This home was absolutely beautiful and easily accommodated our group of 8. Very close to Uvita and Dominical. Property managers were very responsive and super easy to work with! We had a group of howler monkeys that took up residence in the trees right on the property which was awesome to see. Toucans flew across all the time along with many other birds. We tried Scala restaurant which was excellent and often visit Bar Jolly Roger for a fun dinner experience. Would definitely return. Thank you for having us!!

Our group of 12 could not believe the beauty of this house. The view from the pools area alone is worth a 5 star review. The infinity pool leads to 180 degree views of the ocean and a beautiful sunset every afternoon. The rooms have A/C, which provide a comfortable sleeping experience for all. You can also open almost all the doors and really bring the beauty of the outside in. The kids had a blast at the kids room as well as the 3 pools. The kitchen in fully equipped and beautiful. Make sure to have a 4x4!

The house was a great place for our Thanksgiving vacation. It was spacious and open with plenty of seating and quiet bedrooms. It had all the little extras that make a stay easy: lots of pots and pans and dishes, pool towels, daily cleanings and pretty good wifi coverage for Costa. The view is incredible. Note that one bedroom has two twin beds that do not exactly make up as a king. There is a gap between them even when pushed together. Also, expect a separate contracting process with You Get Here, the property managers, in addition to VRBO. Easy to do but maybe easiest to contact You Get Here directly. Overall, an incredible home in a great area to relax.

The Jade house is an amazing getaway for a large family group. Property Management was easy to work with and the house was fully stocked with all the necessary amenities. Towels for the pool, towels for bathing, towels for the beach! The view is amazing and we never tired of it! Make sure you rent a 4x4 vehicle because the road up is no joke...if it's your first time to Costa Rica, you might be surprised by the incline on a dirt road. If it's not, you probably are prepared. We ate twice at the Jolly Roger - super convenient and a good variety (burgers, pizza, chicken wings, salad etc) and just a bit down the road. The house was more than we needed (2 families of 5 and grandma/grandpa) - everyone was very comfortable. 4 kings, 2 twins and 6 twins downstairs in the kids room. The 4 kings all had ensuite bathrooms. TV was off almost all week (nice!) but the wifi was enough for the kids to have some downtime with devices when needed - but they spent most of their time at the house in the pools! We saw sloths, howler monkeys, and tucans from the deck!

We couldn't have asked for anything better. Space, great furnishings, comfortable beds (bedrooms with AC), luxurious showers, amazing pools overlooking the ocean, shaded spots to get out of the sun, monkeys in the trees, Jolly Roger restaurant within walking distance... Friendly, accommodating people who worked with us to make sure our vacation was everything we hoped for. Can't wait to go back.

The Jade House was a wonderful home for our extended family of 15 which included 7 teenage boys. The view was spectacular and the house comfortable. Definitely plan hang out time in addition to excursions. We enjoyed Chef Royner and Lupita cooking meals for us most evenings and highly recommend their hospitality and delicious food. Our stay could not have gone more smoothly thanks to the staff at the house and the attention to detail. Many thanks you all helped make celebrating my mother’s 80th birthday very special.

Epic views, beautiful pool(s), great layout for multiple families with what amounts to 4 master suites, kids play room, great kitchen and outdoor cooking area, poolside bar.... the house was part of the vacation!

We had a fantastic time staying at this property. Our family of 12 stayed for 5 nights and didn't want to leave! We loved everything about it, and can't say enough about the staff, who go above and beyond to make your stay special.

