Entire process was pretty easy. Stay was goid. Only negative was the shower....although nice and stylish, it was a small walkin type with no doors/curtains so the entire floor outside of the shower was wet. Other then that, stay was good.

Home is very clean & nice. Big backyard. Neighbors across street have big dogs that bark off & on. We enjoyed our stay here a lot. Mahalo.

It was conveniently located with a supermarket nearby. We received a reminder about check-out procedure including sheets and towels which we did not see in the manual received in advance. It would have been better if it had been included in the manual sent before check-in.

Some mention road noise as an issue, but it was not too noticeable most of the time. The real noise issue in this neighborhood are the sixty or seventy dogs that live across the street and bark all evening, but it turns out, this is something you can get used to. Sometimes a rooster wanders into the unfenced backyard around 3-8am and calls loudly as well, but also not a major issue for us. All of the check-in and check-out protocols are clearly defined and uncomplicated. No AC, of course, but even during a relatively hot stretch for Hilo, the ceiling fans kept things manageable. Would recommend against only for those highly sensitive to (dog!) noise, otherwise this is a solid rental.

Had a wonderful time. The property was centrally located close to shops/restaurants/beaches. The house was clean and spacious with a well stocked kitchen. The garden was huge and provided us with yummy bananas and oranges. There was only a minor inconvenience-no closet/dresser in one of the bedrooms

The property is exactly as shown. Vaughn responded swiftly to any concerns. The house is quite close to a major roadway resulting in some traffic noise sporadically during the day, sometimes well into the evening. But this roadway is also the main route to much of the shopping and restaurants in and around Hilo, so we were OK with the trade-off. Vaughn also offered us some fresh fruit from trees on the property, which was very kind of him. Our thanks to him for allowing us to use the property for our extended winter stay, it was a trip we will long remember.

The property was everything we could have asked for. Quite possibly the BEST stocked kitchen we've ever seen in a VRBO! We loved our stay and have added this place to our short list for our next trip to Hilo. Mahalo nui

The accommodations at Vaughn’s were perfect for us. It was conveniently located with easy access to supermarkets and local food options. We were able to travel up and down the Hilo coast to enjoy so many nature activities, marked and unmarked hiking trails, waterfalls and secluded beaches. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Well located and appointed. Weather took out a power pole and lost power for a few hours. Vaughn, Wilbert, and the power company were on it! Awesome job everyone!

the house was very clean with ample room for 3-6 persons. Very convenient to all parts of the island. Fruit trees in the backyard and lovely space.

It gave my family and I, a home away from home experience to make us feel comfortable and relax.

Property is very beautiful, house is upgraded with nice walk in showers, exception to the water splashing out of shower, gas stove is awesome. I did send a message when I noticed that the microwave did not have a glass turntable. I'm sure in order to keep this property well kept, guest need to follow the rules, unfortunately for me the check out reminder procedures were a little too much. I believe I left the property looking exactly how we checked in. But, Why did I have the cleaning fee? especially if I needed to take the pillow cases and linens off the bed. Emphasizing "Put back everything in it's place", Not all guests are the same. I also noticed that an additional fee was also charged for 4 adults and 2 children, is that a normal additional fee that is charged for 6 guest? Although we only had 4 adults stay, but not sure why the extra charge. I fully understand the House Rules is put in place so the property is well taken care of, but I was feeling a bit stressed on following check out procedures. Also when stating to put all recently used dishes in the dishwasher, which I did. All others were washed and put away after each use. But to instruct to put dishes in dishwasher and run it, sorry there was no instructions on how to start and what soap or where it goes. Not all guest know how to use a dishwasher. So I hope I don't get an extra charge for this. The yard had delicious oranges that we enjoyed eating. Other than that, it is a beautiful property and may look into future use again, and hopefully we can spend more time there. We came back late in the evening and left early the next day. Thank you. The house was spacious, clean quiet and well equipped for all our needs. It was close to shopping and restaurants.We will definitely use this property again in the future.

My family stayed here for two weeks during our vacation and the house was very comfortable. Vaughn was super helpful, friendly and quickly to respond. Would definitely stay here again!

Travelled for work with my colleagues and this was a perfect place to stay - each of us had his own bedroom/bathroom, full kitchen and garden patio/kitchen table and all the premises were perfect for remote work. The property is large, clean and quiet, with fast wifi, so all we needed for our stay. There isn't anything within walking distance, so a car is a must.

Lots of rules, and major cleaning fee, but just wanted to let property owners know that the way we got there, it's the same way we left it, including the freezer. Excellent location in Hilo. Close to Walmart, Safeway, Target , and many fast food restaurants. Just off major highways. Near Richardson Park, good for snorkeling. Very clean. Very quiet neighborhood. We felt very safe. Use of carport is very helpful. Well stocked. Pleasant backyard. If you are going to Hilo, this is a very good choice.
