This property was everything we hoped for in a big family rental. The teens loved the downstairs room for late night games and tv. The kitchen and dining areas were perfect for preparing and serving a big group. The location was great. Just a short drive to the slopes. Deer walking through the yard daily was also amazing!

Let me start off with the positives about this house...the location is wonderful and the house was clean! The property management company was "nice" but not very effective. When we arrived, the refrigerator was broken. It took the management company DAYS (half of our stay!) to fix it. This should have been checked before our arrival. That was a big annoyance, but there were other smaller annoyances. Examples - they only provided *one* kitchen towel. The bathtubs didn't have plugs provided, so it was difficult to give our kids baths. The TVs weren't connected to wifi, so we couldn't use any streaming services. There were no AC units, not even window units. So, as you can see, there were pros and cons. I love the house and the location, but I will not rent from this management company again.

We booked this on a spur of the moment decision and it was prefect for being last minute. The layout was great for us and the kids and the location is great being only about 10min from the slopes. The Wi-Fi really only works if you’re right next to the router in the downstairs family room but worked great once you were next to it. Would stay again!

So the bad first. We had our dog sitter cancel last minute. When we were about 5 hours into our 7 hour drive to Angle Fire. I explained this to the contact for the VRBO. She suggested I call a local kennel. When we did this (2 days before Thanksgiving) we did not get a response. Our dogs sitter in Taos was still having difficulties, when the kennel returned our call the next day they explained they needed shot records which I don't carry around with me. I explained this to the property manager and she responded with the "fine" or "fee" for having pets. She called me two days later telling me that a neighbor reported we had pets. I confirmed that is accurate and she responded as if she never was informed of the pet situation that we had previously discussed. I drove from Midland expecting a pet sitter in Taos and did not have a choice expect to pay the fees and include my pets. I never disputed the fee but she behaved inappropriately and that was unfortunate. Next bad, our property was booked for 12 people for 4 nights. On day two we had zero dish soap, zero dishwasher soap, zero toilet paper, zero paper towels and zero trash bags... AND worst of all NO COFFEE. I was told by the management company that they leave a "STARTER" supply. So on Thanksgiving day we had to send our family for supplies in a mountain community that had everything closed. The worst part was the other cabins in the area (rented by family) had more than enough of the above necessities to cover them for the entire stay. They(other cabins) also suppled shampoo, cond and extras at both of the other cabins. These cabins had a different management company. As part of the rental agreement the trash must be thrown and the dishes must be done you would think the management company would supply these items our entire stay was almost 5000.00 the inconvenience to us showed a lack of consideration in my opinion. The Good. The space was clean, kitchen had crock pots, loads of plates, pots and pans, a few cooking essentials, the kitchen was so well laid out that it allowed several of us to participate in a great Thanksgiving preparation.

The property served our family’s needs very well

Clean, open, true to the listing! We had 14 of us ranging from 4-76 and everyone was comfortable! We would absolutely stay here again!
