The view from the property is really beautiful. I went for my mom's 60th birthday with my family and we had a great time. I planned a very busy week and I'm really happy that we got to visit multiple parts of the island. Local fruits from the property was definitely an added bonus!

The house sits on a hill overlooking the ocean and mountains in the distance. The sunrises were beautiful even though it rained off and on. The view is spectacular no matter what time of day it is. The service is top-notch. By the end of our trip, Mel became a friend. From the moment he gave his advice on what to do at the airport to the last day when he sent us to the airport for our flights back, Mel made the difference. He was always available - grocery runs, lunch and dinner pick-ups, day trip to the waterfalls and the endless touristy questions he patiently answered. What truly won my heart - he willingly took my teens up and down the waterfalls TWICE while I gave up after the first round and found a bench. If they wanted to zipline that day, he'd have gone ziplining along with them too! He was Jamaica and so Jamaica was fun to us. We came to rest and maybe, do a small amount of sightseeing though it wasn't our goal. We'd had a hard few weeks earlier - health scares, hospitals and doctors just before losing our beloved family dog as well. This visit was for healing more than anything and it was worth it. Thank you Mel for your home and your hospitality. It meant the world to us and we'll always remember Jamaica fondly. When we found this Villa on Vrbo we couldn't believe how many great reviews were posted. We decided to take a chance because we wanted privacy and relaxation. It was the best decision we could have made. Mel was such a great host there really is not a word for the extraordinary hospitality we received. There was 4 of us and 2 of us arrived on Saturday and the other 2 on Sunday and he made sure we were picked up from airport. He stopped us by the local grocery store on the way to the Villa to pick up items we needed. He even went in the store with us to help us find items! Mel also provides daily transportation to local spots for a reasonable price. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RENT A CAR AND DRIVE IN JAMAICA! They drive on the wrong side of the street and the driving is very wreckless. Mel stated he's had several guest that had rentals but they were all returned the same day. Let the locals do the hard work and you just buckle up and close your eyes lol. Mel and Marsha showed up on my birthday with a cake and bottle of wine! I was celebrating my 50th! This was so special. Also please check with Mel before booking any excursions. He was a great resource on places to go and avoid. Literally anytime we came up on an issue where we needed something he ALWAYS came to the rescue. His is definitely a SUPERHOST/ CONCIERGE with top of the line service. The private pool was my jam! It was very relaxing, accommodating and clean. It was very comfortable, serene and romantic.

Family of four that spent a week at Windfall Villas. This was a great experience for us, and provided the relaxation we were seeking. The house is spacious, clean and has all the basics covered. The views are amazing, and we spent most of our time lounging in the shade of the veranda or by the well maintained pool. The yard and surrounding vegetation are well-kept...coconuts, mangoes, bananas on the property itself. Proximity to Montego Bay and the airport is excellent, and it's just minutes from any amenity needed (grocery stores, banks, restaurants, etc.). Mel was an excellent host and maintained daily contact, ensuring we had everything we needed and providing suggestions on places to go. He became a friend. The villa and property were the perfect respite after a day at the beach (Montego Bay minutes away; Negril a one-hour drive). My only regret is taking only one full day to relax just at the villa and pool (not venturing out at all) instead of two or more. We will definitely return!

First, the pick up at the airport was amazing. We were confused due to never being there before, however, Mel was there on time and was more than helpful. Secondly, he drove out of his way so we could have Jerk. Once at the home, it was beautiful . Sitting in the hills, with th a breath taking view. The stay was warm and welcoming. Mel, insured we were happy Took us to the airport and saw us off. I felt we were in great hands. Got what I came for. Thank you Windfalls for having Me back.

My husband and I rented this beautiful home. We brought my 70 year old parents with. The house was easy to get to, had a priceless view, clean pool, easy access for my parents that don’t get around real easy these days. The home was close enough to all the fun and entertainment when u want it, but far enough away to escape it when u just want peace and relaxation! Mel was great, very attentive and accommodating (as it was last minute decision that my parents came along so we had two extra people with) Anna was so sweet and kind. We always felt like if we needed anything we could easily contact either of them for anything. I highly recommend this place for people that want to step away from the crowds at the end of every day, to a beautiful home for rest and relaxation! Wish we could have stayed longer. The little road up to the house was a little bumpy, as are all the roads in jamacia! You get use to all the road conditions fast if you rent vehicle and drive. I think if we did trip again we wouldn’t have rented vehicle and would have took advantage of the option to have Mel pick us up at airport. Driving on opposite side of car and opposite side of road, and the way everyone drove there was not so easy to get use to… but we managed😬 highly recommend this place!!

