This home on the water is beautiful. We especially enjoyed sitting on the shoreline and watching the sunset every night. It was very clean and comfortable. It was perfect for us because we needed 4 bedrooms. The host was very helpful and we had everything we needed. Just be aware you need to bring towels and wash clothes.

We had a great time here. The location was great and the house was in good condition.
The path to the shore requires a lot of stairs so keep that in mind for those less mobile.
We rented in August which is apparently spider-season so we'll keep that in mind next time...not many inside the house, but the deck and the paths leading to the shore contained continuous webs (and very active spiders). No fault of the owners, but just wanted to mention it for those that have issues with them.

Everyone had a great time at Lulu's. We enjoyed eating and chilling on the deck, and then when it was too hot and sticky we were very happy for the air conditioning inside. We love Door County, and this was a great place for all of us to stay while enjoying some of our favorite places.

This is our 3rd time staying at this lovely cabin with the most amazing deck and sunset views over Green Bay. We spend a lot of time out on the deck, reading, doing crafts on the big deck table and just simply enjoying the views and nature. We loved the addition of lounge chairs this year…great for a little afternoon nap! The home is very well equipped, clean, tastefully decorated and the owners are extremely responsive to questions. We love having access to the garage and all the goodies inside (kayaks, paddle board, outdoor games). We also love that family members that have difficulty getting around have access to everything they need, including the upper deck, without having to deal with any stairs. It’s very close to Murphy beach and town (both Egg Harbor or Sturgeon Bay). It’s the perfect home away from home for our family.

Our family stay this week at Lulu’s Hideaway was all that we hoped for and then some. The location is perfect - just south of Egg Harbor, which is easily accessible via a lightly traveled road along the Bay. The kids loved being able to kayak and paddle board in the secluded location along the Bay. The property is even nicer than depicted on VRBO - we were impressed with the amount of space in the house, which was a pleasant surprise for a family of six. The owners provided easy access to the property, detailed instructions as to use, and a convenient list of recommended local restaurants. We had a memorable week and hope to visit again soon.

This lovely home by the lake truly offers the comforts of home. From the living spaces to the sleeping accommodations to the quality of the furnishings, you can tell this really is someone’s HOME, and not just a rental. This house is located in the most beautiful location. We loved the view of the lake and access to the beach. It was very quiet and relaxing for a long weekend. Easy drive to anything in Door County. We would love to stay there again.

We enjoyed all the natural beauty this home provided. The fall colors were amazing and despite the cooler weather we were able to explore the beach and take walks, roast s’mores and spend a good amount of time outside. The house was comfortable and clean and we enjoyed our stay here for our family vacation!

LuLu's was the perfect vacation spot for our family. The water views were breathtaking. Listening to the waves crash in the shore while watching the sunset... pure heaven!
The house had very comfortable beds, the kitchen was well stocked with whatever you may need to cook. The pool table was a hit for our family! Many competitive games were played. Being surrounded by woods was very nice for privacy. Being we stayed in October, the woods was absolutely gorgeous.
We would definitely recommend LuLu's to our friends and family.

A perfect and beautiful cottage to enjoy Door county , close to many center of interest and there are a lot around. Living room and kitchen are bigger than it looks like on pictures. Family room is perfect for kids. We spent 2 weeks , 2 families with a total of 9 members with youths, teens and a dog, and it was a perfect fit for our group. Access to the beach is easy, fire pit well located for marshmallow’s parties! Kurt is a very helpful owner , very reactive if you have any questions. Last but not least , sunsets are absolutely stunning , right in front of the deck!

This is the 2nd year we’ve stayed and already anxious to rebook for next summer. Owners are a pleasure to work with. The cabin has amazing views of sunsets over Green Bay. The property and cabin are clean, well maintained, quiet and outfitted with everything needed. We practically lived on the large deck during our stay and loved having access to kayaks and paddle board. Enjoyed seeing deer including spotted fawns on property every day.

We enjoyed reading on the deck and lessoning to the waves lap against the shore. Very restful. The upper deck was the key feature of the property for us. Kurt was very responsive to our questions.

Wonderful stay. Property is right on the water with beautiful sunsets. Made use of the kayaks and SUP at the house. Well situated: Only 10 min to Egg Harbor, 20 to Peninsula State Park. Great for large groups and families!