The house was perfect! We traveled with our two kids who were 1 and 3, and the 3 year old LOVED the kids room! The only negative about that was it was so far from everything else and since he is younger we couldn’t leave him down there by himself. It was an awesome room and had a play kitchen, which he loved! The pools and views were amazing. We saw howlers, 2 sloths (one was a mama and a baby), tons of parrots and toucans. It was fun to watch for wildlife from the pools and patio. We had a couple of private chefs cook for us during our stay, and Chef Roy was phenomenal. He grew up in CR, is easy to talk to, provided a very nice experience and wonderful meals. Highly recommend using him if you stay! The gentleman who stayed on property and his wife were so sweet and incredibly helpful. Unfortunately, upon our arrival on Friday evening, the fridge was not very cold. We bought a few hundred dollars worth of groceries on the way in and hoped it would be cooler in the morning, but it was hotter! :( Having 2 little ones, one being a baby, it was really important to have certain things for them and milk needs to remain cold. We moved what we could save to the bar fridge and put whatever didn’t fit in coolers. Then the ice machine stopped producing ice, so we couldn’t keep coolers filled with ice. Repairmen came Monday to fix the fridge, and it cooled things off, but by Tuesday morning, everything was frozen! Milk, eggs, yogurt, everything! So they came back Tuesday but things were still frozen Wednesday. We left Thursday morning. We ended up losing a ton of food that we could never use because of the issues with the main refrigerator. We had to spend more money to eat out since we couldn’t use what we bought. It was beyond frustrating. I waited several weeks to review this place because property management was going to check with the owners about refunding part of our trip. I’ve not heard anything, which is incredibly disappointing because you would hope they’d want to make it right and encourage their visitors to stay again. We love CR, and this was our third time to the country. We WILL go again, and we would have loved to stay here again because the house itself is fantastic. However, after our experience and the lack of effort to try to make things right once we left, we will probably stay elsewhere.

The property is absolutely beautiful!!! I can't say enough about the views! The house is amazing!!! The finishes are impecable and the entire house is very comfortable. You definitely need a 4x4 to get to the house from the highway, but it's only a short drive. The drive from San Jose is very easy. The staff is also incredible, the couple that takes care of the house is very helpful and always available, we really can't say enough good things about them! The management company was also great! We had some issues with the internet and they fixed them right away. If someone in your group has trouble with stairs keep in mind there are a lot of them to get from the parking area to the entrance of the house. Once inside the house it's much better, but still there are stairs to get to all bedrooms. Otherwise, the house is absolutely perfect!!! We'll definitely be back!

Above and beyond our expectations...the view, the pools, the kitchen, the bedrooms...everything, 10 stars on a 5 star rating! We were free to relax and create magical memory moments with our adult children and grandchildren...and yes a visit to the Jolly Roger is a part of the magic....we highly recommend a week or more at the Jade House..

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our week at Jade House. The house is gorgeous, has amazing views and the pools were fantastic. We were able to see two types of monkeys, iguanas, lots of birds and a sloth. It is in a “remote” area so you do need a 4x4 vehicle. Thanks for a great week.

Our time at The Jade House and in Costa Rica was truly remarkable. The Jade House was as luxurious as its photos look, Costa Rica is beautiful, the South Pacific breathtaking, the Rain Forest peaceful and calming as we shared the space with the sloths, toucans, howler monkeys and beautiful birds, the people so wonderfully kind and welcoming, the food and restaurants a special treat at every meal, so many activities to keep everyone from youngest to oldest talking about what they had done that day. Fabulous. The Jade House is perfect, providing access to everything we wanted to do and experience. Most of all, relaxing in the luxury of the covered central family patio next to the 3 pools - one of which is perfect for grandkids just learning how to swim - everyone could not be happier! We cooked in and enjoyed the night air half the nights because it is so beautiful and relaxing. The grandkids loved the collection of movies, swimming, playing pool, and sleeping .... they were so exhausted every night. Carolina and Ditier, the caretakers, took great care of us and the house. The Jade house, staff and management company could not have been better. This exceptional home provided luxury, privacy, wonder, excitement and great joy to our family of adult children, spouses and our grandchildred right down to high chair. We would certainly return to stay at the Jade House. It’s beuaty would be hard to compare. A family retreat that we will treasure always. The people of Costa Rica kind and welcoming. They appreciate the Pure Vida and God’s creation that surround them in land and nature.

This house is absolutely amazing. It's more than spacious, has updated decor, and plenty of entertainment with the multiple swimming pools, billiards, and hundreds of movies. The view is breathtaking.

