Trisha’s home was much lovelier than the photos: it was exquisite and also comfortable. Trisha was very helpful, and the location was steps from our favorite restaurant. We would gladly stay there again.

Beautiful property w a lovely fenced in sunken courtyard w 2 sets of French doors that lead out to it. Cottage is at top of a hill. You can walk up and down the hill or take the Anne Bonnie stairs. 61 steps. The steps in the cottage leading to the wonderful bedrooms are very steep. The rooms are very spacious w the best comforters ever around. Mattresses was a bit to firm for me. To get hot water for sinks you need to hit a switch. Pull the string for the shower hot water. And it gets hot. Be careful. There are radiators for heat that you need to turn on if you want them warm and remember to turn them Off when you won’t be in that room. We only used the kitchen one. We mostly used the fireplace. If I ever had a a question I got an answer right away. The building is a pale pink and in the sun at first it looks more white. Parking is a challenge. There is parking behind it. Get a small car. It’s tight to get up the small hill that is kinda like a super narrow drive w a building on one side brink wall on the other and a couple of turns you need to make. Our 1st try we added some we white paint to the car from the building. We did not have a small car. In Kinsale you need a little car. Parking is a challenge, the roads are narrow and people are parking blocking lanes. The cottage had a great kitchen w everything you need. Somee Wed items are left behind for others. We left extra toilet paper and some orchard thieves cider. Along w some tea lights. Large dining room table. Has a washer. Not a fan of the condenser dryer but the drying rack is upstairs in the closet. It worked good. Kitchen gets morning sun and dries the clothes nicely. Place is decorated very nice. Lots of books to choose from. We bought some flowers and there is a vase there. Wine glasses for wine. For the money it’s a great option.

We loved this property. It immediately felt like home. It’s well equipped, stylishly decorated and extremely comfortable. It’s just a couple of minutes walk to the centre of Kinsale, but has parking, which was great. Trisha, the host, was friendly and helpful too. We are already missing the place!

Trish is a Super host. 18 Higher O’Connell Street is really lovely. Everything there that one needs. Perfectly clean and comfortable. Beautiful outside space. Convenient location. Everything within walking distance. We loved our stay there and would choose this property again when visiting kinsale. Trish was most attentive and helpful.

We had an amazing stay in Trisha's property. It felt like a real home from home. Such a great location,literally moments from the centre of Kinsale. The house has everything you could possibly need, so well equipped. Really comfy for lounging round on rainy days, we enjoyed watching the Olympics on the cosy couch! Lovely outdoor area for eating when the sun came out. Comfy beds and soft linen. We loved everything about this property and we will hopefully be back some time. Thanks Trisha.

We cannot recommend Trisha’s house enough. We completely relaxed in it and it has a very welcoming feeling. It is beautifully furnished & very comfortable. The house is very central, with easy access to everything. Trisha was a great host, giving us suggestions of places of interest. Trisha also let us stay an extra night which was a great gift. Thank you once again Trisha, we really hope to return soon.

The house is beautifully decorated as well as functional. We felt welcome and at home from the moment we arrived. The location is steps from everything yet still very quiet. Visiting in February it was ideal to come in from the cold to such a cozy, inviting space! Trisha is a lovely host and we would absolutely recommend her home to anyone visiting Kinsale.

The house was perfect for our needs and our family: in the village but still quiet. The interior was very nice too and has got everything one needs.

My 2 daughters & myself all agreed that this was the best house we rented.Very nice furnishing & so close to all Kinsale has to offer.We all loved our stay .Hope to return next year.

We go frequently to Kinsale as we have relatives in the area, though prefer a degree of independence. The property is spotless, very well designed and equipped. It is in a perfect location for all amenities. Virginia was very welcoming and went the extra mile to ensure that we were comfortably installed We would definitely recommend a stay at this property.

I rarely write reviews but I must let you know that you will not be disappointed with this property and outstanding customer service. I spent a week with a friend over St. Patrick's Day 2017. I have been to Kinsale 3 times and rented from others which were nice. I am so happy that we found this home and plan on coming back soon. The location is right in the heart of town and it still seems like a quaint private and quiet location. Yes Kinsale has Ireland's best food and the world's greatest people. Trisha is no exception. Everything felt like home and the service was outstanding. I left plenty of coal for the BBQ as well as kindling to start a beautiful fire at night. This was by far my best visit to Kinsale. We were very pleased to spend a week in this spotless, comfortable house. It's short walk to excellent restaurants, good shops and historic buildings; a short drive to some of the most beautiful spots on Ireland's south coast. Highly recommended.

I chose this cottage because I was really impressed with the photos and the positive reviews, I have to say I was not disappointed! The house is Soooo fabulous, the interior is stunning and the patio area a real sun trap. We had our 16 month old daughter with us and it was great as we didn't need to bring a high chair or travel cot. The location is great too as it's so quick to get to the shops, cafe's and restaurants. We had a wonderful holiday and thoroughly recommend staying in this little gem.

We were searching for a small home in or near Kinsale. What a find! Lovely, refurbished 2 bedroom with one bath, in the heart of Kinsale. Beautifully decorated, with a professional designer's flair. Fresh flowers and plenty of fuel for the fire on arrival. Walk to everything, yet in a peaceful, quiet location. Master has a queen, 2nd bedroom has a queen and twin. (Livingroom couch is also a comfortable sleeping alternative.) Car park in the back, good wifi. Delightful owner. When you rent it, please take good care of the place, as we can't wait to return. We stayed in this 2-bed home at the start of August. A family with 3 young boys, we were able to have meals together in the back garden and the large open plan living/dining space as well as easily enjoy our very first visit to Kinsale. The kitchen, which is all modern like the rest of the house, has folding doors that open it up to the patio garden - perfect for summer visits but even when it rained were terrific to be able to open up the house. The pictures on the website are not an exaggeration, this is a cleanly designed and presented house with TV/sofa perfect for the end of a busy day and early morning kids' entertainment while preparing for our next day out. Bedrooms and bathroom have great furniture and natural light, all well presented when we arrived. The house is two minutes walk from a terrific local pub and shops and five minutes from the town centre and marina so evening walks were easy - and we were able to go out for forgotten pints of milk or just explore without hassle. We had a large 7-seater car too that we either parked just outside the front door or in the parking area at the rear of the property. Both were no problem so we could use the house as a base to explore the beaches south of Kinsale or head into Cork, Cobh and other local places. The house owner was also in contact with us by mobile phone with tips for where to go and where to eat out, and with answers to any questions. Very helpful. We very much recommend this rental if you want to be central for access to a great place like Kinsale or to venture to the rest of the south coast/West Cork area.

I rented this house for a weekend away with the girls. The house was so inviting and cosy that we didn't want to leave. The location is excellent and the house has all the facilities you could ask for in a rental property. I would highly recommend staying here as the unique and quirky characteristics of this cottage offer much more than a holiday home.

This is a very comfortble and relaxing house. The best appointed holiday rental I have ever stayed in. The decor is modern & quirky with something to catch your eye at every turn.The kichen is excellent with everything you could need, the living area is comfortable and the beds very snuggly. The house was clean & plenty of towels available. The little courtyard is a real suntrap. We were too tempted by the restaurants of Kinsale to have a BBQ but it was perfect for pre dinner drinks. The house is in the centre of town and only a step away from the many restaurants, pubs and shops Kinsale has to offer. Although in the middle of town it was remarkably peacful & relaxing. Kinsale is a very historic town and there are some lovely walks with beautiful views. The ghost tour is a must! No 8 highly recommended!!