What an absolutely wonderful place! The driveway leading up to the lovely home sets the tone for what lies before you. The wooded lot is such a peaceful place and the lone deer that greeted us at least twice a day was a treat! The home is just that, a home away from home! So welcoming and incredibly comfortable. Then you step out on the top level porch and the view just totally relaxes you. It was like staying in a treehouse and that just made it even more awesome! Great place, we feel so lucky to have found it and we can’t say enough about Kurt who was awesome to work with and helped make our stay even better.

We recently stayed at Lulu's Bayside Retreat while visiting family in Egg Harbor, and couldn't have asked for more. The property was very clean and comfortable. The views were amazing, and proximity to Egg Harbor was perfect for us. We were close enough to the action while being far enough for some peace and quiet. As a cyclinst, being situated on Bay Shore Dr. was also a huge plus. The hosts were very pleasant in our communication and very accomodating. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend Lulu's and the Schmelters to others without any reservation. Thanks again for some great, new memories and a wonderful stay!

This property is a destination in itself. We have always loved Door County with the many activities it has to offer and staying in this beautiful lake home enhanced our visit so much! It definitely deserves the 5 star rating it has maintained. Not only does it have beautiful furnishings and amenities like kayaking and a firepit by the lakeshore, it also has awesome views of the lake and sunset. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck to take in the views, being in a quiet peaceful setting, and staying in a comfortable home. The hosts respond quickly and are friendly and professional. All that Door County has to offer is nearby, along with chain stores in Sturgeon Bay for necessities. Thank you for a wonderful, memorable stay!

We used this house for a winter family trip to Door County. It's a lovely house with great views, an open concept, and plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and has a great view from multiple windows. The kids in our group had fun using the pool table and playing games. Location is very peaceful and quiet but still a quick drive to stores, restaurants, and the state park. It was great to come back and use the fireplace after winter activities. The house has an amazing deck and it would be great to go back during the summer and take advantage of the lake.

My wife and I traveled up to door county this fall and it was beautiful. The property had a great layout and breathtaking views of the lake. The drive to the property on the winding roads with the vibrant oranges and reds of the fall leaves was amazing. Would love to go back to this property in the summer. Close to a lot of restaurants and activities.

First time to Door County and stayed here for 4 nights. The location and view are perfect.

The home is perfect for group of friends or family. You have everything you need for a great stay. The only reason I gave 4 stars for cleanliness was there is a musty, damp smell in lower level and cleaning crew caused a delay in check in. So the cleaning crew issue is one of those uncontrollable situations and just delayed check in by a couple of hours. Not a negative against the property or owner and nothing to stop anyone from enjoying this property.
You can enjoy beautiful sunsets and the location is ideal!
I would stay here again!!

Gee. Should I really say? I'd like to be able to snap this rental up whenever humanly possible, so I selfishly cringe at offering a 5++ Star review. But there you have it. It really doesn't get much better. Super comfortable. Gorgeous setting. Nicely appointed with many extras. Clean as a whistle. Great communication and hospitable hosts, easy check-in and out. Oh. One negative: we had lousy weather and couldn't use kayaks. Really hope to go back with sunny skies someday. Thanks so much for our stay with you!

Our family group (of 7, ages 20-87) really enjoyed our stay at Lulu’s. Beautiful setting, well appointed house, and amazing stars and sunsets. Our dog came - his first vacation - and had a blast so finding a property that allowed us to include him was wonderful.

Our family spent a week at Lulu’s retreat and it was wonderful! There was something for everyone across our three generations who stayed there. The adults loved relaxing in the back and watching the sunset, while the kids played along the shoreline or thoroughly enjoyed their first experience with the Nintendo Wii. Now that we are home our kitchen table dinner view seems so blah! We had an amazing time!

The house and grounds were well maintained, clean and roomy. We absolutely loved the back patio and spent the most time out there. The sunsets each night were beautiful. The beds were very comfortable and we loved having access to the garage and all the toys (kayaks, outdoor games, etc). We are already hoping we’ll be able to book again next summer. Owners had great communication and the description of the property was accurate. If anything the house was BETTER than described.
