Older home close to the speedway

I found the home to be perfect for our needs. It was clean, well appointed with anything we could possibly need and very relaxed. My one criticism is the tv. Surely it would be possible to get cable in there to be able to watch live sports such as pro and college foorball.

Plenty of room for a group of friends to spend the weekend. The layout of the house worked great. The downstairs bathroom while quirky works great for getting ready in the morning. We used all areas of the house, the basement for games, the upstairs living room for chatting. Plenty of room for 6 without feeling cramped. The view of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the pagoda are priceless. The ease of getting to shops and restaurants made the trip very enjoyable. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Stayed here with friends on a guys night out in Indy/Speedway. Great little house. On first glance it looks a little dated but it's clean and has a great basement (with bar) and deck.

Convenient location to IMS and Main Street.

So neat to be right by the track. They just so happened to have fireworks the weekend we were there and those were neat to watch right from the deck. Very well decorated and cozy atmosphere. The steps to the basement were a little squeaky but we made it into an inside joke during the stay, something funny to remember :) would highly recommend.

Good location

There was plenty of space for 6 of us to spread out yet gather round the table or the basement bar to spend some time together. Although the downstairs has an interesting set-up (shower in laundry room and bathroom in another location), we were so grateful to have two toilets and two showers. The kitchen is a nice size, the beds are comfortable, and we loved having the Speedway in the backyard, even when not race weekend. Downtown is just a few blocks away with some great restaurants, too. It was a comfortable place to stay!

The house worked out okay, the bedrooms and bathrooms just laid out kind of weird for us. Overall house was good.

The home is located in a great location- super close to the speedway and just a short jaunt to downtown Indy. My only complaint is that there was only 1 channel on the TV that worked, besides the infomercial channels. We were hoping to watch a movie or show to wind down before bed, but there was nothing to watch. I suggest you bring a firestick or something if you want to watch TV to wind down. We weren't in the house much as we had many planned activities, but it was well kept and comfortable.

Everything was great, can improve on television channels, such as having Netflix or other channels other than basic. Unless I did something wrong I could only watch channels that normal TV has.

We stayed at this home because of its location to the speedway. Wasn’t disappointed.

When you want to just walk to the Indianapolis 500, then this is a place to consider. Yes, the price is HIGH during the race week, and the quality of the finishes in the basement bedrooms left us wondering (bare concrete floor - no windows). What we spent for convenience was offset by bbqing on the mini-charcoal grill on the deck, and purchasing sharp knives to complement the lack of same in the kitchen. BTW, there is no mention in the listing that the owners fill every available space in the yards - front & back - with parked cars early on Friday & Saturday mornings. That awareness did arrive with our confirmation letter. They do make sure to keep the driveway open for the tenants - good form! But that's not really an issue, you're at the track! If it was your place, you'd probably be doing the very same thing. Just keep in mind that during the rest of the year this place rents for $100 to $150 a night - for good reason! Our hostess was readily available via the VRBO messaging service, and even helped with a new smoker/bbq - that we assembled! Unfortunately, we became aware that it was taken off of the deck after we checked out - but that's another story - suffice it to say, we were treated fairly in the end. There were five of us, and we did enjoy our own company immensely! Come and have a Good Time, and walk to the track - it's in your backyard!

We had a wonderful time, and this place was perfect!!! We did not need for anything and it was walking distanced from everything we wanted!!! The home was spacious & comfortable! The back deck/patio was beyond perfect to start and end our day!!! Would definitely stay here again if accepeted/welcome to come back!!

Very close to speedway.

We did have 8 adults with us, so we need to use the entire house. Upstairs was great. Downstairs was a concern. The bathroom downstairs is oddly shaped so your knees hit the wall when using toilet. The shower hidden in the laundry room is in need of a serious overhaul. Not clean enough for bare feet. We found great restaurants and was easy to get around. We left early as it was hard for 8 adults to share the only full bathroom in the house.

Great location

It was a great home base for us. Easy commute to the track and convenient for dinner options and grocery store.

This property is ideally located for any race fans going to Indianapolis Motor Speedway or Lucas Oil Race Track. Great place to stay

This location is perfect for access to the Speedway. You can barely get closer to the Speedway the the close proximation to Main Street as well means everything is walking distance.

We used this house for our family (of four) trip with an extra adult. We had plenty of space. The host was very responsive to our needs. Very close to local retailers, restaurants, etc.

This house is the perfect location if you are a race fan. For a house you cannot get any closer and all the amenities make for a must stay if you are in town. The house has a lot of personality and we loved the basement setup in fact one of the people in the group preferred the basement bedroom.

Having previously camped at the speedway, we booked Irene's Getaway for our usual trip for the Indy 500 weekend. It was a great choice! It could not have been more conveniently located and the advantages of being in a house instead of a camper were well worth it. If you're in town for any event at the track or in downtown Speedway, this is the place you want!

This was my first VRBO rental.. So I had a lot of questions for the owner. She replied promptly and very nicely. This place had a great location. It smelled clean upon arrival. And appeared clean overall. It was spaced out good. Had a great sitting space out back and plenty of room for all 5 of us at the table and in the living room. We were close to everything we wanted to do while we were there and good restaurants were only about 10 or 15 mins away. We loved having the Indy track as our back drop. I will say that if you plan on using the "bonus" King room in the basement, it is right next to the furnace and is very loud at night. There is no ceiling so everything from walking around upstairs to the pipes making noise is very noisy. The other room downstairs was fine. We knew what to expect with the pictures of the downstairs shower and bathroom. They are just like the picture. Could've used a bit of a deeper clean downstairs. But, it is a basement. Overall we had a great time. And though this place was a good price for what it is. Thanks for having us!

Nice spacious house right next to the speedway. Great for race fans but also great for holiday visitors!

We have stayed at this place twice now and will continue to stay here in the future. Great location very close to IMS. Communication with manager is very good and the house is very clean.