I don't normally write reviews but my experience at here was so refreshingly different to other villas that I felt the need to inform potential guests of why this was so special! Property/Location: first and foremost the villa is positioned close enough to Montego Bay for you to get the full tourist experience but tucked away enough to get peace and tranquility where the neighboring plots are all at least an acre in size. The ocean views are most definitely the best I've experienced in the whole of Jamaica! Which you can take in from the outdoor seating/bar area where we had most of our breakfasts and dinners. You can literally see planes fly in and out on Montego Bay airport without being disturbed by the sound of them! Good sized pool, fruit trees, (Mel chopped down some fresh coconuts whilst we were there to drink!) play space for the kids and good size bedrooms with Aircon in each of them. Maid and cook service: Anna was the maid and cook, but honestly felt like part of the family as she was courteous, friendly and had a great energy always making us feel comfortable in asking for anything! Anna catered to the varying and individual needs of each family member and quite quickly got to learn and accommodate our dietary requirements and preferences. We chose to have the in-house cook service for the majority of the stay! Though we had initially planned to eat out and experience Jamaican restaurants more than we did, we couldn't resist the Windfall Villa views from the outdoor covered eating area and the personalised cook service that we received! We chose what we wanted the day before, and shopping was done by Anna and Mel and meals served at times of our choice! Towels were refreshed regularly, pool cleaned and rooms attended to. We were treated like Kings and Queens! Owner and service: Mel was at hand from airport transport, to giving us unbiased advice on where to go and what to do. It was comforting to be able to speak with him in person for requests, or queries we had throughout our stay. Mels priority was that we had a great experience. We held an event at the villa where Mel brang over a supply of ice cubes as we forgot to get them! The event was a success as our 30+ guests enjoyed the surroundings and good music with us. Summary: Great value, fantastic views! Personable and welcoming staff. Get the "looked after" feel of a hotel but also the "home away from home" feel with the private gated villa. Let me start off by saying that my family & I had a wonder time here at Windfall Villas-Jamaica. This was quaint, private home with a gorgeous ocean view; that offered many amenities and was able to suit the needs of all five people in our party on this beautiful island for the first time. The host (Mel) provided much attention to our needs in the home from picking us up from the Montego Bay Airport and providing courtesy free transportation to the private villa and back to the airport at the end of the vacation. The host was the best and so very attentive to our needs as well as making us feel safe and secure within the property. The property host was also knowledgeable regarding the island, was able to provide transportation and help us navigate the beautiful area. There is also a cooking and housekeeping services at the property by Anna who is so amazing. At this property we had the experience of having meals prepared which took out much guess work of feeding the family as well as giving us the opportunity to taste the local cuisine. Windfall Villas and the host allowed us the chance to enjoy time on the beach & relax poolside at the Villa in its tranquility. From the spacious floor plan to the beautiful secluded views this property offered it all. In my Master Suite I woke up every morning to the beautiful ocean view without all the noise of the daily hustle and bustle that life brings. If you are a coffee drinker, Mel recommended one of the best coffee that I have tasted in while, it was wonderful. In closing, if you are wanting to get away, recharge, be stress free and have a private spacious place to stay look no further than Windfall Villas. Let’s just say the atmosphere was so amazing that we didn’t even have to make use of the TV/Entertainment that is included but we made use of the free Wi-Fi, a/c cooled rooms and spectacular private ocean views. I give this experience a 5/5 and will be staying again soon!

Just got back from a week-long stay at Windfall Villa and have nothing but positive things to say about the experience. The villa was large, clean, and comfortable. The area in which it is located was safe and surrounded by nature. Each room has good A/C, a comfortable bed, and an ensuite with hot showers. Plus, the view of the ocean from my window was spectacular. Kitchen was clean and complete and we used it often to prepare meals, plus there is a cool-looking grill outside and lots of options for outdoor dining. The villa has cable and wi-fi should you get stuck with a rainy day. You can trust the photos and descriptions in the listing. Our FAVOURITE thing about the property, however, was the outdoors. The pool was the perfect temperature and was large enough to swim lengths in the morning, but then also was comfortable for daytime lounging and late night dips. Plus, when you get out of the pool to dry off in the sun, you're faced with a massive view of greenery all the way down to the ocean, with a bonus view of Montego Bay, which was particularly spectacular when lit up at night. We spent a lot of time in the pool and loved every second of it. That all said, the thing that makes Windfall Villa so special, and the reason you want to stay there, is Mel. Mel was the perfect host, and completely made our trip. Mel knows what's up, knows where to go, will listen to what you're looking for and then get you the best version of that. He was prompt when we arranged rides, was attentive to our needs day-to-day, but also gave us space on the days we were looking to relax. He joined us for our day trip to Negril and was a pleasure to spend the day with. Mel's cool and made us feel totally at home from the minute we arrived until the moment he dropped us off at the airport to fly home. Kifa also came by every day with a smile and a warm greeting, and made sure we had what we needed and tidied up the place. They're a great team and excellent hosts. You'll love Mel, you'll love the villa, you'll love the location, you'll love the views.

