We really enjoyed the way Miro and his friends made us feel welcome from the first moment we arrived, even when our flight got in late due to a delay. He’s a very interesting person, so make sure if you stay to spend a little time with him to hear about his background and the people he has met. Very secluded location with a BEAUTIFUL sunset view. You catch yourself planning your day to be back to the pool every evening just to watch it. The hot tube veiw is even more incredible. If you’re wanting to be wined and dined, you may want to consider staying at on of the resorts or condo rentals. If you enjoy adventure and especially diving, this is the place! Meeting Miro’s guest from other backgrounds was an added treat. His son Randy was visiting as well and we had many laughs at the Lost Dog. Best wishes to all that visit.

The apartment was comfortable and Miro was a very good host. The view of the ocean from our private porch was awesome! And the view of the ocean and the village of Fredericksted from the pool deck was just wonderful!

Miro has spent 30 years transforming this property into a truly unique and eclectic place. It is full of interesting nooks and crannies, the view is to die for, the entire plot has been cultivated and landscaped, and Miro is a fascinating and engaging host--in fact, he and I went out for drinks down in Frederiksted twice during my stay. If you stay with him, you will get a real chance to step into the feel of the west end of the island--it was literally like coming home for me in more ways than one. Literally--I lived in the house when I was a kid before he bought it! It is like old-style Caribbean living but with modern touches like WiFi and properly stocked grocery stores nearby! The apartment you are renting is quite comfortable--a good sized living area, two bedrooms, a nicely redone full bathroom, and a half bath. There's a nice, shaded porch with huge wood table to sit at. There is an AC unit that kept things reasonably cool--and I was there in the heat of the summer. But you're also welcome to go up through the garden to the main house and sit at that porch and hang out around the pool taking in the amazing view. The dogs are pussycats once they know you are part of the pack and will come to say Hi occasionally. If you are looking for sterile, hotel-like accommodation, go somewhere else. If you are looking for a real, local experience stay here and you won't regret it.

Miro is a gracious host along with his 2 dogs who were well trained. The location is absolutely beautiful with amazing views. The property is a bit cluttered with old saved items. The pool is nice! The apartment does not have air conditioning, but has an air cooler that is unable to manage the 2 bedrooms. We were there in June and it's hot; we were never able to have a cool space. We had to leave after 2 of our 5 day reservation due to the heat and health issues of my elderly parents. Additionally, we did see several critters running about the kitchen area; making it obvious why there was roach spray on the counter.

The property looks amazing in the pictures and the view is amazing but the host does stay with you and he has two dogs, so you do not have the property to only you and your party. (He was walking around in his boxers) as well as a infestation of roaches. I would not return to this property or recommend it to anyone going to St croix

What can I say, Miro is the most pleasant hospitable host. HIs property is absolutely exceptional. He has done great work there and he should be very proud. My husband and I really enjoyed our time there and would definitely be back. His property has one of the most spectacular views of the West end. West is definitely best. Also he puppies are just the sweetest.

Had a great stay at Estate Sprat Hall. The views were amazing from our porch! The host was very friendly and welcoming. There are two dogs on property, but they were friendly and didn't bother us at all. The apartment is comfortable. We were very happy with our stay and highly recommend. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to St Croix.

A hostess that was most gracious. If you stay here you will be impressed with Miro and his accommodations. Makes you feel very welcome the apartment was very private though we did get to interact with Miro and his girlfriend ViVi. The pool was lovely and we love Frederiksted. It’s a different experience than Krysten Stead or the side but it is well worth our vacation

I’ll make this short….. I didn’t stay bc when my husband & I pulled up it looked nothing like the pics on the website & more like a junkyard!!! The owner was rude & that was my first impression after meeting him! He kept saying whatever we didn’t like was NOT HIS PROBLEM when in fact it was! The pics must’ve been from 2014 when he joined Vrbo so don’t let them fool you! This is the reason a 5 day stay is so cheap! You are paying for attitude & a dirty property so DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME IR MONEY!!