Imagine being lulled to sleep by the hum of the Rainforest, and waking to the sound of monkeys, then enjoying a different show of wildlife every day as you laze around one of the three swimming pools. The Jade House provided us with ultimate luxury, nestled inside the most beautiful, untouched Costa Rican Rainforest. Our party of 13 consisted of children aged 8-16, and adults 21-50. The property provided plentiful space and the layout means that there's a large central family area but also lots of private areas where the younger adults and teenagers could escape to. We wanted a holiday which would combine relaxation with action and that is exactly what we got. We spent half of our week-long stay relaxing in the spectacular property, enjoying the breathtaking Ocean views from the pool or one of the terraces, cooking on the large outdoor gas BBQ or Paella stove, drinking cocktails from the swim-up bar, saying 'Hi' to the visiting Sloths and Toucans......basically enjoying Paradise. Then we made the most of the excursions organised very efficiently by You Get There. Some great family memories were made on the Savagre River Rafting Tour, and the AVT jungle experience which included swimming under a natural waterfall. On another day, the men all headed off for a day fishing at sea (catching a Sail Fish and a 40lb Dorado) while the girls visited nearby Domical to enjoy watching the surfers and browsing the varied shops in this little seaside town. We finished off our stay with amazing poolside massages, again organised by our hosting You Get There. We loved the Costa Rican people, who welcomed us everywhere we went, and we enjoyed the fact that this was in many way a no frills holiday, yet with the most beautiful, luxurious, peaceful, functional home to return to after every trip out. The property's caretaker and housekeeper live in a neighbouring house within the grounds and provide a great service without interfering with your break. I would highly recommend this holiday and this property. Make sure you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle, and make sure you book some excursions to make the most of the area around you. Also, head to the Jolly Roger (About 300 meters away from the property) for the best Chicken Wings and beer in Costa Rica.

AMAZING HOME, right when you walk through the doors it takes your breath away. It has a very open and modern feel to it, the infinity pool is awesome! it has a stunning view of the coast and you can hear and see monkeys, sloths, and toucans in the trees from the outside deck. The house also comes equipped with a stereo system so you can listen to your favorite music while relaxing in the pool. Beautiful decor, the beds were comfy, there is even a 'secret' room behind the bookshelf. The whole trip was like a dream! Cannot wait to come back!

The stay was magnificent! Home was in great condition, convenient to attractions, and had a beautiful view with a lovely pool.

We rented the Jade House for our family vacation (7 adults/5 children) and it was a spectacular time together with family. The children's room (accessed by a hidden entry behind a bookcase in the main hallway) was a big hit with the kids, and also provided a great play room for them which allowed the adults time on the main floor... The three sets of bunkbeds made for a great slumber party for the cousins, and the pools/wet bar at sunset were a big hit with the adults! Would definitely recommend this for folks looking to experience an amazingly luxurious tropical escape!

Jade House was the centre piece of one the best holidays our family has experienced. This is unequivocally a luxury villa where no expense has been spared and great care has been taken to ensure that the buildings and garden blend with the surrounding environment including the jungle and wildlife. The large open plan living area provides room for everyone while still keeping the group together. The in-pool/pool side bar is a great gathering point and the outdoor kitchen/BBQ area was kitted out to satisfy a BBQ aficionado. Each bedroom also has ample space and private outdoor areas for when one wants to escape. From moving between the swimming pools, playing billiards, observing the local wildlife or appreciating the view (checking the surf) one could easily spend a week experiencing Costa Rica almost without leaving home. That said, we were directed to some great local restaurants, it is a short walk down the hill to the local bar and there are multiple potential day trips... and great local surf. I found great lefts and rights at the local breaks and we were introduced to a wonderful local surf instructor (Jeanine of Dominical WaveRiders) who gave daily lessons to our children (10 and 12 yrs old) on a forgiving nearby beginners break. You should rent a 4wd to access more secluded areas nearby the house where there are some spectacular walks - on a wet day it also felt safer to be in a 4wd while climbing the steep ascent to the house. We can highly recommend Jade House and will be returning with our family.

My extended family and I were so excited when we booked this house and it was beyond our expectations. The home sits high enough up the mountain that on a clear day you can see forever and it gives you unmatched privacy. Get ready to see the jungle life up close and personal - we saw sloths, toucans, howler monkeys and many other beautiful birds. The home has a perfect layout offering a very large common area (kitchen/dining room/living room) that gets even larger when you open the floor to ceiling folding glass doors. Now the whole outside becomes part of your living room! The 3 pools made it perfect for the adults to have some space from the kids. My personal favorite part of the day was when we came together at the end of the day to enjoy cocktails at the bar area while hanging in the pool. This truly was heaven on earth for our whole group. The kitchen was very well equipped even though we went pretty simple on the cooking. Everyone said their beds were extremely comfortable with very nice linens. The other thing we really appreciated about the layout of the house is that most of the bedrooms have their own deck so by then end of the week when we were ready to have some alone time, it was easy to escape to each person's private area. We all were just so impressed with all the thought that went in to designing this home. The caretakers were so nice to work with but totally stayed out of your space and made you feel very comfortable. This part of the CR coast is very laid back and the towns nearby are pretty small but actually offer some good restaurants and food markets. There is a farmer's market nearby that offered a good selection of the local produce. But the hardest thing about sightseeing in this area is that it means you have to leave this beautiful, comfortable property so we just didn't do it that much! Of course we all hope to repeat this trip to this same house sometime in our future!

