Family loved the house. Plenty of rooms and beds for everyone. The pool was awesome for the morning and evening swims. Great location as we love the attractions in New Braunfels, everything is close by including our favorite winery that I only get to visit once a year. Would definitely stay at this house again and recommend it to others who may be headed that direction.

We loved this house!! Location is awesome, pool is gated and clean, plenty of space inside for four couples and toddlers. Here are my key takeaways - - excellent proximity to Greune, Landa Park, and Schlitterbahn (super easy and quick drives!) - gated pool (necessity for toddlers) - large outdoor area (paved walkways, porch swing, tree house, pool, picnic tables) - lots of smooth pathways that would be perfect for toddlers on scooters or kids on bikes - we didn’t think about this but if we return then we would definitely bring bring bikes for the little ones! - the house is not keyless entry (one hardkey provided at check in) so will need to coordinate with your group if going different places

My family and I rented this beautiful home for a summer vaca getaway. We loved the home, the pictures do not do this home justice. It was very spacious, clean and inviting. The kids loved the pool and the tree house. The adults enjoyed the natural habitat (Deer), location (near many restaurants and entertainment), and especially how peaceful it was sitting on the porch. Morning coffee spot and evening cocktail spot..hahaha.. We would also like to thank Ben, the groundskeeper, for helping us and answering any questions we had. He provided us with local hot-spots to visit on our next visit. The only thing I would add, is a list of local hots. (Restaurants, entertainment venues, that we out of towner's might like to visit. Ben provided some great options! Thanks again Myra for making this a wonderful stay! We will be back!

We had the best time! The entire property is absolutely beautiful! The house was perfect for our needs together with family, And had fun things to do to keep everyone entertained!

We had a great time at this beautiful property and would definitely recommend it. It was clean and everything was just as shown on the website. We loved walking around the grounds and very much enjoyed the seclusion. The only negative I could give is that on the day before we left, the pool was serviced around 2pm and they advised us to stay out of the pool for at least 4 hours. That was extremely dissappointing to my young grandkids and the adult alike.

We enjoyed our visit so much! The house is very nice and clean, and had everything we needed. The pool and outdoor areas were immaculately kept. Very close to town, and all the local shops.

Check in was a breeze and Myra was more than accommodating with making sure we had all we needed. She gave great recommendations on where to go eat and visit while on our stay. The property was very well kept and beautiful. the kids enjoyed the pool and each having their own room! I can see the venue being a very popular place for weddings! It's stunning!

Roomy and comfortable house worked well for our group of 6 adults and 4 children. The house is well equipped and is accurately described on VRBO. We loved having the pool and liked the shallow shelf with the umbrella for the toddlers. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Thoroughly enjoyed our time!

Our family had a wonderful time and this house was perfect for our vacation. The property is as wonderful as described and the perfect location. It's close to Canyon Lake and tubing down the river. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hill country get away. Myra was wonderful to work with and provided timely follow ups to questions asked. I can see why this property has so many 5 star reviews. We were a party of ten, two families, and had a great stay here. The grounds are beautiful, and there is so much outdoor space. The inside was spacious enough, and the game room was perfect for the kids to hang out while the grown ups used the living room. We loved all of the outdoor seating and had a great time using the pool and fire pit. We will be back again.

My family and I stayed here for a week and it was amazing. The pictures truly don't portray how beautiful it is out there. The location is perfect as it has the feel of a remote area but there are stores/restaurants 5-10 minutes away. The pool is in pristine condition and there are many activities on the property that folks of all ages can enjoy. Myra was fantastic and very accommodating - we're already looking forward to next year's visit.

This property is incredible, the house is clean and has all the amenities anyone would be looking for. The best part for us was the outdoor area. The pool is steps away from the the huge outdoor patio. We took full advantage of the outdoor bbq pit as well. Also the location is great. 7 minutes from downtown Gruene. I highly encourage anyone to book a stay here! Pictures don’t do it justice, we will certainly be back.

As a result Of COVID our annual family and friends getaway to the coast was spoiled. Fortunately a last minute search for a staycation home led us to this beautiful property. We were two families of 5 with teens and young adults to entertain. The house was impeccably clean when we first arrived with music indoor and out greeting us. The home was spacious and allowed all 10 of us to sleep and live comfortably inside, with linens placed out for the many futons in the home. Loved all the personal touches the owner provided. There was Plenty of room for game night, family meals and movie or sports on TV. Meals were made simple with all the necessities provided. The pool was a perfect reprieve for all of us, where we spent our days and evenings under the stars and lights enjoying the pool. Note there’s not much shade at the pool, but a pop up canopy did the trick for us. Property is part of a larger wedding venue, which translated into beautifully manicured lawn and walking paths for evening strolls or morning power walks for the ladies. This truly is a gem in New Braunfels and we are sure to be back.

