The location is the reason to book this property. Located beachfront on the north shore you have a great ocean view from a fantastic backyard with combination of grass and trees to offer shading, plenty of lounge seating for sun or shade. Those who want to relax and enjoy will love it (my wife and sister). Those who are outdoorsy will love it (me and my brother in law) as there are four kayaks available to cruise the waters with sharks and stingrays nearby and with a little more effort a great snorkeling spot on the west side of the coco beach island.
The home is in good condition though is dated. The second bedroom is only accessed from the outside which was fine for us (we were all adults) but may not be great with families with small kids. We enjoyed our stay.

Really enjoyed our stay! Kayaked every morning after coffee. Something we could get use to doing😀. Property is in a wonderful location! (for both sea and land activities)
If you are lucky enough to find availability at this property then book it!

Nice to have the water accessible, kayaks and snorkel equipment. Easy walks to several restaurants and a small store.

This place was perfect for my ‘ohana and I to relax and explore!
There are putas in the yard from beach crabs so you just have to be careful, however we enjoyed catching a few at night with the kids! Also, there is a cute neighborhood cat who think she owns the house lol. We did our best to keep her out but we had a big family and it’s hot in the living room/kitchen area (no AC in that area) we had to keep the doors and windows open for breeze and the cat kept running in and out. We had to keep chasing it out which was not fun and not the host’s problem. We ended up closing the glass sliding doors but it was hot. There are a couple of fans but still too hot for closed doors if we are trying to keep the cat out.
Just a heads up, there is no dryer. We swam a lot and it happened to be raining the 2 days we stayed so we tried to air dry our clothes on the back porch. This was not a problem for us, but it would be nice to have a dryer for rainy days.
We made sure to lock up everything if we left the house and used the safe for valuables.
The most important thing is that we were able to create memories and have a beautiful, clean place to stay where we could bring my elderly father and our kids to enjoy this first and last trip together of his ku’u fānau (birthplace).
I will forever cherish this one of a kind, rustic, Tiahura hale where I felt peace and at home. My family really enjoyed themselves and we were all comfortable. I would definitely return again.

We had the most amazing time at the property. The location is amazing and the house has a rustic charm about it. We would definitely come back and stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay here! Jumping in the kayaks in the early morning, or to watch a sunset was awesome! We went out at least once a day the entire trip. The islands were so fun to snorkel around. Anais made everything simple and pleasant. We loved sitting out to watch the stars most nights. The location of the property was everything! 6 stars!!

Wow! Location, location, location! Would definitely stay here again. Wish we had stayed there the whole time of our vacation.

We were fortunate to stay are this home for 5 days in March. The home is nice and you can't beat the location. A few downsides: 1) the second bedroom is only accessible via the outdoor porch (there are locks in all sliding doors but this didn't work well for us with a young child); 2) while the bedrooms are air conditioned, the remainder of the house, when the sea breeze is coming in, it's pleasant but during the warm rainy season, it got to be hot; 3) the directions were not good, making it difficult to find (homes in Mo'orea do not have addresses)- thankfully, Anais was great and she drove to us to help us find our way. But all of that said, this place was amazing! The yard is nice and we lounged in the shade when not in the ocean. The ocean in front of the place has a very nice sandy bottom (with plenty of sea cucumbers) and thanks to the offshore reef, it was always calm. Tons of fish everywhere. There is a decent current but it made swimming fun. It wasn't too much for our 10 year old. We used kayaks provided to padel out and see lots of rays and sharks. It's an easy paddle to where commercial boats take guests. The mosquitos weren't bad but you definitely will find them in the house, without screens. There is a well stocked store within easy waking distance (they even have vegan food - tofu, chickun patties, etc) making it easy to just stay at this gem and enjoy the island life. I will definitely return to the same house on our next trip.

