We stayed for a quick weekend trip with a group of friends. Check in process was super easy, and the house was perfectly clean and in great condition. Very large, spacious property in a great location. About a 10 minute walk into town, very short bike ride. Was also a reasonable bike ride to Cisco beach and was walking distance to stop and shop. Loved the upstairs deck and outside shower. Mike was a. very nice and helpful host. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We have rented on the island over the years, and we loved our stay. The house was clean and well appointed. The location was perfect given that we didn't rent a car. Literally everything seems to be just a little bit under a mile away - all the restaurants, the heart of the town, the grocery stores... there is a convenience store steps away. The house has comfortable beds, a very nice kitchen, a little balcony overlooking the area, a terrace, and a grill. It was a pleasure to deal with Mike. Couldn't have been a more pleasant experience. We'll be back.

Beautiful property and amazing location for our family vacation! Close to town and bus stops, quiet neighborhood and very friendly hosts. Would definitely come back!

Really enjoyed the property - great location within walking distance to town.

We visited with a diverse group, ages 11-80, and everyone enjoyed their stay! We walked to town every day, biked to the beach and enjoyed great meals out and cooked at home. The house is clean, beautifully decorated and had great space for our group. Mike was very helpful and available to answer any questions - he even brought over a flashlight for us when there was a local hurricane warning. We will definitely come back!

We had a great experience staying at Sokotucket! The house was clean with all amenities that we needed!! Mike (the owner) was a pleasure to deal with and was available to answer questions both leading up to the trip and during our stay! I highly recommend!!

This house is lovely. It is beautifully decorated and also very clean. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped including some staples such as salt, pepper and olive oil. The location is perfect. It is close enough to town (a 10 minute walk) to be convenient but far enough out that there is no noise. The Wave bus stop is only about a block away. The grocery store is only a 5 minute walk. Our family of 9 found the house suited our needs perfectly. Mike, the owner, is close by and was helpful with Allen wrenches for bike adjustments and dining suggestions. This will be our go to place for any future trips to Nantucket..

Very easy and accurate

It is a shame that the owner is so rude and abrasive because his property was beautiful. I have stayed in many rentals all over the place, as have my friends who stayed at this property with me, and have never experienced such an outwardly rude host before. I've never done anything wrong or disrespectful when staying at someone's home, and Mike made us all feel like we were horrible children who needed to be spied on/scolded the entire weekend. It was incredibly awkward and uncomfortable for me and my friends who are all nurses, educators, and vets in our mid-late 20s. Mike was very rude to us on several occasions. He snapped at my friend who came by to deliver oysters, he scolded us for utilizing the downstairs area (which was completely unlocked and right next to the basement bedroom/laundry area that we were "allowed" to use) and we apologized and told him it was unlocked and we had no idea we were not allowed to put our luggage down there and use the trundle bed. He then apologized and said he should have locked the area, which yes, he should have. He then came over on Saturday evening (we arrived Friday evening) and snapped at us because someone's car was in the driveway (we were allowed a parking spot by the way) and he barked at us "Every night it's something with you girls! You can't park here - you're blocking me!" and was extremely rude and was speaking to us like we were being horrible people on purpose. We apologized and moved the car immediately. All he had to do was politely ask us to move it. He then blamed us for a stain that was on the couch when we arrived. My friend and I arrived early to decorate for my friend's birthday and we noticed the stain, but I did not want to be rude and text Mike and say "Look at this gross stain on your couch" but after we left (we left the place sparkling clean and ran the dishwasher and washing machine) he texted us that we stained his couch and he'd be taking money from the deposit. He also expected us to wash and dry every sheet and towel in the house that sleeps 10 people by 10:00 am checkout on Sunday morning with one normal-sized washing machine and dryer, which is insane. We would have had to wake up at 5:00 AM to get all of that done, and we paid a cleaning fee, so why would he expect us to wash and dry all the sheets and towels by the morning check-out time? He also barked at us about the recycling and trash separation when he did not even label any of the trash bins in his kitchen.

I stayed in Mike's home this past weekend with a group of couples and couldn't have been happier with our stay. the house was clean, in a great area of town, and Mike was flexible with moving up our check-in time. will definitely stay again!

Mike, the owner, was responsive and accommodating from the very beginning! When we found out hurricane Dorian was hitting Nantucket, Mike let us check in early to avoid getting hit by the storm. The house was lovely and is exactly as pictured and we really enjoyed the big, open kitchen/dining area/living room. This house would be absolutely perfect for a family vacation to the island. It’s also less than a mile away from town, which worked out well for us. While we weren’t able to walk there thanks to the hurricane, Ubers were plentiful and it was only a few minute drive. Thank you Mike for your hospitality and sharing your lovely home with my family!