Our family stayed for three nights. The house doesn’t look big from the outside but had plenty of room on the inside. It was clean when we arrived and had everything you need for a family stay. The house is part of an event venue but it just felt like we were in a secluded Hill Country estate. It is gated and so there wasn’t any car or foot traffic. Only the occasional worker could be seen and plenty of deer. The photos on VRBO doesn’t really do it justice.

We had a great time! The house is on an awesome property that also features a Wedding Chapel and party venue. Great for kids to walk and ride bikes and have some independent time. Property is gated with very minimal traffic. We enjoyed the pool every day and kids had fun in the treehouse. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking. Property is very close to Gruene and Canyon Lake. I would definitely stay again. Owner is also on property in private resident and available if needed.

We just got home from our trip staying at the Chandelier of Gruene and I’m still thinking about what a great place it was. We were two families of 4 sharing a four bedroom home on the property (kids 2, 4, 8 and 9). Myra, the owner, was very responsive and accommodating. It was great to have a host who clearly cares about people’s experiences. The house is on a property that is also a wedding venue. We lucked out being able to rent the home since it normally isn’t rented out due to events since 2016 before the venue was built. It was probably the best house rental experience we have had in years! The property is gorgeous and extremely well kept (we could see that in action) and huge, really making you feel like you’re on vacation and away from home. There’s a gorgeous outdoor chapel, the barn hall, a gazebo, and fire pit all near the house. There’s a treehouse and of course the pool as well. It was fun for us just to take walks around the property and explore a little, and enjoy watching all the deer around. The house was very clean and fully stocked, including sets of bedding wrapped in a tulle bow for the futons. The showers are all standing (no tubs) and recently done. They all have great water pressure!! The floor plan is also ideal- bedrooms on one side of the house with the master (King and futon), nook (futon), and a queen bedroom with bathroom on one end and two queen bedrooms sharing a bathroom on the other end. On the other side of the house is a garage turned bonus room with the garage door able to open, set up like a game room with a card table and foosball table, pull out sofa, and futon. So much space!! The patio is equipped with a fire pit and charcoal grill. The pool is awesome with a sun deck with umbrella and tables with an umbrella. Great for adults and kids. We were a short half hour drive from Canyon Lake for our boat rental. It was fun to come back to the house and jump in the pool. There are lights set up to enjoy night swimming, too. Or just enjoy the stars and scenery! I would love to stay at this home again, and while I have no idea how weddings have gone here in the past, based on our experience with Myra and her family who own and operate the entire property, and the accommodations of our rental, I would definitely consider Chandelier of Gruene as a wedding venue. It’s a gorgeous place, especially for a vacation :) stay safe and well!

Arrived at Escondida with ease. Myra gave perfect directions and descriptions of the grounds. The music was already playing as we walked in the door. Our group almost arrived all at once and everyone did a perusal of the place. It was gorgeous and all in our party were in awe. The house was perfect, the exterior was well groomed and the pool was pristine. We were happy campers. Our weekend was quite a memorable one. Not only did we celebrate my boyfriend's (at the time) birthday but after, he sang to me in front of all of our friends out by the pool (with the help of a blow up screen and some karaoke mics) and proposed. What a magical evening. Under the stars and completely away from anyone else, surrounded by nature and all of our closest friends. It was something we will cherish for the rest of our lives. We were able to end the LATE evening in the warm pool water, relaxing and taking in all that had transpired. WOW. We could not have asked for a more ideal setting for our engagement weekend and we know that our friends absolutely loved it. We are thankful to Myra and everyone at Escondida de Gruene for their hospitality; it was spot on and our group was extremely satisfied. We hope to make return trips in the future as a new tradition with family and friends. PS - the future chapel and reception hall look to be amazing. I cannot wait to see them completed. The home was beautiful, clean and very accommodating. It was perfect for our group getaway and very conveniently located for day trips and visiting the town. Would definitely stay here again!

I cannot say enough great things about this property and the Zunker family! We were blessed to find this location to have our wedding and everything was absolutely perfect. The house worked out well for all of our family to gather throughout the weekend and the grounds provided a beautiful setting for us. Tim and Myra are such good people and were more than willing to accommodate any needs we presented. We could not have asked for a more perfect weekend!

This was our 17th Annual Chick Trip and our first time to stay at this property. It is definitely our favorite. The house, furnishings, pool and property are by far the nicest we have found in the area. The owners do a wonderful job maintaining the property. We plan on being back next year!!