Follow Safety Protocols
Let me start by stating the owner was awesome, responsive and incredibly helpful . This property is amazing.
Please follow the safety protocols that the owners explain during the walk thru and also include in the house manual.
During our stay we were burglarized on our second night while we were sleeping between 11 PM to 2 AM. I woke up to use the bathroom and noticed that the sliding door was left open and that my purse and backpack were left on the deck The thieves took $2,500 US dollars and other personal items.
What is really disturbing is our son was asleep on the sofa bed which is a few feet from where I had left my purse and my husband's backpack. Also, very creepy is that they put a chair under the window so they could look inside the house.
The police and owner were notified and immediately came to the house. We also filed a disposition at the police station.
So, the lesson we learned is we made a mistake by NOT locking the sliding door.
Although we were disheartened by this loss we did not allow this to ruin our vacation. The location of the house is breathtaking and we enjoyed watching the beautiful sunrises, sunsets and natural wildlife.

Fantastic place to stay with a great hostess!
Loved being right on the water and within walking distance of a market and a very short drive (or nice walk) to places to eat. Have nothing bad to say about the property! Only struggle was only being able to reach the hostess through whatsapp, but she was always helpful and fantastic. If I'm ever back to Moorea, I won't hesitate to stay there again.

Perfect Getaway!
The house was conveniently located but still just off the beaten path. Extremely loved the fact that I could walk out my back door and be in the water. The kayaks were nice to have and made for an amazing sunrise paddle around the bay.

Beautiful property and location with a big BUT:
Location is amazing Best of all was Anais who met us and was amazing. Very helpful, dedicated and resourceful. She booked our taxi there and black from the ferry, booked our scooters and even brought us her own paddle board as we only had 3 canoe for the 4 of us. The house has 2 problems. First the second toilet is not accessible through the house from the second bedroom. You must go through the outside of the house to get inside. In the middle of the night this is not acceptable especially that we have to lock the whole house at night for burglars ( we left one sliding door unlocked and got robbed )
Second problem is the fact that there are no mosquito screens anywhere. The kitchen had about 4 windows that we kept open because of the heat and birds would fly in leaving their droppings all over the counter and floor.
All in all the house is great, very roomy but that bathroom situation is not acceptable
Thank you again to Anais who was the best.

Wonderful
First off, Anais is amazing. We could not have asked for a better host.
Family vacation-rented the home for the view, access to the water; spent most of the time on the back porch/deck, in the water, kayaking or exploring the island. Spent little time in the house except for sleeping. The home is lovely, kitchen is open, new coffee pot, new blender, fridge and ice maker work - bathrooms are fine, 2nd toilet is a benefit. Both bedrooms are off the back porch/deck. No problem having one bedroom without a bathroom adjacent. It’s a lovely neighborhood, friendly. Our favorite restaurant was 2 doors down - and we walked to the market each morning for fresh bread. Crabs in the front yard, occasional cockroach - it’s the islands! Exceeded all of our expectations - we try to focus on the most important things.

EXCELLENT VRBO LOCATION
This location is excellent for tourism as it is located right on the edge of the water, and close to lots of activities. The house itself was really nice, and perfect for small to medium groups. The owners were great to work with as they communicated very well, and even went so far as to make reservations for us if we wanted to do things on the island. 10/10 would recommend!

Wonderful villa with wonderful hosts
This property was perfect for what we needed! It has gorgeous views and ocean access, air conditioning in bedrooms, and a functioning kitchen. To top it off the hosts are super accommodating, responsive and kind. We absolutely loved our time here and will hopefully stay again!

Great location but some issues
Amazing location right on the water, and the kayaks were great we used them every day. House is cute, but definitely a bit dated, and some mold behind the sink in the main bathroom which was probably causing the slightly moldy/humid smell in the bathroom and main bedroom. The fridge in the kitchen was broken so they put one in the living room which was a bit inconvenient for cooking. One thing that is not clear from the listing but a big deal for families with younger children is that the second bedroom only has a door to the exterior and does not have a toilet in the bathroom. We ended up having to split up so that my husband and I slept with a child each because we were not comfortable locking them in a bedroom or leaving it unlocked which we were warned we shouldn't do because of break ins. Also one of the sliding doors to the yard did not work (stayed locked), and the keys to lock them did not work from the exterior which meant we had to go through the front door every time we left with the kayaks which was a little inconvenient. The manager was very communicative and friendly and tried to fix any issues but we were a bit surprised when they charged us full price for replacing a paddle that my son lost instead of contributing some portion for the inconveniences listed above that we could not have known from the listing.

