House was as described with ocean views and walk across street to beach. Property managers were easy to communicate with and responsive. We would go back and not hesitate renting from AMI locals.

We had an amazing week at The Avalon House. It is beautiful, perfectly located, and like the pictures show. The decor is tasteful, and the furnishings are comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed, linens and towels, thick and fluffy! The pool was private and the water was delightfully warm! The spa heated quickly and we used it often. Having two friends that required the use of the elevator, it was a blessing to have for them (was in good repair, clean and operated well!) and certainly helped getting our bags in from the cars an well as groceries. Do yourself a favor and stay at Avalon. You will enjoy the entire stay, working with AMI Locals, and we can’t wait to return again!

This was our first trip to Anna Maria Island. Great laid back beach vibe.... House is perfectly located across from the beach. Very roomy and comfortable . Backyard has total privacy with pool and jacuzzi. The kitchen was very well appointed. We will definitely be back next year.

Beautiful house very close to Beach. The Pool was great after a hot day at the Beach! Appreciated the beach items to use!

This property was perfect. It was so close to the beach. The pool was awesome and there is so much h space. We had 7 of us and we all thought it wAs paradise.

Definitely will be back to this house next year. Quiet neighborhood, beautiful home with beautiful views of the ocean. Everything in the house is what is explained in descriptions of the house.

During our stay there was a plumbing issue that caused the entire master suite to be an unlivable space, as well as the entire third floor to smell like sewage. The dirty water from the plumbing issue then dripped from the ceiling vent in the kitchen on top of the island, kitchen table, and floor. The guests who were staying on the third floor ended up leaving a day early due to this issue.  While the AMI team was responsive in sending maintenance out to address the issue. I had requested to speak with a manager to discuss compensation for 2 nights stay or a discounted rate for those two nights. Unfortunately, each time I called the office I was told someone would call me back. This NEVER happened. I had to physically come to the office just to have someone acknowledge this request. The lack of proactive communication made it feel like the request was being purposefully ignored. I would have thought it would be in the interest of AMI Locals to contact us proactively to try and resolve the issue, check on the guest experience, and offer a solution for the guests that had been displaced from their rooms. I prefer to vacation where I trust that I will be able to communicate with the property management in a efficient and timely fashion. Unfortunately we will not be returning to a stay with AMI Locals.

We really enjoyed our stay at Avalon! The home was perfect! The view from the top deck was absolutely beautiful,from the sunrises to the sun setting on the ocean. We all loved spending time in the pool. The beach was very nice and not crowded at all. Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy your home! Carol H.

We loved Avalon. The photos on the VRBO website are correct, nothing is exaggerated like you find in many listings. I would certainly recommend this rental and AMI as your rental agency. With 4 kids under 8, proximity to the beach is key. This house is one house from the corner where the beach access is, across the very quiet street. We were literally on the beach in less than two minutes from the front door. The pool was great to have especially on the two days that the beach was windy and water kind of rough. This is a very quiet end of the beach and we never saw more than 10 people anywhere near our beach canopy, never were we crowded and we didnt have to deal with younger folks who like to have music blaring. The house was very clean, the linens clean and beds comfortable. The elevator was nice to move gear and groceries to the upper floor. There are plenty of beach, bath and kitchen linens no need to bring your own. In the garage is a beach wagon, beach toys, beach chairs and umbrella along with a kayak. If you dont want to bring all yours or you fly in, Avalon is a good choice. From the first inquiry I made about Avalon to the day we left, management was very responsive.

This is a beautiful house with a great location steps from the beach. I would highly recommend it!

We loved staying at this house. It was clean and up to date with plenty of space for our extended family to spread out. The location was so convenient to Publix and Walgreens that we drove our golf cart over many times. We were also within 5-10 mins of either end of the island. Would stay here again for sure!

We had a terrific family gathering at Avalon! Pool, kitchen and living area, plus bedrooms were perfect for us! We especially appreciate the quick attention of the property manager to our needs. The beach was incredible!

My friends and I rented this property right before Memorial Day weekend. Check in was simple, and communication with the owner was on point. This place was awesome from the hot tub to the roof top lookout. We definitely would like to come back!

Beautiful home and great location. Beach is perfect. Pool stays shaded in morning and late afternoon.

We had a wonderful time. The home was perfect for us and has so many extras....including a much needed coffee grinder, many dishes, all types of cookware, many beach toys, chairs, wagon, etc. we all thoroughly enjoyed the hottub snd heated pool, outdoor cooking area. We plan to return definitely ❤️. We highly recommend this beautiful home.

We’ve rented many properties on AMI including ocean front. This is the best by far. Quite street, very close to the beach, and very well maintained. See you in 2020

This property was perfect for us! The modern, open plan, view of the ocean and ease of beach access along with the beautiful backyard/pool area made our stay the best it could be, I wouldn't change a thing. Love, love, loved it!

We loved our time in this house. It is bright and spacious, very comfortable beds, and several options for social spaces, indoors and out! The pool and hot tub are lovely and mostly shaded, which we fully appreciated—the beach is steps away, so full sun is easily had there. There are three unique deck spaces that provide views and sun as well. Lots of beach accessories provided ( chairs, toys, wagon, kayak, etc.). The property manager, Ashley, couldn’t be more gracious and supportive! Highly recommend this home for a family gathering or just a couple of friends. I hope to return!!

Having stayed at VRBO properties throughout the US, I've always been pleased, but could find some minor improvements to mention until now. "Avalon" is by far the best! The property is literally steps from a pristine, very quiet beach, but also walking distance to restaurants and a large Publix and Walgreens. The free Island Trolley stop is just around the corner and the easiest way to navigate the island. We spent a good deal of time just staying at home by the heated pool and spa complete with a large outdoor TV and bar/lounge area. The large, clean garage is perfect for your car and golf cart and is stocked with all of your beach needs including chairs, pool toys, beach wagon, and two person Kayak. All of the rooms have flat screen TVs and the internet access anywhere on the property is flawless. The house has a good supply of bath and beach towels and high end appliances including washer/dryer and chef's kitchen. There is an elevator which is wonderful in transporting luggage and supplies to the various levels. Without a doubt, the best feature for us was the roof top deck complete with pub table and chairs. Truly the best view of the beach and sunset on the island. No matter what our daily routine included, it always ended with cocktails on the roof. Once trip up and you're hooked.
