Ivana and her husband were very kind and were always there for you if you needed them. Their restaurant next door was also very good. We loved the food and the price was good. The beautiful beach was nearby, just a 5 minutes walk. Our children didn't miss a swimmingpool at all. We would go back right away!

Wir waren begeistert! Es war nichts beschönigt in den Beschreibungen. Wir würden wiederkommen und das Objekt auch weiterempfehlen. Die Kommunikation unmittelbar mit dem Vermieter war sehr gut; die Kommunikation mit FeWo-direkt ist verbesserungswürdig, insbesondere was die Zahlungsangaben betrifft.

Wir wurden von Ivana, Dionisis und ihrem Team herzlichst aufgenommen und liebevoll umsorgt. Die Unterkunft liegt abseits vom Touristentrubel in einer wunderschönen, kleinen Bucht; ein Ort der Entspannung, aber auch ein guter Ausgangspunkt um die Insel zu erkunden. Das Apartement ist makellos sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bietet alles, was man im Urlaub benötigt. Der Blick von der großen Terasse ist umwerfend. Auch das Umfeld der Unterkunft wurde liebevoll gestaltet mit schönen Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten z.B. unter einem alten Olivenbaum. In der angrenzenden Taverne wurden wir ebenfalls sehr verwöhnt mit leckerem Essen und sehr gutem Wein. Ivana ist eine Spitzenköchin. Ein wunderschöner Urlaub. Before we booked, we read through the reviews and were very impressed with the praise within them. We booked an apartment for 3 weeks and a car for the duration with an intention to explore the island from this base. The trip from the airport to the apartment (approx 40 mins) is very easy and took us through some beautiful villages and amazing landscapes. On arrival we received a very warm welcome from Ivana who explained everything we needed to know about the apartments and local area. The apartments are superb and exactly as you see them in the website photos. They are well equipped, very clean, spacious and the location is awesome with picturesque views. Ivana and Dionysis have their restaurant next to the apartments and we highly recommend their food along with their own excellent wine and olive oil. Makris Gialos beach is beautiful and only a couple of minutes walk, the water is very clear and good for swimming or you can just relax whilst enjoying the sun. There a small supermarket close by and several restaurants within a short walking distance. Thank you Ivana, Dionysis and staff for looking after us so well, your attention to detail, the facilities you provide along with your passion for your home is second to none and a credit to you. Again, thank you and we will return.

Wir haben eine Woche in einem Superior Apartment verbracht und waren überwältigt. Die Bilder entsprechen der Realität. Die Apartments und Anlage sind top gepflegt und sehr sauber. Die Ausstattung der Küche ist perfekt. Der Blick vom Balkon ist einfach nur wow :-) Die Vermieter Ivana und Dionisis sind sehr herzlich und gastfreundlich. Sie stehen jederzeit für Fragen und Wünsche zur Verfügung. Die angeschlossene Taverne haben wir fast täglich besucht und auch hier fühlten wir uns sehr wohl. Die Speisen und Weine waren sehr lecker und von guter Qualität. Des Weiteren hat man einen Strand quasi vor der Tür, einen Minimarkt und auch weitere Tavernen sind fussläufig erreichbar. Ansonsten sollte man sich ein Auto mieten, um die Schönheit der Insel zu genießen. Sehr wehmütig sind wir abgereist. Wir sagen herzlichen Dank liebe Ivana und Dionisis für eine traumhafte Zeit! Es waren vier unvergessliche Tage, die wir in Makris Gialos verbracht haben. Es ist ein Ort, wohin man wieder zurückkehren möchte. Ivana und Dionisis sind sehr nette und gastfreundliche Gastgeber, die alles tun, damit sich Ihre Gäste wohl fühlen. Die Apartments sind sehr sauber und geschmacksvoll, mit viel Liebe zu kleinen Details, eingerichtet. Der Aufenthalt in der Ferienwohnung war perfekt. Sehr sauber gepflegte Anlage. Täglich kommt der Bäcker. In der unmittelbaren Nähe einige Möglichkeiten für Abendessen. Essen in der vom Vermieter betriebenen Taverne ist auch exzellent. Ist ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt um den etwas ruhigeren nördlichen Teil der Insel zu erkunden. Ein eigenes Auto ist aber sehr vorteilhaft. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt wenn man etwas Individualität liebt.

Abbiamo da poco concluso la nostra vacanza e non posso che consigliere questo appartamento. Posto in una zona tranquilla di Zante, con una meravigliosa vista mare, arredi nuovi, tutto pulitissimo e gestito da Ivana e suo marito che sono speciali e sempre disponibili per un aiuto o semplicemente un consiglio!

Preface--- this will be a long review of extensive praise. For those who won't read the whole thing and want a summary: STAY HERE. My friend and I spent a week at the Makris Gialos Apartments and fell in love instantly upon arrival. The pictures provided are completely accurate and totally unedited, but the beauty of the images doesn't even compare to what it's like to actually be there. You are steps from the most insanely blue water you've ever seen, water you can see and hear from every apartment balcony. There are other restaurants within walking distance of the apartments, but the food is so good at the restaurant that we ate every meal there--- Ivana and Dionisis cook themselves, traditional Greek food, including fish caught and delivered every morning. As hosts, Ivana and Dionisis are top--- friendly and helpful and totally accommodating. It was our first time in Greece, and Ivana got a sense of our taste right away, and every morning she suggested an activity that we always loved. She even remembered our dietary restrictions after being told once, and always prepared the food accordingly. The property is immaculate. Very, very clean, beautiful and well-done (Dionisis built it himself!). It was paradise and I'm still dreaming about it. I'd recommend this place to anyone--- my family, friends, and total strangers. You can get all your beach supplies and needs from shops within walking distance. And from the apartments you can snorkel and swim in many coves nearby. When we were there in June, we were often alone on all of these beaches. You're also a mere 15 minutes from the Blue Caves, and getting a boat to the famous Shipwreck beach from the apartments is very easy--- many, many options from small to large boat tours, and even renting your own. You won't believe the quiet and calm and privacy of these apartments and location. Do rent a car so you can explore the island, but you'll always be happy that you're staying at Makris Gialos and not in one of the party-oriented towns. Nice to be able to travel to those towns, but even nicer to be able to come home to Makris Gialos. Stop searching and book this place now. Thank you Ivana and Dionisis!!
