Pool with spa was great! Short walk to beautiful Gulf with white sand and clear blue water! Lots of room for large family to spread out and enjoy this property

Since we've been coming to Anna Maria Island for many years, there were no surprises with the location, the beach, our favorite restaurants, shopping at Publix, the trolley, etc. We're not 7-footers, so the beach was definitely more than 99 steps from the house. But it was still a very easy walk with no worries about traffic. While the house and pool were beautiful, we were challenged through the week navigating all of the elevation changes, especially all of the step-ups and step-downs inside the house. We understand that these features are "baked into" the house and aren't going to change - but we would have appreciated an explicit mention of them in the listing, since they detracted from our ability to relax and enjoy ourselves. Overall, though, the accommodations, the pool, and the location were just what we needed for our family. Thanks!

This house was perfect for our group of 4 adults and two teenagers. Plenty of space for everyone. The heated pool and hot tub were fantastic. The short walk to the beach was perfect. We loved having Publix and all the stores a short block away. Super convenient. We rented golf carts to get around the island. Much easier to find parking in a small golf cart than our big truck we drove. A few tips if you go during spring break - make reservations at restaurants, waits can be long. If you want a golf cart rent a few months ahead of time. They will sell out. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent this house again. It was perfect!

Ashore Thing was the perfect house for our 2 family vacation. The home is exactly as described. Everyone enjoyed a comfortable bed, plenty of beqch toys, chairs, coolers, etc for a great day at the beach. We look forward to coming back again soon!

This house was very nice and suitable for our needs. The best part of the house was the EASY walk to the beach. IT was fully equipped with towels, chairs, beach toys. The pool was incredible and such a great addition to our trip. We will say the bedrooms were hot, especially the queen bedroom and our guests had to sleep with the doors open. Overall a great experience and would stay again! Thank you!

My family & I stayed at this wonderful property 6/24-7/1/23. We had an amazing time and were sad to go home! The house had all the amenities we needed and then some. My granddaughters loved the pool. Beach which was 99 steps away was clear and a beautiful shade of turquoise. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. House was beautifully decorated. The beach chairs, beach towels, and wagon were a plus. Publix was a few short blocks away as well as shops and restaurants.
We saw manatees, dolphins, and even a sea turtle one night at the beach.

We had a wonderful week on Holmes Beach. The house was great for 3 couples. Very clean, kitchen well equipped, beds were comfy and plenty of room to spread out. The pool and hot tub were a favorite along with the close proximity to the beach. The location is perfect for walking to the grocery store, restaurants & shops. We had such a great time we are planning a return trip next year.

The house was great and the location was perfect. So close to the beach and a local grocery store. We rented some bicycles and that made exploring the island easy and fun. We didn't realized we needed a hot tub but apparently we did, everyone enjoyed it immensely.

Maggie & Clay were great hosts. Very responsive and professional.
The house was very clean and the layout was perfect for our group. The pool was clean and warm and our kids wanted to spend all day in the pool/hot tub. The walk to the beach took about 4 minutes and was very easy to get to. Also, only took about 10 minutes to walk to a trolley stop. The proximity to the Publix and shops nearby was very beneficial. I would recommend this house to anyone.

Perfect location!
Property was close to beach and the grocery store. 1st time we didn't rent a vehicle and used the free trolley. Worked out fine, having the grocery store so close was a plus. Beach was right down the street. Property was clean and kitchen was stocked with everything we could have wanted. We used the grill once. Pool and hot tub was used by all every day. Neighborhood was quiet, even with the property right off of Gulf Drive. We didn't notice traffic noise at all. Will definitely look to see if this property is available in the future. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting AMI!

Best rental I've ever stayed at!
Location could not have been better. Very updated and comfortable. Kitchen modern and well stocked with glasses, plates, pans etc. Beach chairs, wagon, beach toys supplied plus umbrellas and a pop-up. Lots of information about the area and restaurant menus etc. Wonderful hot tub and pool with lots of outdoor seating. Can't wait to come back!

Fabulous (5) of "Fifty"!
Owners were VERY accommodating to all of our needs. House was perfectly & exactly as posted. Pictures do not do it justice!! The pool had sun exposure early in the morning until late in the evening - very spacious. Might even say that the "99 steps to the beach" is even closer!!! We did rent a golf cart, which is HIGHLY recommended!! Basically, what we're trying to say........ IT'S PERFECT!!

Perfect Vacation Rental
We stayed at A Shore Thing for 10 days Sept. 24- Oct. 4 & had an amazing time! This place was absolutely perfect for our family of 6 plus 2 friends (2 37 year olds, a 16 yr old, 2 13 year olds, an 11 yr old & a 5 & 3 yr old) Great location - close to beach & shops/stores. Very clean, spacious & adorably decorated. Bed in Master was super comfy. Loved the pool area! We have been visiting AMI for 20+ years & this is one of my favorite rentals so far. Would definitely recommend to others.

Beautiful Coastal Charm Home - Great Location!
This was our first time at Anna Maria Island for our bi-annual girl's trip. We chose the home based on location, amenities, updated finishes, pool, and layout. It did not disappoint! House was beautiful and the location was amazing - you could see the walkway to the beach right outside the house! Most of our days were spent going out for breakfast, coming back to the house to lounge by the pool, going over to the beach to relax and listen to the ocean, then coming back and getting ready to head out to dinner. Great local restaurants and could have easily stayed another week exploring the island! Hosts were friendly, flexible, and communicated well. Look forward to staying here again when we make our way back to Anna Maria Island in the future!

Perfect location
The house was in a perfect location short walk to the beach and you can even walk to the store in a few minutes. The house was very clean and the pool was perfect for our little one with the shallow pad. Only downside was that the upstairs you have to walk through one room (room with twin beds) to get to another room (king size bed) other than that the house was perfect and hope to rent it again next year!
