The place is simple and clean and functional. The view is great. The bus service is good. We had access to excellent hikes and enjoyed our time immensely. Good weather a help! The nearby restaurant is a very nice family run place.

Despite great views, access to building and apartment very difficult due to door locks being extremely difficult to open. Kitchen was clean however if you plan on cooking you will need to buy everything. Bus access to Grindelwald center very convenient.

This place was just amazing! Very clean, extremely clean! And very recommended to take the bus on check in day since it’s a very steep hill and with luggage is not very easy. Overall? A 20/10

The chalet was really clean and nice. The owner was was easy to communicate with and was quick to respond. The view was amazing and we enjoyed sitting outside on the patio. We cooked a couple nights and had everything we needed. Upon arrival, we missed the last bus(6:41pm) from town and there were no cabs available. We had to lug our bags up the hill, which was challenging. Be aware of that when you arrive. Otherwise, it was amazing!

The chalet was away from the main road in Grindenwald. It was quiet and offered amazing views of the nearby mountains

We enjoyed the apartment’s location, the super cozy beds, spacious living area and kitchen. The views were spectacular of the mountains. We loved having coffee on the airy porch. We would be delighted to stay here again.

I loved this place, the flat was like it is called very cozy and comfortable, everything you needed spend time with your family, all the amenities in the kitchen were A you just need to get the groceries and you were great, the transportation was so easy and accessible, the view right in front of the flat was breathtaking wow, we really had a great time and Carol the host was amazing answering fast out inquiries and very kind. We hope we can return to Grindelwald soon and hopefully stay at this cozy flat, thanks so much Carol.

The views were breathtaking! The accommodations were very comfortable and kitchen well stocked. Parking garage in the garage very tight. Wonderful experience.

We had a wonderful stay at the chalet. The view was beautiful and the chalet was larger than the pictures. It had a nice living area to sit and relax in the evening and even had an outdoor heated patio to watch the sun go down on the Alps. It is up the hill from downtown so if you use the train to get to Grindelwald, definitely take the bus up to the chalet. The taxi fare was exorbitant. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again. We also loved the restaurant next-door which served a fabulous dinner

Excellent stay, great communication, comfortable beds, relaxing, gorgeous view of Eiger right from the little balcony. Everything was absolutely great!! Pay attention to the detailed instructions provided by the host. Take time to park in the garage.

The flat was in a lovely quiet area, above the town with an incredible view from the balcony. It was very clean, had everything we needed and was on a bus route which was great for getting up the hill after a long day walking. Grindlewald was beautiful and had great access to cable cars and trains to explore the stunning scenery higher up. I would definitely recommend visiting.

This was a lovely apartment to stay in. It is spacious and very clean. The owner is very accommodating. It had all of the amenities you need. I appreciated also having a washer and dryer available.

Excellent accommodations. Extremely comfortable, with kitchen (we cooked at home several times over a week), and a spectacular view of the Eiger. Easy walk to town. More challenging walk back but we took advantage of the free bus pass for guests. We had a wonderful vacation.

Der Bergfink ist perfekt gelegen für Skiferien mit kleinen Kindern. Wir haben im Bodmi geübt; mehr braucht es nicht. Auch ist die Wohnung gut ausgestattet, mit Föhn, Handseife, Küchenrolle, WC-Papier, Salz, Pfeffer. Es hat das Nötigste und mit 1-2 Mal posten waren wir gut versorgt. Wir kommen wieder und haben bereits gebucht!

Neues Bad, Betten frisch gemacht, ausreichend Handtücher und gut ausgestattete Küche (nur das Brotmesser schneidet nicht). Auch tabs für GS, Seife und Gebührensäcke etc. vorhanden.

Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, super Lage und Aussicht.

Das Chalet ist ideal gelegen um kleinere Kinder ins Skifahren einzuführen. Die Zimmer sind grosszügig, das Bad komfortabel, die Küche praktisch, aber eher etwas knapp ausgerüstet.

Die Ausstattung entspricht der Beschreibung. Beim Kochen mussten wir etwas improvisieren (wenig Auswahl bei Kuechenutensilien), aber alles machbar. Unsere Teenager fanden die Schlafcouch bequem. WLAN war sehr gut. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber. Insgesamt würden wir die Wohnung auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Wir hatten sehr wenig Schnee, so dass die Garage gut anzufahren war. Wenn in der Einfahrt Schneeberge liegen, wird das reinfahren schwierig. Die Busverbindung ist mit Gästekarte kostenlos und sehr gut. Wir hatten nur einen Ausdruck, der vom Vermieter vorbereitet war. Diese wurde bei der Touristinformation nochmal mehrmals im Orginal ausgestellt, damit wir uns auch getrennt bewegen konnten.

We had a wonderful stay at this chalet in Grindelwald this past weekend. The best part about this place is the view - spectacular!! The location is also ideal - a little ways off from the main street in Grindelwald, so it's nice and quiet, but close enough that you could walk to all of it if you wanted to... which means walking distance to lifts, train station, restaurants, trail heads, etc. The flat had everything we needed, and was clean and in good condition. The heated portion of the porch was another thing we really loved about this place. It was so nice to sit there comfortably into the evening watching the mountains get dark, even after it got a little chilly out. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped, although if you plan to do any major cooking you might want to bring your own measuring spoons/measuring cups... I didn't see any of those and had to do a little estimating! The only negatives about the place I could find - the only toilet is in a half bath near the front door and kitchen, which seemed a little awkward in the middle of the night. Also, the garage spot for parking was very, very tight. If you drive a larger vehicle, like a minivan or SUV, you might really have a tough time fitting in the garage. All in all, those are pretty minor things, and we had a great stay. I wished we could have stayed for much longer, and would recommend it to friends and/or come back some time ourselves!