The property as a whole is amazing! The dogs were incredibly sweet. The pool, hot tub, and views were the best. Miro is knowledgeable and friendly. The only complaint is that we’re from Texas and the air conditioning was not enough! It got better as we stayed. I would definitely recommend.

I can’t say enough about the host and his wonderful dogs. We arrived to the grand tour of the property. It was everything that I hoped it would be for my birthday weekend. The view itself is worth a million dollars but the host made us feel like it was our home away from home. He has put a lot of work into the property and it shows. It’s beautiful we ran into the lights going out but it’s expected on an island he answered our questions and let us know that it would not be long and assured us if it was more than a hour or two he would put on the generator. I would love to visit again thank you so much for making my birthday special. I miss coco and toro already.

We will be back and stay with Miro again. He is a wonderful host. The property overlooks the Caribbean Sea and it is breathtaking. Trees are gorgeous Extremely private . The sunsets are just gorgeous Family friendly this is a must go . Thank you Miro we love you. We will be back very soon

Overall the place did the job, we had a place to sleep but I wouldn't return. We learned a lesson to ask more questions when booking. The pictures are a little deceiving. We had a group of 5 so we were excited to have a gathering area only to find out when we arrived that we didn't have access to the area showing livingroom, pool table and bar as that is his living area. The hot tub area wasn't nice and impossible for some of our family to get to. No air conditioning, it had a very musty smell. We did enjoy the patio area. The whole property isn't as kept up as the pictures show. The host was very nice though.

Miro took great care of us!! The place was perfect! WiFi worked great and the view was beautiful! Upon arrival we received a tour and drinks at the coolest bar on the island! The dogs were so sweet and there were no worries with safety at this location. Miro also offered us drinks every evening and even cooked us a delicious BBQ dinner one evening. Id truly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great stay to enjoy St Croix! The price is unbeatable as well as the hospitality!

Miro was an exceptional host, providing little “insider” information and provided an overall safe and secure environment! Such a pleasure! The setting, landscape, and distance to the beach and island culture were perfection! We WILL be returning again soon!!

Best possible stay. Had entire property to ourselves. Pool with ten million dollar view. Security provided by 2 very friendly dobermans. You do need a rental car for this property. Had a flat tire. Called 24/7 road service we paid Avis for. Put us on hold for 20 minutes then hung up. Property owner fixed it for us. Overall very pleased.

The unit, as always, it’s just as described. Very comfortable. The views are pretty much incomparable. The property is looking better which means really good, Miro has had quite a task still following up after Maria. The pool feels great and the views from the deck at sunset are amazing. Frederiksted has also had a resurgence. People have cleaned up the streets and spruced up their properties it’s a great place to spend some time. Thank you again Miro

Miro was very nice and hospitable. The dogs were very friendly. I think the pool could have been cleaner and posting pics of his actual home is a bit misleading, but overall it is a very good value. He has definitely put alot of work into his property

Lush landscapes and truly a castle in the tropics. Miro makes it a daily point to make sure that the occupants are comfortable. From welcome drinks, to a tour of his compound, to breakfast frittatas, to homemade smoothies by the pool make for a special touch. One night he even made steak tar tar (Czech style) as an added bonus. His pups, Toro & CiCi are happy, friendly and always willing to show you love. The apartment has everything you'll need for a comfortable stay while on the island. Excellent location to reach nearby Fredericksted and only a short drive to the hustle and bustle of Christened. Rental car is a must! Try Judi of Croix (excellent drop off/pick up service). Looking forward to sharing more evenings with Miro in the near future.

OMG!!! This property is soooooo beautiful!!! The view is amazing. You can see the beautiful ocean when you wake up every morning. You are minutes from the beach, about 5 minutes. You have a pool on the property that is amazing. The owner is awesome!!! There are two guard dogs present at all times to help keep the property safe.

Amazing view and company. 1st time staying on frederiksted side of the island. Miro (property owner) was more than accommodating, friendly and polite. His property is outstanding with different views and things to do. Place that we stayed in was like a suite! fully furnished. 2 beds, 2 baths. couches and chair. Nice porch with a grill even. Would stay there again. He even recommended some places for food and those were spot on. Thanks again Miro.