Great time
We had a very good time staying at this property. This house is located in a very private neighborhood but very close to the main road, restaurants and Tipaniers beach. There were three kayaks on the property, and we enjoyed riding them each morning right from our own little beach. There is a very conveniently located grocery store right at the entrance to the neighborhood from the main road. The house is beachfront (just steps from the water) and has a nice covered deck with a beautiful view of the ocean. We had all our home prepared meals there. Both of the rooms are air-conditioned. The house has all the appliances needed. The management (Anais) is great, the communication, check in and out were smooth, she knows the island very good and gave us a lot of helpful advises. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Thank you for sharing your house with us!

Perfect place to stay in Moorea!
We received a very warm welcome by the owner and shown around the property when we got there. This place is amazing! It's right on the water which was perfect for snorkeling and kayaking (which was provided). The kitchen has everything you need to make some meals at home (which is a huge money saver). There was hardly a need to go out to eat because the view there was so amazing. The location is a quick drive to all of the best spots on the island. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here!!!

Tiahura Rental
Had a wonderful stay in this property and enjoyed every aspect of it! House was clean and very comfortable! We used the kayaks everyday to cruise around the lagoon and our daily visit to the sharks and rays. We will definitely be back and hope to stay in the property again!!

Excellent and memorable visit. Clement is supremely helpful, sending taxi to and from the ferry dock, arranging dinners, offering to make tour contacts, and most of all, “making things happen” when needed. Bravo!!!

Beautiful house, nicely presented with so many little touches of luxury. And even better...the house is just across the lagoon from where you swim with the sharks and rays. We went every day 🤗

Great house, great location, great host!
We really enjoyed our stay. I loved getting up and watching the sunrise sitting on the edge of the lagoon and watching all of the little fish and the squid while the sun was coming up. We walked to the best fish restaurant that Clement had pointed out...fabulous dinner and really nice staff. They even gave us a ride back after dinner. We hope to come back for a longer stay.

A good stay!
We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of an island-hopping trip to French Polynesia. Clement was a very helpful host, meeting us at the ferry, stopping for a quick grocery pick-up, showing us around the house and informing us about the island. He even arranged a dinner reservation for us at a nearby restaurant. The house is comfortable. The main bedroom has an air conditioner which we ran just at night. The island breezes take care of the rest of the house. You will need water shoes to enjoy the swimming out front but that is true all over the islands. The property is private and wonderful for relaxing but you have to watch where you step; there are crab holes all over the lawn. If you're lucky you'll see one of these shy critters poking it's nose out of a hole but mostly you just see the sand they kick up as they're digging their hole. The little store 10 minutes walk away stocks most essentials so that's handy and the kitchen has what you need to prepare simple meals. A rental car for at least one day makes it possible to see the whole island which is really beautiful.

Wonderful house with dream views!
We had the best trip! The house is beautiful and the location was perfect for us!! We LOVED being right on the water and couldn't believe how gorgeous the views were! The kayaks that came with the house were great and we were definitely out paddling every day. I was there with my mom and the place was very large for two people - it felt luxurious! It's a simple house inside, but for us it was ideal because we don't need a fancy house. The view and water access were amazing and we keep dreaming about going back! We would absolutely stay in this house again:) Clement is such a kind person! He helped us with everything we needed and we loved that he picked us up from the ferry. He is so thoughtful! He was truly the ideal host!!

