We had a wonderful time staying at this property. We love the neighborhood, it’s quite and close to the waterfront, Fort Allen and walking distance to Downtown Portland. The apartment was spacious and have everything we need for a big group of friends. The host was responsive and checked in with us. We would stay there again. Thank you!

Don’t let the peeling paint on the front entrance scare you. Once you get up to the second floor space it’s a very cute, eclectic space. If you have a disability of any kind though, getting up and down the steep staircase could be a challenge. We were a family of eleven and it was very comfortable for all of us. Plenty of cozy beds, nice sheets and towels. There’s not a chefs kitchen but it was adequate for us because we ate all of our meals out.Nothing upscale about the dishes and glassware.We basically just used the fridge. It’s within walking distance to so many coffee shops and great restaurants. For us the location was everything. Parked the car and didn’t need it the whole weekend.

Monument Sweet was the perfect base for our family’s stay in the Portland area. We had plenty of room for our family of four (including two older teens). The Monjoy Hill neighborhood was quiet and quaint with easy access to downtown’s restaurants and the highways into the countryside. The apartment itself was clean, well maintained and provisioned nicely with kitchen equipment, towels, etc. We appreciated the use of an off-street parking space! We would definitely stay here again when we are next in Portland.

We loved our stay here! Flat is comfortable, and feels like staying at a friends place — homey, and full of personality. Great neighborhood! Easy walk to downtown Portland and eastern promenade. Owner is very responsive and a good communicator. We would stay here again.

My family and friends had a great stay at Munjoy Hill. Kathy was a great host always quick to communicate and helpful. The apartment is very nice and nicely decorated. It’s in a great location in Portland. I would recommend it as a great place to stay.

We were extremely happy with the property itself, as well as its location and proximity to restaurants, bars, and activities. Communication with the host was excellent and accommodating.

Monument Sweet was such a delight that we hated to leave. It is such a warm and inviting home that is creatively decorated and has the most comfortable seating and beds! It's location was perfect for everything to see and do around Portland and despite being in town there was hardly any street noise. The bathrooms and kitchen were well accommodated and had everything and more that was needed. From the kitchen you can even see Casco Bay! Kathy was the perfect host and responded quickly to our questions. We will definitely be back again and hope to stay longer.

We initially picked this property for the number it can sleep (9) as well as being pet friendly. We opted to leave our furry friends at home, but the property suited us well due to size, cleanliness and proximity to the city.

This is a beautiful second floor (full floor) apartment. Great location in Munjoy Hill. Excellent layout for families. Comfortable beds, friendly and helpful host. We simply can’t wait to stay here again!

Lovely accommodations, great size apartment, perfect location and warm/welcoming hosts.. We had a lovely time discovering the city and Casco Bay. Great destination for the whole family. Highly recommend.

We loved this home and it’s practical and thoughtful furnishings. Great light and nice walking around this super neighborhood that has everything you need within blocks. Even water views from the kitchen. The kitchen is super hip and all the necessary things you look for when you are on a short term stay!

This apartment is impeccably furnished and extremely comfortable. Slept great every night. Very nice neighborhood in easy walking distance to all the action in downtown Portland. All the photos were spot on, and Kathy was so nice to work with.

My family needed a place to stay for a few days while visiting family in Maine. We were thrilled to find a place so close to everything we love... bike trails, play grounds, basketball court, tennis courts, and fabulous coffee shops! Everything you need is within walking distance. The apartment was so welcoming and the floor plan is spot on. Love the Interior decorating, well done! This was our first time traveling with our children during the pandemic. We felt safe on the second floor in a nice neighborhood. We appreciate the extra sanitation before our stay. Thank you!!

We had a great time. The unit was clean and easy to access. Kitchen was updated and had all we needed to cook family meals. Walking distance to lots of activities and food for our family with young kids... Even during covid times. The owner was incredibly available and accommodating.

We rented this property as a hub for our wedding! The ceremony took place on the eastern prom. I, the bride, got ready at the house and the lighting was perfect! The details in the house are all perfect! I cannot wait to see photos! We also had my stepdaughters and a few other family members stay in the apartment! The little garden patio was perfect for sitting out and having a cup of coffee! Kathy is a wonderful host, quick to respond, and very sweet. We do not live far from Portland so we may no have another reason to rent her apartment- but I will definitely recommend monument sweet to anyone looking!

This is a great property. The space inside was spacious and very clean with lots of light. We put family up here for the weekend and they thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The little garden outside was a little bonus that allowed everyone to have enough space. Although we didn't have to contact Kathy, she contacted us to see if we needed anything which we appreciated. Would highly recommend this place.

The apartment is better in person than the pictures. Wonderfully decorated and super comfortable. Our family of 5 each had our own bedrooms which was great. Beds were super comfortable. We loved the place so much that we cooked in one night and had everything we needed within the kitchen. Kathy, the owner, was very accommodating and helpful in making recommendations for what to do and see in Portland. It was a short walk to town and many great breweries. Can’t say enough about this place. I would highly recommend!

The apartment is well designed, creative furnishings. Very comfortable for 8 But it only has one bathroom; the location is good for getting around the city; especially the Eastern promenade.