This Villa was just as described, the property is beautiful and very clean in pictures and better in person! We felt right at home. Mel was a great host made us feel safe and was very accommodating. He made sure we had a great time in Jamaica. He drove us wherever we wanted to go and that was definitely a plus, especially if you don't want to drive in that crazy Jamaican traffic! The property was beautiful!! It was exactly as described. Mel was an excellent host and guide. He met us at the airport and immediately took us to the grocery store to ensure we had snacks and drinks. He educated us on pricing so we didn’t overspend and clarified any questions we had. Realizing the time of day he inquired if we were hungry and then took us to get something to eat all prior to taking us to his lovely villa. He was always just a text away whenever we needed anything. All the comforts of home were available to include WiFi, cable, and a fire stick. Every morning we woke up to the beautiful view of the sea. The tranquility was just what we needed. We utilized Mel’s transportation service and we are glad we did. We had our own personal guide which helped us to navigate better and helped us make informed decisions. We experienced several of the most known attractions and several hidden treasures. I can’t tell you how invaluable Mel was as our guide. Another perk of Mel’s villa was Anna his housekeeper and cook. We hired her to prepared food for us a few days of the vacation and wished we had started that service earlier!!! She is a great cook. The food was fantastic and the presentation was just as good. She can even braid hair. One of my friends hired her to do that. We had a phenomenal vacation!!! I highly recommend Mel’s tropical paradise. You won’t be disappointed!!! Thank you Mel!!!!

Mel and his lovely property were exactly what we needed for our 1st night in Jamaica. Comfortable, clean and quiet. And what a view! Mel picked us up from the airport and we were able to stop at a grocery store before we landed at Windfall Villa. Go for the option of having Anna cook for you, you will not be disappointed. I was very apprehensive to traveling to a crowded resort and researched private villas.. I am so happy we booked with Mel! Mel, the host, met us as soon as we walked out of the airport and drove us to the grocery store. On the way to the villa, we stopped at a jerk hut to get something to eat. The villa is simply amazing! It is more than we expected. It's serene, clean and spacious...and the view is breathtaking! Even the rainy days were beautiful.. I enjoyed sitting with the windows open listening to the rain. We enjoyed daily breakfast and dinner outside at the bar area. Ms. Anna prepared fresh delicious meals... Fresh fruits and smoothies (fruits off of the trees on the property), jerk chicken, callaloo, fish curry, goat curry cabbage, peas and rice... I can go on and on! We all enjoyed the pool..especially our preteen and teens. The view was everything!!! Although we were perfectly fine relaxing at the villa. We did go to the beach. Mel drove us to Doctor's Cave Beach where we chilled and shopped in local shops. This vacation is just what we needed. We will be back with our extended family!

JUST CAME BACK FROM WINDFALL VILLA ME AND MY FAMILY STAYED HERE FOR 5 DAYS .THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY MEL IS THE HOST WITH THE MOST PICKED ALL 6 OF US UP FROM THE AIRPORT AND HAD HIS OTHER VEHICLE THERE AS WELL IN CASE WE WOULDN'T FIT WITH ALL OF OUR LUGGAGE LET ME SAY WE WAS THERE TO CELEBRATE MY 10 YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, AS WELL AS FATHERS DAY AS WELL AS MY SISTERS 49TH BIRTHDAY. FIRST OF ALL THIS IS IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE THIS IS HOW MUCH OF A GOOD TIME WE HAD...FOR MY ANNIVERSARY ME AND MY WIFES ROOM WAS MADE UP WITH HEART SHAPED TOWELS ALSO FORMED INTO SWANS AS WELL AS FLOWER PETALS ON OUR FLOOR AS WELL AS OUR BED THAT SAID HAPPY ANNIVERSARY AS WELL AS CANDLES ON THE FLOOR AND DRESSER, THANKS ANNA.. We are 3, 60+ couples who just finished a wonderful weeks stay at this beautiful villa. We knew we didn't want to stay at large resort for our first trip to Jamaica, and this fit our needs perfectly. The home is on a beautiful setting, million dollar view, plenty of space to spread out, pool was cool and refreshing, covered patio/bar area with charcoal grill was our idea of paradise. Our host Mel and housekeeper, Monique, were wonderful hosts, always checking in on us daily and making sure we had everything we needed. Mel corresponded with us prior to our trip and picked us up at the airport, took us to a traditional Jamaican restaurant along with a stop at grocery store. He even guided us with food choices as one of our party has dietary needs which was so helpful being in a strange country. Throughout the week, he offered other restaurant choices, and answered lots of questions about the island and culture. It was great to have this added service of driving us wherever we wanted to go on the island, rather than renting a car or calling a taxi. We enjoy cooking our own meals and the large kitchen is well equipped for the quick meals we prepared. Monique stopped by daily with her sweet disposition to clean up after us, although we didn't always have things for her to do. We did hire her to cook 2 wonderful dinners during our stay, she is an amazing cook and we enjoyed sampling the Jamaican cuisine. I would highly recommend this if you like trying different foods. This rental is safe, secure and is everything that is represented online. You will not be disappointed. The week just went too fast. Wish we could have stayed longer. Mel took care of everything and was extremely quick with his correspondence prior to arrival. The villa was immaculate, the pool, the grounds, along with the super comfy beds, made our stay. We arranged for Monique to make us lunch and dinner on our first day and we were most impressed with the quality of food, not to mention, the amount! I would highly recommend Mel's place for groups, or families wanting a great place to chill out and enjoy the views! And thanks for taking us to see some live music Mel!

