Our family really enjoyed our stay. The house is set up great for a family and it was stocked well for all of our needs. The location on the lake was beautiful and the hosts were quick to respond with anything we needed.

Beautiful home and setting on Lake Santeetlah. Plenty of space for all to enjoy inside and out. Well stocked kitchen and lots of indoor games and outdoor toys. Would definitely stay again!

Property was lovely

This house was perfect for our family. Plenty of room to spread out, kayaks and life vests ready to go, ample outdoor living space, games and movies for a rainy day. The driveway is literally the only thing not perfect about this house, its a bit steep. Owners are great with communication. We hope to stay again.

Great house on a beautiful lake. Did not love that there are video cameras on the exterior of the house-this should have been disclosed in the listing. Made me feel like we were being watched.

Home has been well maintained and the view was great of the lake. Dockside was a nice place to sit , go swimming and a place to keep our pontoon boat rental.

We booked the Stillwater Mountain house for a family get together and there is not much one can say other than it is fantastic. The owners have really thought of everything, and the house was better than any of us thought it would be. Five stars! It is located on a quite part of the lake with very little boat traffic; this allowed the kids to use the house Kayaks all week and swim from the dock. There were twelve in our group and the house accommodated everyone with space left over. The kitchen is well equipped and allowed us to make most meals in house during our stay. Our group has already spoken about coming back next year! If you are looking for a little piece of heaven, you have found it.

This was our 4th stay on this warm water lake and our 3rd time in the Stillwater Mountain House. White water rafting on the Ocoee River, our second time and our guide Casey was awesome. Rented a boat and brought our water toys. The dock has been enlarged and resurfaced. There is a new dock added for parking a boat. We enjoyed the kayaks. The weather was perfect and water temperature was 84 near the shoreline. We cooked everyday 😋 in the well stocked kitchen. Thank you Chris and Tom for sharing your beautiful lakehouse!

Everything about Stillwater house is incredible, second time staying at the property and won’t be our last.

We loved our time at the lake house! This property is incredible for a large group. We were two big family and had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy boating, swimming, and local hiking spots! So relaxing and just what we needed!

This was our annual family vacation. Also my son got married in Asheville . The location of this home was perfect. Lots of water fun , including jet sking kayaking and ride on a pontoon boat. . Very child proof out on the porches which was great . Absolutely spotless and loved the decor and bedrooms were perfect for a large group . We will definitely be back

This was the best property we’ve rented for our extended family. Plenty of space, clean, comfortable beds, nice sized bathrooms…and a beautiful location! It feels plenty remote, yet it’s close enough to the grocery if a quick run is needed. Some of our group went kayaking, while others sat on the dock and soaked in the amazing scenery. We even saw otters! The house was well-appointed with everything we could possibly need. We had a wonderful time, and we would love to return!

Can’t say enough good things about this house. It’s absolutely beautiful inside and very well decorated. The pictures don’t do it justice. The owners answered every message I sent promptly. All spaces were cozy. Each floor has its own zone for climate control and even with temps below 30 out, we were very comfortable and there’s nice blankets to curl up with on the couches. The kitchen was very well equipped and there are coffee makers in the kitchenettes on the 1st and 3rd floor. Each floor has TVs with direct tv and there’s a nice dvd collection. Tons of board games oversized jenga and connect four as well as a ping pong table. The view from each of the 3 decks were beautiful with the fall colors. The other side of the lake doesn’t have any other houses. So you really feel like your secluded. Looking forward to our next trip.

We had a great week at Stillwater House. It was very clean and beautifully decorated. We loved kayaking on the lake and hiking in the Joyce Kilmer Forest. Everything was quiet and relaxing.

This was our second stay in this house and it was just perfect. First off we made a mistake on the days of our stay and arrived a day early. Fortunately the owners were gracious and allowed us to stay a day early. The home is beautiful and comfortable and well equipped. The lake is lovely and we had a great week of swimming, boating, hiking and family time.

What an amazing house! The 10 of us had dinner around the amazing table in the dining room , there are so many things to do. The lake is beautiful and this house is back in a quiet cove, great for fishing and swimming. .We caught a lot of fish from the nice dock. We had no problems with anything.. I could go on and on but I Ican say anyone going to Santeetlah should stay at this GRAND house.. My thanks to the owners for everything

The house was awesome lots of room , amenities and beautiful views of lake. Rent your boat from Jim Hensley the owners recommended him and he was great! Not a great restaurant town so bring groceries. There is an Ingles grocery store nearby and two full size refrigerators. There is also lots of pots, pans, dishes , glasses etc…

We have been traveling with our friends and our family for years . This year we decided to stay in one house and what a treat it was . The owners were fantastic and very professional and accommodating . The house was clean and very comfortable and the location is fantastic in an amazing setting . The house had everything you could ask for very well appointed . We had myself and my wife as well as our two kids that are in there 20's our oldest daughter and her two kids 11 & 14 as well as our friends who brought there two kids that are 19 and 22 . We rented a pontoon boat for the week from the local Marina it was fantastic . We enjoyed relaxing on the lake and enjoying the house for our stay very relaxing . The driveway is very steep don't let it intimidate you it is fine when you park a few times . The internet was almost non existent and that was perfectly acceptable as we were there to enjoy the outdoors . The area is extremely quiet and very few people on the lake even on the weekends . I would highly recommend this house it is more beautiful than the pictures and the owners as they are very attentive . A fabulous place to stay !

From the moment we walked through the door we fell in love with the Stillwater mountain home. The lake setting in the mountains was amazing and the Stapleton’s really are top notch hosts. This was like staying in a well taken care of home with family not like some other rental homes.

Everything about the house was perfect - layout for our family, bathrooms, room to spread out, cleanliness, all appliances (small & large) that are needed, house activities & games, access to boating, closeness to grocery and attractions - I could go on & on. Tom & Chris were excellent with their pre-stay communication - and we didn't run into any problems during the stay because they supplied us with all information needed! The boat rental from Jim was flawless (and had so much fun - really added the extra layer of fun activity for us.) The kids loved just jumping off the dock and swimming. (they are from Atlanta and the thought of swimming in a lake was so foreign!!) Lake Santeetlah is beautiful and quiet. We loved our week. Thanks, Tom & Chris (and Jim).

Property and owners provided everything as promised. Property is wonderful and was everything my wife and I were hoping for. Hated to leave!!

A beautiful home and location to spend the holiday. The house has it all and more room than you think! It was a little difficult for my senior parents to get up and down the driveway, but we managed. Would love to come back in the spring or summer!

This house is very spacious and has plenty of room for multiple families to spread out. The kids had a blast fishing. The owners have thought of everything and have everything well stocked from the kitchen, games, and extra blankets everywhere. We will definitely be coming back to stay in the summer.

Could not have been happier with this house for our stay! We have 5 kids, ranging from 10-16, and all were well entertained and comfortable. The kitchen, grill, and dining areas were great for our family lunches and dinners. Very clean property with everything we could ask for.

The house is well equipped and lovely. Lake is clean and not overly developed. Owners provided necessary information and responded to communication. Very enjoyable vacation home.

There are lots of good hiking trails around this area. This is a dry county so bring your own adult beverage

A wonderful place to stay! Clean quiet and comfortable. There was plenty to do, or nothing at all! Just be aware of the steep driveway:)