We spent our annual family reunion week at Mike’s gorgeous home and couldn’t have been happier. House is sunny with tranquil decor and easily accommodated our group of 9. The neighborhood between town, mid-island shopping/dining, bike paths and beaches was perfect for the multi-generations in our group. Hope to return!!

This is a great house in a perfect location. We had a relatively large group of 10 and all of us fit perfectly. The layout is great for groups, with a large communal area/kitchen on the second floor. Mike was also a fantastic host, very helpful and gracious with his property. I would absolutely recommend staying here!

Great property location and house!

A charming home located on a small, quaint street. The cozy, new furnishings are lovely. The entire home was very clean with plenty of privacy. Within walking distance to the town center, supermarket, restaurants, shopping., and bike paths. A wonderful rental.

The house was so cute and clean. Mike was awesome and even called to make sure we got in all right! Location is great. About 15 minute walk to town but far enough out that it’s quiet at night. Would reccomend staying here for sure!!

We completely enjoyed our stay and it worked out great for 4 couples staying there. The upstairs is a great space for gathering and entertaining. It's about 7/10's of a mile from downtown. Mike was very helpful and accommodating. Wouldn't hesitate to rent this property again!

We had a family reunion in Nantucket and were delighted to stay at this property. The upstairs has a modern, open floor plan which is perfect for hanging out and enjoying one another. A great location - near the airport and Nantucket town.

Sokotucket is an absolutely charming home, with comfortable beds, and a nice sized kitchen for cooking. There is even an outdoor shower, which we used every day. the location is ideal; a short walk to town and near the Stop and Shop market, Hatch's provisions, Jr's Sandwiches, and Downey Flake donuts! Mike is the nicest most gracious landlord, he checked in periodically to make sure we were comfortable and even offered to drive us to the beach one day. We will rent this house again, our week there was perfect!

Perfect location and charming renovated Nantucket home. A short walk to town and close to the grocery store, liquor store, coffee shop and shuttle to Surfside Beach. Thanks Mike (owner) for a wonderful vacation!

First of all, I will say that even if I try really hard to think of a constructive suggestion that would make this rental property better, all I can come up with is that coasters would be nice (to protect the nice, new furnishings). Seriously, this place rocks. Unlike most people, I don’t drink coffe. My poison is fountain diet coke in the morning (emphasis on fountain). I have long given up on finding a place that sells it when I am traveling. Much to my delight, not only was there a coffee shop within 100’ of the front door (which greatly pleased my six girlfriends with whom I was traveling), but just 50’ further was a Cumberland Farms convenient store selling a variety of Coke and Pepsi products from the fountain!!! I felt like I had won the lottery!!! But of course, I didn’t travel all the way from South Dakota just to sit around and drink diet coke, so thank goodness this rental was located less than one mile from downtown (the harbor) and about 1/3 mi from the beach. It was practically ON the bike path, which allowed for great flexibility all around when planning our daily schedules. Mike, the owner, was around most any time we needed something, and if not, he is super responsive (I think maybe ONCE it took him longer than 5 min to get back to me, but he offered an immediate solution to my need). He had helpful suggestions for us depending on our desired activities or type of dining we wished to experience. The house has brand new everything; the beds were very comfortable; all the air conditioners worked; there is a nice deck off the living room with a view of the water; there are plenty of linens and towels, dishes and utensils, pillows and blankets; and the grocery store is less than 1 mile away. If you have narrowed down your choices between Sokotucket and one (or a few) other rentals, you would be wise to stick with Mike and his place on Cherry Street!

We spent three days at Sokotucket and they were wonderful. The house is charming and has a great combination of open space and location (i.e. close to town, and to bike trails). We were three couples and we spent most of the time hanging out with each other, but also had enough room to feel completely private. Everything is nice and renovated and the kitchen is a real kitchen, not just a kitchenette. I can't recommend this house enough! Mike, the owner, was great too. We didn't really need too much help, but he was very communicative and flexible, and lives right near by. He came by to say hello and made sure we were enjoying our stay. We really appreciated that.

Recently rented property for a girls weekend on the island. Home is warm and inviting, not to mention newly renovated. Great location walking distance to town but still tucked away and private feeling. Owner is wonderful and extremely responsive. Looking forward to returning and would definitely recommend!

Very nice well appointed house conveniently located in town. There is a breakfast place right across the street and it's a short walk to the supermarket and the center of town. The homeowner was extremely prompt in responding and very helpful throughout the rental process. I would highly recommend this house to others.

The house was clean and had everything we needed. The location to town was great. Rented bikes and loved our day trips to town and several beaches!

Cannot recommend this house enough as well as the property owner, Mike. He saw me arrive (early) and graciously allowed me to drop off my belongings before heading to the beach for the day. The home is spotless, with a binder of instructions & things to do. Promptly responded to emails, and returned the deposit immediately. Cannot recommend it enough and I can't wait to stay there again!
