Loved our stay here. Came up after Thanksgiving for some quiet family time with just our kids. They are young adults and loved the loft and the evening visit from a deer family. I loved the well stocked kitchen so we could cook, feast and then play games. The beds were comfy as were the sectional sofas. The only criticism I have is for more or brighter lighting in the main room, a spoon rest by the stove and small plates. The memories we created will be treasured forever. Thank you!

Celebrated our 8th Anniversary at this cozy cabin! Great location for running on trails, close to downtown, all the amenities you could want inside! The record player and sound system was a real treat and the awesome fireplace. Loved the deer every morning that came through the property and even got a dusting of snow on our last day in mid-October! Would definitely recommend!

Stay was great, place was beautiful and cozy. Never received check in information from property management. We had to track down a phone number to call them. Called 4 times, sat on for 20+ minutes and finally talked to someone and got a “oh we forgot to send you check in information”. It was frustrating but everything else was great.

We loved the proximity to the park/lake, hiking trail opportunities and enough space for the family.

Beautiful serene spot. Very quiet (but the squirrels have a lot to say!!). We were here over spring break and could see how awesome the porch would be in the summer!

Nice fireplace but no firewood waiting for you. Not very welcoming walking into a 50 degree cabin with no way to heat it quickly.

We hesitated to try this again after a really bad experience with a property on another platform. But decided to go for it and so glad we did! This place is terrific! Very comfortable, clean and the perfect winter getaway that we were looking forward to. It was like a home away from home and everything was there that we needed. And THE FIREPLACE - amazing. We will be back for sure and are looking forward to returning this summer. Kudos to the owner and the property manager for providing a well-kept, clean and comfortable home for visitors to the McCall area!

This was our first trip to Idaho to visit our oldest son. Needless to say, we fell in love with the sweet little town of McCall. We plan to go back as often as possible. Rustic Retreat was the best outfitted cabin we have ever rented. The owners really have thought of everything, down to even a backpack for day trips! Although this was one of the smallest cabins we have rented, it was the most comfortable. Luckily the weather was cool enough that we could enjoy the wonderful fireplace each evening. We will definitely return many times and hope the cabin is available.

Rented this cabin as a meeting place for Mother’s Day weekend with mom and my sisters who live in Nampa, ID. We traveled from California to spend the week in Idaho with family and experience something unique. We started the week in Sun Valley (Hailey & Ketchum ID) and really loved it Sun Valley is a beautiful world class destination but unfortunately if you’re not skiing or Warren Buffet or Jeff Bezos then it’s not much of a place for regular working folks (unless you work there). So our next stop after a pit stop to gather family in Nampa was McCall. This cabin was newly listed and it instantly grabbed my attention on T Advisor (wish I would’ve booked direct through Vacasa as T.A. Added $60 on the price), however we arrived and were literally taken with the beauty and articulate design of the place. We instantly felt at home and memories of family gatherings in Sonora and Feather Falls, CA at our late grand fathers cabin and farm came back to us. We remembered and relived those experiences over the weekend and bonded and healed our old wounds. We spent the beautiful weekend (unbelievably great weather) swimming, hiking and fishing. The kitchen was a place for preparing incredible food and eating at the beautiful dining room table as a renewed family. The living room and fire place provided the perfect setting for sharing memories and laughs. The bedding, bathrooms and shower were better than any hotel. The topping on the cake was the cool vinyl collection and turn table which we enjoyed immensely. I thank the owners of this beautiful cabin for sharing this wonderful place and providing a setting for the priceless experience we loved.

A very rustic and adorable cabin!

This is a lovely log cabin surrounded by trees. We were here in February so we had a ton of snow. It's nice we could bring our dog. Family from out of state loved it. Comfy, cozy beds, nice fireplace and just about everything you need in the kitchen. Will rent this cabin again in summer. Thanks for a great vacation!
