No sound proofing, so you heard every single truck and car go by, even though we had the room on the opposite side of the road. The owner was great and very accommodating. Breakfast was also good. The hotel is for sale and you can tell it needs some work. If you are a hard sleeper you won't have too many issues otherwise bring ear plugs. Good for one night's stay.

Owners are delightful. Costa Rican setting is beautiful. Wonderful breakfast. Lovely restaurant on site. Good parking . Nice size rooms. Good beds.

the property is near the road and it is noisy but luckily during night the traffic is less.

Staff tried their best but the location and the repair and maintenance was beyond them.
Cockroaches, really loud traffic noise from the road all night. Away from town so hard to make it work without a car, with restaurant only open over the weekend.

The Location was convenient to get to the beach and the highway. The pool was located downhill of the hotel and provided a bit of privacy in a jungle enviornment.
The room was not equipped with any ice machines or a small refrigerator. This would have made a big difference in the overall stay. This hotel is next to the highway and you can constantly hear traffic at all hours and lots of truck engine brakes......

Near to beach, good facilities. The room was simple but well spaced out, the aircon was top-notch, towels and sheets replaced everyday and the hotel was clean. The pool was fantastic for a quick dip and float about, the water was perfectly cool and fresh with birds dipping in and out of the trees all day.

The location is very car dependent. The ac was very old and so loud we didn't manage to have it on, but it was luckily enough with only the fen on.

Excellent staff accompanied by fantastic animals especially Max the dog. Wonderful large room, inviting pool.
A great model of delivering what it says.
The only downside for some people would be the proximity to the main road. We had a room that overlooked the garden so any sound that others have commented on was minimal for us and not an issue.

It’s situated in a beautiful tropical garden with the most amazing plants.
The staff is super nice and helpful and they serve a good (Costarican) breakfast.
it’s close to a road which didnt bother us but if you are a light sleeper, it might bother your.

The room was big, bed comfortable and a "free" breakfast.
Walls were thin, you can hear the people upstairs and next door talking, watching TV, going to bathroom and the heavy traffic from the highway.
There is no private access to the beach.
Breakfast was nothing special, coffee was the worst.
Beware, they will add extra taxes and fees on top of the extra fees and taxes already applied....it's a double whammy

if the property had been off of the main road, I think it would’ve been much better. The grounds were actually pretty. But it was really busy and so much traffic. it was really not convenient to get anywhere if you didn’t have a car.
very inconveniently located. The walls were paperthin and you could hear the telephone ring of that people staying next-door. Their children weren’t even the problem. It’s just not a well-built place.

Perfect location for our trip. There was an amazing hike right from the hotel to the beach through the very lush forest with bridges over the streams. It opened to a secluded beach that was breathtaking. The breakfast was very good with all fresh food. Very nice people!