Setting was the best thing about the property. House was poorly designed and amenities very basic.
We just left Moorea after a 12 day stay. Let me note here that it poured day and night for at least 9 of the days, which meant we were stuck in the house for a lot of time.
Clement picked us up from the ferry and also took us back. Upon arrival at the house in a downpour he quickly showed us around. When we asked about a phone we were told there was not one, so make sure you bring an unlocked one and buy a SIM card so you can contact tours and restaurants. They will all pick you up but you need to give directions (use the name of the small pensionne next door). TV got only a few channels all in French so the days were very long and it went out completely for the last 3 days. We are not bar people and it took us at least 3 days to figure out the system. Clement did say he would make reservations for us but as all we had originally was email this was way too cumbersome. One night we lost power and had no internet, no phone and no way of contacting anyone. That said we quickly bought a phone.
The house is very basic. The bathroom and kitchen counters are the best parts. All the furnishings are old, uncomfortable and worn. The 2nd bedroom is accessed by a sliding door off the porch only and has an attached shower and sink but no toilet?! The guest book mentioned being broken into twice once while sleeping and advised locking up at all times. Very difficult to use a bathroom when the only key to get into the house is through the front door all the way around the house in the pitch dark and pouring rain. There is nothing in the house to do when you can't go out. No games, books. The guest book is full of rave reviews only but we did notice a lot of torn out pages.
On the plus side there was the view, the lagoon and the 2 kayaks, which we were not able to make use of too often due to the weather. We also had trouble finding the area for the sharks and rays until we took a tour.
We have rented a unit out ourselves through vrbo which we sold a few years ago and tried to make some suggestions to Clement but he wouldn't accept them. Even when the electric went out his 1st statement was "you must have been using too many things"
Maybe if the sun had been out a little things might have been better but with only one working a/c in the main bedroom the house was damp, dark and we counted the days. Even the corner grocery store was small, poorly stocked and unfriendly, the whole experience left us with Avery unfavorable impression of French Polynesia.

A Moorea Dream
After seeing Society Islands by cruise last year, we wanted to come back to French Polynesia and experience more of one island in particular – Moorea. The island is simply the most beautiful place I have ever seen. We stayed 9 nights at this charming waterfront villa and found it the perfect place to call home for our stay. The location is fantastic, on the Northwest side of the island with at least 80’ of waterfront all to yourself. The Villa is located in a nice little community and the property itself is surprisingly big. The best part of this Villa is the privacy – it’s very quiet and private. I rarely heard any neighbors. It was so enjoyable to simply sit on the covered patio or in the lounge chairs and just look out at the lagoon. The view is breathtaking! We cooked for ourselves the majority of the time, as the kitchen has all of the appliances and dishes you need (I recommend provisioning at the Champion store by the ferry). Clement was very helpful during check-in and helped me rent a SUP board for our stay. Overall the Villa was very comfortable, private, quiet, and in a great location. I do need to mention the only negative we experienced at the Villa was bugs (not many mosquitos, but there were a few roaches and some other small bugs inside), which is to be expected being in the tropics. The geckos seemed to do a pretty good job of keeping the bugs out of the inside most of the time. With that said, I still give this Villa a 5 star rating as I think it has everything to offer to enjoy and experience the island of Moorea!

Paradise in Mo'orea
This place is absolutely perfect! My husband and I stayed from April 7, 2017-April 14, 2017. Clement picked us up from the ferry, brought us to our car rental (which he organized for us), then took us around the island to show us where to buy groceries, restaraunts, and even a local beach spot. While we were on the island he organized a jet ski tour (Top Jet) for us, which was absolutely unbelievable! The house was everything and more we could have ever expected. It was the perfect start to our three week dream vacation in French Polynesia. If you are thinking about visiting Mo'orea then this place is a must to stay at. Thank you again Clement and Anais for the most wonderful stay in Mo'orea. - Regards, Chelsea and Graham McVeigh.

Perfect house on the perfect island
This house is absolutely amazing! Even though there are other houses around, it was very private. Clement, our host, was very friendly and helpful. He met us at the ferry dock when we arrived in Moorea, drove us to a grocery store, showed us around the property and the surrounding amenities - there are several restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance. Full amenities were available to us - a kitchen, bath, 2 bedrooms, washing machine and 2 kayaks for us to paddle around the lagoon. And when we had to return to the ferry dock to go back to Papeete, Clement met us at the house and drove us back to the ferry. If ever we get an opportunity to visit Moorea again, we will definitely look to stay here again.

