Wonderful place, very clean and accommodating for six adults. It was a chilly week so we couldn’t take full advantage of the beach and all the patio furniture, but the place and location couldn’t be better!

Almost don’t want to review too good because want to keep it a secret. Perfect doesn’t even cover it. The view, the beds, the location, the beach all amazing. Everything worked perfect. Electronics and WiFi spot on. Nice towels. We will return. The. To top it off a welcome lemon Bundt cake was waiting on us when we checked in.

We live about an hour from the beach and had friends coming from out of state to visit, so we booked the Tatum house because of its direct beach front location. The layout of the home was perfect for us to have two families both with two kids, one family upstairs and one downstairs, there was plenty of living space for 8 people to stay comfortably. Whether you are or are not familiar with the area the house is in the perfect location and convenient to restaurants, the grocery store and the main strip of Flagler ave. The house is beautifully maintained with a giant outdoor patio that overlooks the ocean and has tons of seating. The hosts are kind and quick to communicate any questions. We enjoyed a week at the beach and plan on renting this property again in the future :)

We enjoyed a beautiful view, just steps from the beach in the quaint and cozy Tatum House. A very relaxing stay. We walked the beach every morning, and were able to walk to the downtown and enjoy visiting some shops and restaurants.

You can't get any closer to the beach than this charming cottage. Very nicely appointed home - updated spaces with comfortable furnishings and plenty of storage. Plenty of beach towels and toys/chairs. The house will sleep up to eight - we had six in our group, and it was a good number for the spaces available in the home. There is a small breakfast table and room for six to eat at the kitchen island, but the only seating for more than that to eat together is outside. It could benefit from extra sets of bowls and cooking items such as measuring cups/spoons, casserole dishes, and plastic containers for left-overs, but there were plenty of plates and glasses. I would definitely stay here again if I had another group of six.

It’s literally steps from the beach. It’s the perfect location and such a cute house. We had the best time and were sad to leave! Definitely recommend!

The old style charm of the home was perfect. It sits right on the beach with plenty of beach chairs available for use. Also has bikes which was nice for my teenagers to ride to nearby shops and Flagler Ave. The home has everything you need , even plenty of beach towels ! Highly recommend.

My husband and I have have stayed in our timeshare condo at NSB for over 20 years. This year our group wanted to stay together in a house on the beach. The Tatum House was the perfect house for our vacation! A quintessential 1940s beach cottage with private direct beach access and EVERY amenity needed! From bicycles to beach chairs to back porch rockers. This place has it all and is located in the perfect spot! We had 6 adults and everyone got their own bedroom (4 bedrooms with comfy beds and bedding), two bathrooms downstairs and one upstairs! The kitchen was well stocked and the living room was so cozy. The owners have paid attention to every detail closely and it shows! Well done Tatum House!! Thank you!!

We had a wonderful weekend away at the house, everything was spotless and inviting. The location is just perfect, and we loved watching the sunrise from the porch every morning. We hope to go back one day soon.

This house was an absolute delight! We booked it to celebrate my wife’s 75th birthday together with kids and young adult grandkids. The layout of the house provided space for both privacy and communal activities. The owner provided everything that was promised for a fabulous stay.

Awesome Beach Weekend! The Tatum House is perfect for a family getaway. Plenty of room to do things together in the kitchen and family area and plenty of room for sleep and privacy with the 4 bedrooms. From the moment we entered the beach cottage, we felt relaxed and comfortable. Everything is very well taken care of and spotless! The kitchen is very well stocked with enough cookware to make meal prep and dinners a breeze. We were especially happy with the enormous area for parking area in the back of the house since we traveled in separate vehicles. Outdoor area looks directly at the ocean with easy beach access. Watched the sunrise every morning right from the rocking chairs. So very wonderful!!

The Tatum House stay was fantastic! From the location to the amenities, we loved staying at the house. All the reviews are spot on. Communication with the host was easy and responsive. Everything we needed for our stay was readily available. The neighborhood is so close to everything (restaurants, grocery stores, etc.) and the proximity to the beach is amazing. Five adults and one teen were very comfortable. The hosts provide plenty of USB outlets, towels, toiletries, and a hospitable welcome package. Such a terrific experience, we would not hesitate to come back!

