This is our 9th year of Sarlo Family Thanksgiving which was almost cut out by Hurricane Ian. Thankfully we found 3 houses for our family, my Brothers family and In-laws! The pictures did not reveal how spacious the upstairs was! Loved our stay

Easy access to beach and restaurants. Nice layout for family. Screened porches were nice option for afternoon rain showers.

We had our 3 kids & each brought a friend.: 2 college, 2 high school, & 2 middle school. House was well appointed and had everything we needed. 1 block from the beach made it easy going back and forth. Would definitely rent again.

The house is absolutely beautiful and offers every modern convenience. We rate it a 5++. First built in the 1920s, and secluded by a ring of mature palms, the property has recently been remodeled with an eye toward luxury. The decor is splendid – all professionally done. The open plan, indoor-outdoor great room is fit for Architectural Digest. The main-floor decks are screened, making every inch usable in moderate December weather. As far as we could tell, it is unlike any other property in the area. There were 7 of us, including a high-energy toddler. This made the house's many private spaces, from the large, well-lit bedrooms with comfortable chairs for reading, to the enclosed deck off the kitchen to the expansive children's room, with its lounge, essential to maintaining sanity. (My daughter used the latter, briefly, as office space; I used it as a reading area.) A large, uncrowded beach is just a three-minute walk away. The lap-pool and spa are first rate. The house has few drawbacks, but one would be the lack of natural light. The trees, which provide desirable privacy, also create jungle-like shade. The pool and spa face north and are often shrouded in shadow. Visitors would be well advised to bring mosquito repellent. The management was very responsive, sending over someone to fix the dishwasher (missing a wheel on the bottom rack) within an hour. (The dishwasher, btw, is the only device we would upgrade.) My wife and I also appreciated being able to check in early, as our flight arrived earlier than anticipated – though the okay came minutes too late to save us from the ubiquitous parking enforcers. (Beware: if your wheels touch the street line, it will cost you $50!) There is enough onsite parking to accommodate three cars. There is a wonderful, walkable shopping district around the corner, on Pine Street. We highly recommend Pizza Social! Overall, our stay in this gem was thoroughly delightful. We would gladly stay there again.

Considering the cost of this home, we hoped everything would be in good condition and working order, but we were disappointed. We experienced several problems, including a malfunctioning appliances and items that were in poor condition. Although we brought these issues to the attention of the property managers early in our stay, they were never resolved.

Beautiful House and great location! The house lived up to all the beautiful pictures. We spent our days hanging at the beach and then coming back to swim in the pool or walking down Pine Avenue. The common area upstairs is huge and all the furniture is very comfortable. The screened in porches are comfortable and quiet. So many restaurants and stores within walking distance of the house. We ate at The Sandbar, The Waffle Press, Scoops, The Rod and Reel and The North Shore Cafe. We also drove down the beach to visit The West Coast Surf Shop. (A must it’s been in business since 1964) We loved our stay here and would highly recommend the house and the island!!!

We loved our stay at this incredible home. The home had everything we needed and the kitchen was perfect for several fun family dinners. We loved the backyard with the pool for us and our 10 month old grand baby. We will definitely go back!!

We stayed 7 days over holiday break with family. It was a wonderful stay, the property has everything you need and just a short walk to fun shops and the beach. I highly recommend this place! We plan to book again next year!

The grounds, pool and spa, the screened porches, cabana and beach gear. We even had parakeets in the backyard! It’s like staying in an exquisite tree house! We cannot day enough good things about this property. The hone itself is beautiful with plenty of room. There were 6 of us including a 17, 14, and 10 year old. They all loved the house. The pool is perfect for an escape from the heat or just to relax. The house location is ideal for restaurants, shopping, and the beach. We were most thankful for all the extras included: beach chairs, umbrellas, toys, and a wagon. In the midst of a crazy and unpredictable season for us all, Anna Maria Island and Casa Mariposa offered a great escape for our family.

This house is perfection. Beautiful furniture, several porches to relax on and a beautiful pool area. Fully stocked for trips to the beach. Loved it!!!

The location of this home is perfect. I love the private feel that the many mature trees and plants provide. I just love plants so this place is great for me. The choices made in decorating this home reflect my own taste. I love the fun and bold wallpaper! It was pleasing to my eye with many comfortable places to sit inside and out. Loved the front porch in the morning for coffee and moved to the back in the evening. The long pool is great for laps and was a perfect temperature even though it was a bit chilly outside. Cooked several great meals in the kitchen. Hope we get to come back got another visit.

Our family had an amazing time at Casa Mariposa. The home was beautiful and the location was perfect (steps from the beach and town). My kids loved the pool and all of the toys in the cabana for the beach. We will definitely return.

The house is simply amazing and the location couldn’t be better if it was directly on beach. The house had everything you need and then some; beach wagon, umbrella, toys, chairs, kitchen is well stocked with high- end dishes and cook ware. The “kids room” was perfect for our toddlers - especially as it is filled with train toys. The pool is nicely heated with a relaxing environment. The only two items with room for improvement are. - the comfort of the beds and the communication with the rental agency. We didn’t have any urgent needs from the agency so is likely why there was lack of communication., but it still would have been nice to receive a text/email back with acknowledgement of receipt. That said , we would rent this house again in a heart beat. It is an amazing property and you can’t go wrong with this choice.

We stayed at this property for 2 weeks and didn't want to leave! it was excellent start to finish. The house had everything you would expect and more. It was in a perfect quiet location, but was just a 2 min walk to Pine Ave where you would find all the shops, cafes etc , and just a short stroll to the Sandbar which was great as we really enjoyed spending time there. The beach is also a 2 mins walk from the front door and is out of this world. All in all we couldn't of asked for a better house and we will definitely return in the future for sure. We enjoyed our stay here very much. House was very tastefully decorated and had everything you would need to make the house feel like you’re home. Great location! A short walk to the beach, restaurants and convenience stores. Nice screened in porches to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. A lot of TV’s and entertainment. The shed had everything you could need for the beach which made the short walk even easier for us.

The house was perfect. It has everything you need and more! The location is great and the access to the beach is less than two short blocks. Once you are in the property you are completely surrounded by foliage. You can’t see the street or any other houses. Very secluded and beautiful! We can’t wait to return someday.

Simply a wonderful property in an amazing location in Anna Maria. We spent Christmas with the extended family and this place simply exceeded everyone’s expectations.

Our first visit to the Gulf Coast / Anna Maria, and it couldn’t have been dreamier. My family had a wonderful, relaxing getaway. The home was exquisite in its furnishings, cleanliness, and hospitality. We will definitely return!

This house is incredible. Everything we could have possibly needed for a week at the beach. Less than a block’s walk to the beach, plus everything we needed to have a blast at the beach - umbrellas, chairs, floaties, sand toys, and a wagon to carry it all. We had several places that were an easy walk to dinner. The house was immaculate but also had all the comforts of home. I’d come back in a heartbeat! 💜