I'm always skeptical of places that have few reviews and they are all five stars. I really dug in to make sure before booking that I wasn't getting scammed where maybe the view was great but they were next to a landfill, or a loud construction zone, etc. This place is 100% accurate as promised and over-delivered. We were a group of five. Two gay couples and a friend. Mel picked us up from the airport directly. He was outside of the airport where things are kinda crazy combing through people to find me rather than forcing me to meet him somewhere. To me, that was huge when I'm in a strange environment and there is hundreds of locals trying to take advantage of tourist's money. The personal service continued from there. On the ride to the villa he answered any questions we had and gave us recommendations. He also stopped at a grocery store and helped us with navigating the check out and advised me the best way to pay to avoid high exchange rates. Mel and his housekeeper Monique were extremely accessible, but never intruding. Monique often would walk over with a charming smile and just say hi and ask how we were doing, but I could tell she was checking to find an opportune time to tidy up after us. Mel also found times to just check in to see that we didn't need anything, and was also available via the phone he provides you to call him during your stay. The view is even better in person than the pictures. The WiFi, A/C, TV, Fridge, and other promised amenities were all in working order. Quick recommendations to improve your stay: If you have kids or a group I recommend bringing board games. If you have a Wii at home you could maybe bring some of the games as I saw a console but never tried it (ask Mel). Also bring or purchase a nice pool float if you like to do that. It's an amazing pool with a great view but the floats provided are a bit small. If you plan to buy booze to drink while there, the Duty Free in the airport actually is similar in price to the grocery store, but has a better selection of brands that you may recognize. We waited until the grocery store and I regret it. I hope this review helps you and if you decide to stay here I'm certain you will enjoy it!

I’m writing this on the morning of our final day in MoBay and it’s bittersweet! Mel’s house is great and it hurts to leave. The house is far more spacious, relaxing, and well maintained than the pictures can capture. The views are breathtaking. There were 3 adults and 4 kids ages 18mos to 12 y/o in our party and we had more than enough room to spread out and relax. We highly suggest hiring Monique to cook for you. She is an amazing cook and made us fantastic breakfast, packed lunch to go for our excursions) and welcomed us back from the days adventure with a home cooked Jamaica meal each night. Monique is also the housekeeper and she’s so nice and sweet. The kids all love her and say they’ll miss the home cooked meals (we all will lol!). Everyday we came back to tidy rooms, hot meals, and fluffy beach towels ready for the next day. You’ll have zero regrets about just getting groceries and focusing on relaxing during your trip (also we found that the restaurants in town generally have good food and but less than ok service). All of the kids loved the pool and would have slept in it if allowed. The beach is near by and Mel’s available to drive you round trip pretty inexpensively in his van (all 6 of us plus a car seat fit comfortably). All in all because of Windfall Villa, Mel the ultimate host, and Queen Monique we had a great time and a perfect vacation. Couldn’t have started a New Year in a better way.

Beautiful ocean view location with a homey, charming and comfortable atmosphere, wonderful property owner/host and service staff who were willing to help with every issue and always with a smile! When our host and staff said, “soon close”, the response and service was almost immediate. Our party consisted of three (3) age 50+ adult family members, who very much appreciated the quaint and spacious home, with ensuite bathrooms in each bedroom. Our stay almost felt like we were visiting with close family, only better and more accommodating. Amazing Experience!
