vacation at Hook, Wine, and Sinker!

This place was so beautiful with a fabulous upper and lower porch for sun and shade lovers. The kitchen was well appointed with an additional ice maker. Our extended family had a wonderful time. I would definitely come back!

The view is the best I have ever seen on Crystal Coast. The place is very nice, spacious, and accommodating. Lot s of room to comfortably be together. Multiple bathrooms down stairs with the bedrooms also provide a group of people lots of privacy, and ability to separate when desired.

The home was beautifully and tastefully renovated. VERY easy and short walk to the beach from the deck. Some "Oceanfront houses" are actually set back between other residences and it forces you to walk down a very long elevated walkway to the beach itself.. not the case here! This made it very easy for our family with the little ones. Very well positioned on the island to go either way on the main street to food and entertainment. I would highly recommend.

As described, super nice home! Clean, comfortable, practical and convenient. Far enough away from busy areas, but close enough to get to anything you need quickly. Had a great time!

We came here for a low key bachelorette weekend and the house couldn’t have been better. The open space, huge kitchen and direct access to the beach made the weekend one to remember. The beds were so comfortable, the sheets were soft and the house was very quiet. It’s further down the island so the beach wasn’t crowded at all. 9 of us fit perfectly. Everyone couldn’t stop talking about how great the house was. Would recommend to anyone coming to Emerald Isle!

Great home for all my fellow minimalists/germaphobes! Beautifully curated and well maintained home with a spectacular kitchen. It was our first visit to Emerald Isle and this was the perfect home for our vacation.

This property was incredible, it was clean, spacious, decorated perfectly, all the additional things added so much—the ice maker, the can coozies, the games, the fireplace, palm trees, and cacti, it was the perfect place for my family of 6, and the view, the deck space, WOW, I just can’t say enough how amazing this place was and the memories we took away were priceless, thank you for sharing this beautiful space with us!! We look forward to coming back!!

The beach is just outside the door, making it easy to leave a kid inside for a nap while mom goes out to read her book on the beach. The big kitchen and HUGE table ensure everyone has space to hang out and eat. Balcony is fabulous with plenty of seating. Truly enjoyed our stay. One note for renters- read your rental documents! You need to bring hand soap, dish soap, toilet paper, etc. Linens are provided but you need your own beach towels. Renters are up front about this, just giving a heads up in case someone doesn’t read everything! Overall a fabulous stay and I’d love to come back.

This was the perfect beach house for our family. It had plenty of space for our family of four to enjoy a beautiful spot on the beach. The recent remodel is very well done. Especially, the top floor with the large, open kitchen and living room that has expansive views of the beach. The owners were very easy to communicate AMD work with. We will definitely be back.

We loved our stay here! The house was very clean and spacious. Everyone had plenty of room to spread out. The only minor inconvenience was that we had to go to the grocery store for basics (hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels) before arriving at the house because those items are not provided. After a full day of travel, those few items would have been nice to have upon arrival. The owners were great to work with and have a lovely home. We would definitely stay here again!

This house is absolutely beautiful and is wonderfully accommodating. We loved our stay. The beds and the furniture were all very comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked. There are plenty of windows and sliding glass doors to view the beach and allow lots of light. This place is very spacious and neatly decorated. Having four bathrooms was equally helpful. We will definitely return.

What a gem! Hook & Sunker is just the type of wholesome beach spot we were looking for - a stone’s throw from the beach with wonderful decking to take in views, sounds and amazing proximity to the ocean. The house is beautifully appointed and airy- perfect for our family. We will be back!

We were very pleased with this beach front property. The owners are very responsive and were willing to answer all our Covid-19 policy questions promptly. The house was spotless on arrival. We had a great week and would like to stay again.

We had a trip to celebrate my mother’s birthday. There were 9 of us and the property was perfect. Kitchen was well appointed. Bathrooms very nice ..

We have been renting vacation homes at Emerald Isle for over 20 years, and this one was truly lovely. It's really nice to stay in a place that is so newly remodeled with fresh and modern finishes/appliances, etc. There are only two reasons we didn't give it five stars overall. The biggest reason was the lack of a roof overhang for any of the deck areas -- we had several very rainy days, and unfortunately were unable to spend any time on either the upper or lower porch on those long rainy days. The second reason is also deck-related -- we now realize that we prefer at least a partially covered porch (rather than totally uncovered) adjacent to the living and dining area, because we prefer to have a choice between shade or sun while sipping our morning coffee or late afternoon wine. All else about the property and owner communications was absolutely perfect! Would still highly recommend it :)

This well equipped and maintained home was perfect for our three generation family. We especially liked the homey and up to date touches the owners used in decorating the house. Be sure to read the coffee table book chronicling the refurbishment of the property from a duplex to an open sunny comfortable single home. Amazing! We recommend without reservation and will stay again. Owners were very responsive when needed. Electronic tablet in kitchen was novel and especially useful. Our every comfort was considered.

From the moment we easily unlocked the door and took a few steps in, we knew we had picked the perfect choice of beach front rental home. Newly remodeled (looks like a Fixer Upper property with darling shiplap walls and all) - this place has everything: 2 master bedroom type rooms, 2 rooms with twin beds in each and even a bonus room upstairs off the kitchen with a comfortable full size sleeper bed. These owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable, convenient and dream-like. We bought groceries at the local Publix (they even deliver, if desired) and had every kitchen appliance needed: we loved making protein and frozen drinks with the blender, pancakes & french toast on the griddle, cooked cookies, etc. the laundry appliances work great and are conveniently out of the way on the 1st for near the bedrooms. Beautiful view of the ocean from the upstairs kitchen/family room as well as from both master bedrooms (sliding doors from these rooms to go straight out to the beach). Darling pink chairs on the upper deck to watch the sun set over the ocean in the evenings. Lots of games to make for fun family time at night (we had some competitive Uno and Phase Ten nights). Really loved the fully private, lockable outside shower on the deck to use after spending the day at the beach (both hot and cold water accessible here) - so helpful to keep the sand out of the house. Used the DVD player (there’s a RedBox at Publix). During our stay there just happened to be a baby turtle nest that had been caution sited just a 100 yards or so from the beach property and we were able to watch that momentous occasion as the eggs hatched and the turtles made their way to the ocean. We loved our entire experience staying at Hook, Wine and Sinker so much that we will be back every summer. We wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. Our children (ages 14, 17, 21 and 25) said over and over that this was our best vacation ever! A must stay!!!