The home is exactly as described but also better. This was the most comfortable and cozy home we have stayed at in years. Everything you need for a great week is here. The bedrooms are comfortable and clean. The kitchen is perfect and has what you need. Bathrooms and showers are very nice. The layout of the home gives everyone space to gather or to do there own thing. Outside space is the same. You can find a place to enjoy some solitude or to come together. The owners are great communicators and have everything ready to go for you on arrival. Plenty of Information is provided to help you navigate TV’s, beach rules, and the local area. This was a perfect rental experience.

The property was gorgeous. The location and the view was unimaginable. Everything you could possibly need was provided by the property owners which was incredible. You literally just needed to bring your suitcase and your toothbrush and you were set for the week. I cannot say enough good things about this experience.

The Tatum house was perfect for our annual trip for the Daytona 500 weekend!

My family - five total - stayed at the Tatum House. First impression is that the owner takes immaculate care of her property. The entire house was super clean. The view of the Atlantic ocean is simply breathtaking. There is really no need to dine out. The kitchen is fully stocked. The only pause my wife and I had is the cars on the beach, but we've never experienced that before, so it just took a few minutes to get used to. I will say, however, that if you have someone that has a hard time walking, is wheel chair bound - or have a baby - this is the house and the beach for you! The hard sand makes it perfect for pushing strollers and or wheel chairs.

Just read the reviews everyone else posted, as I did, to get a sense of this picture perfect cottage in a picture perfect location hosted by picture perfect hosts.

We had a phenomenal week in New Smyrna for my son’s wedding. The Tatum House was perfect in every way. Marla could not be a more gracious host. We took advantage of the toys, bikes, beach chairs and coolers in the incredibly clean shed. This is such a perk! When I’ve rented other beach homes, the bikes, boogie boards and chairs always need to be rented elsewhere. We so enjoyed the patio each morning for drinking coffee while watching the surfers, relaxing/catching some sun in the afternoon and sitting by the fire at night. The beds are super comfortable, the towels plentiful (again, another perk as there are never enough towels), the initial supplies helpful and Marla’s prompt response to any question most appreciated. I could not say enough good things about The Tatum House or Marla. It was absolutely superb. I’ll not hesitate to book again.

Gorgeous cottage! Beautifully decorated, it is in the perfect beach location. Plenty of outside seating whether you prefer sun or shade. It is just steps from a breathtakingly beautiful beach. The owner is responsive and very kind. The best vacation in years!

Beautiful house on NSB. The house has everything you can imagine, one of the best rentals we have stayed at. No need to bring much other than clothes. The back porch is amazing to hang out on, including the fire pit. It is located within walking distance to Flagler Avenue, which we took advantage of. It is a very busy area of NSB where cars can drive on the beach. It was probably even busier when we were there for a Holiday weekend. Cars have to be gone by 6:30pm and after that you have the beach to yourself! We really enjoyed our stay!!

This beach house is exactly what you need in a vacation, close proximity to everything nearby, yet so very private! Clean, modern, & has every amenity you could think of! Only downfall was having to leave!!! I will most definitely come back again!!!

We returned to the Tatum house and it was just as awesome as we remembered it from our last trip! The pictures are exactly what you see when you walk into the beautiful home. Sunrises and sunsets from the back porch, and steps away from splashing in the ocean. There are plenty of towels inside and beach items in the shed. Marla and Darrell were very attentive to our needs. Thank you for sharing your home!

It was simply perfect! No words can put into meaning how wonderful this place was. The house is so charming, clean and walks ya back into a simpler time. It created an atmosphere where even the kids put down their phones to just sit and chat in the quaint living room. We didn't want to leave and are already trying to figure out how to come back! Again, everything was simply perfect!

You will not be disappointed in this property. The location was wonderful and the cottage is adorable. The house has everything you could possibly need for your stay.

This property welcomes you from the time you walk in the door. This property was absolutely the best vacation property we have ever been in. The house is gorgeous, it is also super super clean. The decor is fabulous. All the beds were super comfortable the Linens were amazing. The patio furniture was not only beautiful but very comfortable. There is a double shed on the property that is stocked full of fun toys floats boogie boards buckets and shovels beach chairs canopies and floats. There are also plenty of very well maintained bikes. The kitchen is stocked with everything you would need. I cannot say enough about this property and the special touches that the property manager does did not go unnoticed. From the fluffy white towels in all the bathrooms down to the cotton balls Q-tips and nail files that are provided. We walked into a welcome bag full of goodies and fresh baked goods on the counter. When you open the front door you can see straight through the house to the waves crashing on the beach. This was a Unforgettable vacation
