I have visited this resort several times. This condo was by far the biggest one we have ever stayed at. It accommodated my family of ten with plenty of room. They thought of anything you might need while there. Will definitely stay there again.

This condo was super spacious for 8 of us (including 4 kids). It was clean, nicely decorated, and we were very happy with our stay here. The view from multiple rooms is unmatched and we really enjoyed the balcony.

Fabulous location, great amenities, check in was tedious but if you communicate with owner they communicate with you! Very pleased with our stay! Perfect for relaxing as a large group plenty of space for all 10 of us!

Pros:Large unit with a great view of the bay. The location is also very walkable to lots of things. We enjoyed the lazy river and the dock. Cons: Dated Furiture and no supplies. We would definitely stay here again.

The condo is very large and has a great view of the bay. Plenty of room to spread out. The closets are big enough to sleep in. We ate most meals on the balcony watching the boats. The kitchen supplies are somewhat limited. TVs are really old. We chose this facility because of the lazy River and the extra pools. There are no restrictions on alcohol and adult guests kept their coolers along the edge of the lazy River and filled their glasses from the River as they went around. By Friday it was basically a bar type atmosphere. In the condo beside us a grown woman who was packing up offered my 3 minor children her alcohol that she didn’t want to throw away even after I and my husband told her we didn’t drink. Pretty sure that’s illegal. The next set of neighbors got into a shouting argument from their balcony after midnight with another group of people on the ground. It turned into a parking lot brawl and we had to call the cops to come break it up. People carried off in cop cars and ambulances. Don’t put the pool bracelets on your kids. They will immediately lose them in the lazy River because they are too big and you will have to pay $20 plus tax. If you want to rent a chair on the front row at the beach you have to go wait in line at the hut on the beach about 8:30 before they open. Anyone can put their umbrella in front of you. If you want to put up a tent you have to get behind the front row or go down to the public beach. The public part is much nicer because it’s not crowded. The boat rental next door was very nice and you can use the sidewalk to get there from the back of the property.

Perfect location for families. Several pool options on-site as well as at their sister location on the other side of the crosswalk. All areas were clean and safe. We also appreciated the easy access to the beach area on the Gulf. Ţwo beach chairs + umbrella are ready to rent for $25/$45 dollars (half vs full day). The property itself is spacious with a gorgeous patio area. Beds were fine. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but the bunked room is twin over full and twin over twin. A couple of the closets are big enough to be small bedrooms themselves! The wifi was spotty at times and inconsistent throughout the unit. We had 5 kids trying to do virtual school while we were there, so that posed challenges. Do not plan on anything being left behind by previous tenants. While there were adequate dishes for a family of 6, we needed to bring everything with us from dish soap to salt and pepper shakers. There's not much that's very walkable from the property itself, but plenty to keep our family entertained on site.

Property was perfect for family get-away. Condo amenities were sufficient for the weeks stay. Extra roomy living areas and comfortable bedding were a plus. Nice views of harbor from balcony

Lots of space even big closets. Everything was so clean. We had a group of 10 people and we never felt on top of each other. The walk to the beach was easy and quick with the walk over bridge. Gorgeous view of the bay from the balcony. Pool and lazy river were amazing and very close to the room. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely book here again.

Owners were fabulous! Always available for questions. The resort attempted to obtain credit card info and amount paid for condo- but the owners tipped me off to it and handled the desk for me. So spacious in condo!! We had 9 people and had plenty of room. Loved having 2 king bedrooms plus the big bunk room. 2 huge storage closets as well. Big laundry room. Washer was a little scary with its noise but worked great. We had access to The Island resort as well with the big mountain waterfall which the kids loved swimming under to get to bar for a Coke.

The condo was just as advertised. Very large balcony with fantastic views of the bay. The kids had a great time in the lazy river while we barbecued near by. A stroll over the pedestrian bridge to white sands and emerald water. Ice cold AC after long, hot days at Crab Island. The property owner was easy to communicate with leading up to our stay and helped us with another group whose original plans fell through looking to stay at the same time. Above and beyond. We will be booking again in the future!

Had a great time. Dealt with owner a couple of times directly, very accommodating. As mentioned in some other reviews, the washer and dryer are quite noisy and heavy, sticky sliding door to deck. Over all everything was great! Thanks Quin!

