We spend three nights at Saint LaLa, and it was perfect for us. The house looks exactly like the pictures and the neighborhood is lovely. We enjoyed using the grill and gazebo in the backyard. The kitchen is beautiful and includes plenty of cooking essentials (plates, pots and pans, seasonings, etc.), so we were able to cook for ourselves during our stay. I loved this house and hope to stay there again soon!

My husband and our two sons stayed here recently while we were there to watch a Royals’s game. The location was perfect! Jacquie has truly thought of everything. The apartment was very clean and very thoughtfully furnished. We were greeted with fresh baked brownies! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals for the weekend. It appears everything has recently been updated and is very nice. Thank you for a great stay.

Our stay was great. Jacquie truly had everything you could need in the house and ready for you. It truly had the comforts of home far more than any other property we have stayed at before. There is also a huge park just a few blocks away with a splash pad and three play grounds. Great for our son. Will certainly recommend for anyone needing to stay in the Independence area. Thank you!

We had an exceedingly comfortable stay at St LaLa. Clean and functional, with lots of extra towels and thoughtful amenities including reserved covered parking, Mrs Meyers handsoap, 2 hairdryers, body lotion, charging strips etc. just like at home! Kitchen was fully outfitted and stocked for preparing any manner of meals. Jacquie also provided 3 kinds of coffee, soda pop, lots of teas, hot cocoa and brownies. She was also available to provide prompt replies and assistance as needed. A real gem of a place that’s run by a conscientious thoughtful person. We are already planning a return trip in 2020 and would not stay anywhere else!

Very clean and nice place.

I booked this condo strictly due to it’s location close to the conference I was attending. But was so surprised to find that the condo was a great fit for me. My friend and I were greeted with fresh made brownies! Jacquie also left an abundance of information on local restaurants. We enjoyed the newly planted flowers in the window boxes. Best of all was the new shower and the super comfortable beds. Jacquie was a very responsive host and we hope to stay here in the future!

The furnishings in this unit were excellent, and it was generously provisioned with all the necessities to get settled in and make the stay enjoyable. Jacquie went out of her way to provide a lot of "extras" that showed a great deal of thoughtfulness for her guests and was always just a phone call (or text message) away in case of problems. Our stay was wonderful!Jacquie thought of absolutely everything! She even thought of so many small details that made our trip a breeze. Jacquie, the host is an absolute delight. She was just a phone call/text away if I needed anything.The place was very clean and well maintained. I highly recommend staying at Lala’s Garden.

If we ever pass through Independence again we will DEFINITELY stay at Saint LaLa! We can start with the cleanliness of the two-bedroom apartment, we could continue by mentioning the all of the different coffees and treats that the owner had out for us...fresh brownies, locally brewed soda pops, she even had two USB charger cables plugged into the bedroom's power strip ready for our use. The owner was in perfect contact with us, before our stay as well as during our stay (because I was too blind to see the WiFi password). You can walk to the Truman museum (and stop off at a little gazebo half-way to see/read six historical plaques about Independence since the gazebo overlooks the old trading square area. You can also walk to Harry & Bess Truman's home. You can also walk into town for dinner...its all that close. For breakfast, we recommend the Englewood Cafe, a little dinner with a history. For dinner, we would highly recommend Cafe Verona (in the outside patio) as well as Ophelias. The Frontier Trails museum (and the accompanying Train Depot) are very informational ways to spend a couple of hours. Didn't have the time to visit the Mormon temple. My wife and I can absolutely recommend staying at Saint LaLa's.