Great views. Miro has gorgeous gardens on the property. The apartment is well-appointed, quiet, pleasant and the bed, shower, and kitchen are great. Toro and Cici (two friendly Dobermans) protected us during our stay--they are nice to be around and keep the place secure. I had some special requirements for our stay--Miro allowed me to use the property for my activity and helped in important ways that went far beyond expectations. When TSA examined my bag, they broke something that I needed--Miro, a master craftsman, designed and constructed a replacement part that is better than the original! He also crafted many features on the property including furniture--all beautiful. For the price, this was the best value property we have enjoyed--in well over 20 trips. Miro made several suggestions during our stay for places to go and things to do. He was right on, every time. Great! We explored the island, had great adventures and meals, and the competition that I participated in went especially well thanks to Miro's help .

The location was beautiful and the grounds very lush and beautiful. My biggest negative was in order to get up the driveway, you have to get out of your car, open a padlock (very difficult in the dark) get back in car drive up road, then close and lock gate! Need an automatic

The view from the top of Miro's mill is incredible. Great view of Sprat hall beach and the West end of the island. Secluded, but close to Frederiksted. Miro's two dobermans were very friendly and well mannered. Beautiful property that the owner is continuously improving.

This property is beautiful! The same as most of the island, it's still needs a little TLC in the aftermath of Maria. Would definitely stay here again!

This property is in the basement of the owners home. During our stay there, Miro was very helpfull, and the one isuue that came up was handled immedeately. The water system is from a cistern, so one needs to buy purified water for drinking at the local grocery store or boil it. However the owner provided us with a 5 gal bottled water jug to make that an easy process. Many properties on the island require this. we have had to do this at other palces we have stayed at on the island. In fact, when we have had city water the taste was bad, so we ended up buying water anyway. It's only 60 cents a gallon. It is a gated property, and was very quiet, protected by his 2 friendly Dobermans. We felt very safe & secure there. He has a generator so when the power would go off, due to rolling blackouts on island, you still had power. We had stayed on the beach in years past, and found, that this property on a hill, was significantly cooler than at sea level. We didn't need to run the AC at night. The only downside we had was the last bit of road before the hill needed work done. But that's not anything he can do anything about. Bugs in the tropics can be a annoying nuisance, but that is everywhere we have been. going outisde at night we didn't have trouble with the no-see-ums which was a relief. We plan to return next year.

The property is beautiful. Miro is a gracious host and doesn't intrude. The view from the pool is spectacular. My only complaint is that there is no central AC. There is a small unit to cool the bedrooms, but it doesn't work very well. This is not likely a problem in the winter months, but it made for some hot conditions.

5 minute drive to beautiful beaches. Absolutely gorgeous property. We so enjoyed the 2 friendly dogs and eating fresh fruit picked daily on the property. Miro was a wonderful host. We arrived at night and he stayed on the phone and helped us find the road. Throughout our stay, he was available as needed. His artistry and skill in building this unique home is nothing short of spectacular. Everything you need is there. I highly recommend both the accommodation and taking the time to hear some of his stories. Moro is a wonderful story teller. We will definitely be back!

The hosts are excellent and very accommodating with full use of the pool, property, and scuba equipment with welcome cocktails included!. Overall, the beds, furniture, kitchen and bath amenities are above-average and met or exceeded our expectations providing for a comfortable stay. The views overlooking the western shore of STX from atop the hill are incredible. The view from the porch and windows of the accomodation are somewhat obscured by garden netting. We are dog people, so the large, friendly doberman pinschers were welcome. The accommodations face WNW on the lee of the island, so there was not a lot of breeze through the windows. Combined with the lack of central air, this fact made for some warm evenings. In the Caribbean, the occasional millipede or cockroach can be expected. However, one morning we did find a large centipede crawling along the kitchen floor, so pest extermination is recommended. Lastly, the mosquito population was too robust to enjoy the porch; we would recommend draining any standing water sources nearby, or watering the garden (outside the unit) less.