I was a bit wary of this property given a scathing review that is on the VRBO site. However, I had been to the Destin West facility on two previous occasions, so I knew the complex itself was a great venue. We were making our reservations just as the Florida coronavirus short-term rental ban was ending, so there seems to have been a bit of a mad scramble around the time we were trying to reserve. We blocked out dates for one week and reserved them, but then it was cancelled from the owner's side. Turns out the owner and the complex have the ability to lease out the property and there was some overlap. However, via some back and forth with the owner, we were able to select an agreed upon week and off we went. Kudos to the owner for being very helpful and communicative. The condo is really large. Honestly if anything it is underused. There's room enough for a ping-pong table and some billiards in there with room to spare. The rooms are very nice and well furnished. The flooring/walls/bathroom emplacements are absolutely beautiful. As some reviews have mentioned, the TVs are bit outdated, but they work. I will say that the dishwasher and the clotheswasher sound like they are just about on their last legs, but they worked the whole time we were there. If I had one quibble, I would suggest that the deck furniture is getting a bit outdated (it's pretty beat up but no worse than some I've seen in this complex and elsewhere). The main deck sliding door is a bit sticky and heavy, but it works (and there are two more, regardless) The only real problem we had was that the wifi went out on day 4 and was never fixed... however I won't ding the owner for that, as I will explain. We called maintenance, and they came out very quickly and fiddled with the router. Figured it was a modem problem and said "we'll have to call Cox". I followed up over the next 2 days but no Cox. Two days after the original maintenance guy came, another one came, did the same thing, and said "we'll have to call Cox". So apparently if you want anything fixed, you need to go camp in the office. A bit of a problem when the wife wants to do photo processing on the laptop and the kids need it for their tablets in the evening. That said, the locale is incredible for kids. The complex is great. Close enough to Destin that you get that Destin beach sand without the Destin traffic. Views of the bay from the deck are amazing, slightly obscured by roofline next door.

Upon check in to a large open fantastic view unit, it takes a superhero to open the sliding glass doors (3) to get on the large balcony that had seating for 3 ! After 2 days of calling they brought up old dried out wood table and chairs so we would have something to sit on. The pipes under the sink broke so the water had to be shut off for hours ( meal prepping) The refrigerator would not cool, we had to move all fresh and now not so frozen food into large coolers and this went in for two days. Fridge replaced, but no water hook up so no ice for the next 5 days The metal dryer drum grinds when turned on (super loud) The dishwasher sounds like a war zone when running The property manager, Sheila ignored all phone calls and emails from me after day 2, and so did the owner, Quin. We booked this unit for 9 nights and had maintenance in there 5 times!! I had family coming in from both Carolinas, so when I booked this unit, I thought I was booking a luxury unit. The TV in the living room is old and outdated, the sound is horrific, it is complimented with a state of the art VHS/DVD player! What a joke the TV in the master has to be 15 years old. No chandelier in the dining room, so bring the lamps from the master so you can see to have dinner! Oh, and bring knives, coffee cups, wine glasses! We left the large kitchen trash can that we had to purchase! Very disappointed in the communication (or LACK of) with property manager and owner because they knew we were frustrated. This owner also owns another unit, this is where the balcony furniture came from. Lovely complex, frustrating 10 days, next time I will not book through who I booked through. MONEY NOT WELL SPENT on this unit. Verify that lamps work , running water, ice maker, dishwasher, dryer TV’s and DVD player have been replaced. The bed linens are old and outdated and need replaced. I even pleaded for their help before I wrote this review to please make things right and quess what... NO response I’m truly sorry that owners family member is ill, we have had him in our prayers

Our stay was very nice. Our party consisted of six adults and two small children. Plus another family of six for meals and gatherings. This condo allowed for us to have plenty of room to sit, eat and socialize. Great balcony- Five of us did yoga each morning on the balcony overlooking the bay. Just a few seconds walking time to the pool and lazy river, and maybe a five minute walk to the beach. Our family has stayed at Destin West for the last seven years and this was the best unit yet! I would rate five stars but for one small problem- there were only TWO coffee cups and plates/bowls were chipped.

My family and I loved it we were swimming in the bay catching crabs and swimming and boogie boarding at the beach all in one afternoon! The amenities and location are perfect, cannot wait to return next year!

The Osprey 0401 room was very nice for our family stay of 11 people. The balcony view was breath taking the pictures online do not do it justice. We had ocean lovers as the walk wasn't that far. We had bay lovers that loved to fish. As we all met in the middle in the lazy river and the pool area. The cooking area was nice as well with picnic table area also. It's just a remarkable place. I can only type so much as one needs to experience the views and things to do in the area is a Must. We took a short ride to destin harbor to aboard the southern star. A family must go see the dolphins and the watch the sting rays jump while riding on this huge boat with a bathroom and snacks. Just a great vacation for All ages.

The bay view was nice, but it's a long walk to the beach. The complex has several pools and a lazy river. A good value.

This condo was beautifully decorated and had so much room. We had 5 adults and 3 children and plenty of room. Close to the boardwalk and Destin. Breathtaking views from the balcony. Lazy river was very nice. The beach was beautiful. I would stay here again, no doubt. You won't be disappointed.