We stayed at Jade house with several friends recently. The whole experience provided us some great memories. The views are breathtaking - views of the sea and the surrounding jungle complete with amazing wildlife. The bedrooms are airy and have luxe ensuites. The master bedroom is flawless with its own pool. The main living room has high ceilings and floor to ceiling doors so when they are open it creates a seamless indoor/ outdoor feeling. The pools enjoy the amazing vista and provide plenty of space for the guests - both children and adult friendly! The outdoor living area includes a bar and pool table and seating area which make for a relaxing environment. We loved the location - striking distance to the beach and restaurants and bars. There are plenty of activities nearby and we indulged in both a breathtaking jungle trip and sailing along the coast. For those surfer enthusiasts there are some amazing beaches to suit all levels. Failing that kicking back and relaxing on the beach with a cocktail is pretty darn good too. The hospitality afforded at Jade house is second to none. We will return!

The jade house was awesome! We loved it. What a spectacular setting! It was a real relief not to have to cook or clean for 17 people! The house was in imaculate condition. The pool table felt was a little torn and the bumpers a little hard, but that is really a quible and was not a problem at all. Loved the Ipod docking stations, we listened to our music the whole time! I would reccomend you consider getting staff to cook for you, we got some good Costa Rican fare, and the price was reasonable. We did lunch on our own and the pots and pans and kichen utensils were all top notch.

This place is spectacular! It is the most perfect vacation home to stay at to get away from the daily hustle and bustle of life. Every morning I'd wake up to the sounds of nature, and make a breakfast in the large kitchen that opened up to the outdoors (pots, pans, plates, utensils, blender...anything you could possibly need for cooking and drinks were there!). We'd sit out on the yoga deck that overlooked the trees around enjoy our meal. The three pools are a major highlight: the lap pool was great for morning workouts, the swim-up bar with in-pool barstools was great for sunset cocktail hour drinks, and the private poor outside of the Master bedroom was perfect for a romantic place to end the night under the moonlight. In addition, there's a pool table, showers for two in main bedrooms, and all of the bedrooms are spaced out throughout the house, for added privacy from every bedroom. Overall, if you are looking to get away and live in paradise while on vacation...this is the place to stay!

A few months ago our small company decided to take our few employees and their family to Costa Rica. We found the Jade House online and quickly moved to reserve a week for the first part of December. We just returned from our fabulous stay that was even beyond our wildest imagination. We took Heather and her friend Kelly up on their offer to stock the house and also hired Vanessa, their in house chef. As we arrived we were taken aback at the detail and beauty of this home. Pictures truly do not do this property justice. It is state of the art. After admiring our accomadations for the week we sat down to a meal that was without a doubt the best meal we had while in Costa Rica. Vanessa was awesome. We turned the tunes on and relaxed the rest of the night by the 3 pools! The morning brought views of the Pacific that were to die for. Whether it was from our bedrooms, the deck, or the pool, the views were just fabulous. It took days to really appreciate the details in this house and quite frankly I am not sure we ever saw all of them. Our week stay was first rate with ATV, Zip line, and Manuel Antonio tours. Then a relaxing evening by the pool just topped each day off. But whether you want to be active or just veg out this home will not disappoint. I have nothing bad to say about this home, the hospitality, or our stay. A plus all around!

Wonderful place to travel with friends and families with older kids. I have small children and I would not want to bring my kids here. Too many stairs and sharp edges but amazing for adults. We stayed here for a week with 3 couples and 2 singles and it accommodated all of us perfectly. The house is clean and well stocked for cooking, cleaning, and simple activities. The outdoor bar and 3 pools kept us all very happy.

My boyfriend took me to the Jade House for the week of my 30th birthday . It was the most amazing vacation I have ever had in my life. The house and infinity pools are so luxurious and stunning. Nothing in Uvita is as spectacular as staying in this dream vacation home! What makes the Jade House so special are all the details, like the night swimming lights. I woke up to the beautiful sounds of birds and watched parrots and tucans while swimming and looking out at the ocean. It was paradise.