Private villa, great location and outstanding customer service from our host Clement!
My husband and I just returned from our fantastic vacation to French Polynesia. Moorea was one of four islands we visited. Imagine a tropical island with majestic mountains jutting upward from the sea, breathtaking vista's, turquoise waters, star studded skies and friendly locals.
Clement was the most charming and accommodating VRBO host we have ever encountered. And we have rented houses in many lands for 27 years. Clement was waiting at the ferry for us upon arrival, drove us to the house and gave us a great tour along the way.
The villa had everything you would need to make your stay successful. It sits on a large gated lot with a huge private yard. Hermit crabs galore, cute lizards, and the usual island rooster, hen & chicks passing through the yard. A large seaside porch with plenty of comfy chairs. We got a lot of use out of the 2 kayaks that were provided. The house is literally in the best location for paddling out to tie off and swim and snorkel with the rays and sharks. As per Clement's suggestion, we kayaked out to the best snorkeling on the island, just between Motu Fareone and Motu Tiahura. It was awesome!!! While standing on the sandy beach with the clearest of water, two curious rays slithered between our legs. Magical!
One last thing to note was while Clement drove us back to the ferry on our last day we were telling him we had a 4 hour lay over in Papeete before flying to Huahine. He made a phone call and arranged for a service to pick us up at the Papeete ferry terminal. They drove us out of the city to the most charming, delicious open air restaurant. After we enjoyed a 3 hour leisurely lunch they returned to drive us to the airport terminal. All for a nominal fee. They were professional, courteous and most importantly reliable. Score!!
Maruuru Clement!!!! Best wishes in all things.

Excellent host and wonderful property!
We were met by Clement at the ferry dock and he drove us to the area of the villa. He gave us a brief tour of what was nearby and some restaurants and shops. We stopped at the small grocery store to get a few things before heading to the villa.
What a beautiful place and property! Pretty much as described, only better! We were very comfortable here. We spent a lot of hours on the porch just enjoying the fantastic view of the lagoon. Usually with the company of the villa mascot....an old white cat....he was the most affectionate cat I've ever seen! He seemed to just love hanging around us. He would curl up and sleep as long as we were out there.
We made great use of the kayaks - went and swam with the sharks and rays one day and another day we paddled over to Hotel Tipaniers and pulled the kayaks up on the beach and had lunch at the restaurant.
We also used the kitchen to cook our own meals - mostly breakfast and lunches.
All in all, we were so very happy we booked this place and would be more than happy to stay here again if we are every fortunate enough to return to French Polynesia.
Clement gets 5 stars as well! Prior to our visit, he always responded to any questions promptly and we knew he was available and reliable if we had needed him for anything during our stay.

Fantastic stay! we felt just like at home!
Anais welcomed us very nicely. The house was just like we expected and better. It's simple, with a very nice kitchen which we used a lot!
The bedrooms were comfortable and nice! the location was perfect for us, we paddled to the rays, the motus and the pass.
We made ourselves comfortable very quickly and were sad to leave.
The bathroom set up is interesting as one bedroom doesn't have a toilet and it is located right next to the other bathroom, but really not that big of a deal. The large porch with the furniture is perfect; besides some cooking in the kitchen, this is where we spent most of our time!
This is definitively a place we'll recommend to our friends and would come back to.

Fantastic Owner in Spectacular Location
Clement was an amazing host--helping to retrieve luggage from the ferry and ensuring that our visit went smoothly. The location is fantastic, with kayaks that allow for easy access to the reef and sharks and rays. An easy walk to the store and to a public beach if you require sand. Otherwise, the water is perfect just at the edge of the yard. The home was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. It was an ideal place for our family of six.

First things first! We have to thank always helpful Clement for an amazing holiday. Your hospitality and kind predisposition will always be appreciated.
His house is amazing. Spacious, well maintained, very beautiful and fully equipped, located on a nice neighbourhood and just a few steps from the small grocery shop.
The beach is just awesome. The best is to go on Clement´s Kayaks and appreciate the astonishing colour of Polynesian waters. Plus, you have sharks and rays tour for free right in front of your house every day you like!
Highly recommendable place for your dream holidays.

Great Location
This is a great location and the host was very helpful. Clement met us at the airport and we followed him to the house. The area where most of the tours to see sharks and rays is a very close kayak trip away. Some of the local restaurants are excellent. All in all a good stay and a good value.
