I don’t have the words to describe how wonderful our stay at the sea house was. I mean the view from the patio is breathtaking ( or the spacious balcony). There was a big storm one night and the sound of the rain and thunder were beautiful. The house is only 15 to 30 minutes to the nearest beaches , we decided to go to El remanso that was about 25 minutes away. Going to San Juan del sur town it’s only like 5 or 10 minutes. Marina and Eddie were a great help. Marina is a wonderful chef and we were very spoiled with her cooking. Marina and Eddie were super kind. Swimming in the pool after a long day at the beach or before going to the beach is incredible. We like nature so we were so fascinated with the hummingbirds, tropical birds, butterflies and the sound of the howler monkeys at sunset. Obviously I highly recommend staying at this property.

We spent 9 nights at the Seahouse, and was the perfect spot for relaxation and introduction to Nicaragua. Rose was a great host from communicating all the information we needed, she left nothing out. Marina and Eddy were great and take good care of the house and then Petey will have you cuddling with him once you meet him. I would recommend the seahouse and return in a heartbeat. 5 stars!!

If you have found this property, you have obviously read the reviews… There is nothing else to be said or reiterated. The house is impeccable. The grounds are magnificent. The location is unbeatable. Everything from a kitchen any chef would be proud of to the furnishings, the comfy beds, the pool, the indoor/outdoor speakers built-in to the stereo - truly his paradise in San Juan Del Sur. Every interaction we had from the initial booking with the owner to the arrival and check-in with the property manager, to the staff on the property was five stars! We are already planning our return.

We loved everything about this spot. Lots of space, fully equipped - there wasn't anything we couldn't find. Petey the house pup was amazing ! - I feel like that's the new amenity we will look for when we search for homes. - he really stole our hearts since our pup recently passed. The view is gorgeous this really is the place you want to book when you come to San Juan Del Sur, far enough from the noise that you can enjoy the peace and quite but close enough you can join the party when you want. You will not be disappointed !

Our stay was wonderful. It is a good location, The Sea House is a beautiful place and view was amazing. Marina & Eddy are very friendly and take care of anything you need. I also recommend taking advantage of Marina's cooking services. She (and Eddy) are fantastic cooks.

Other reviews have said it, and it's totally true: the photos of this property can't capture its amazingness! I knew I'd found a great rental, but I was blown away when we arrived. The property outside and views are stunning, there is so much space and different areas/types of seating throughout the house and outdoors for whatever mood, the interior decor is on point, beds are super comfortable and nothing is worn or dated. Rose is a stellar host and not only does she provide an abundance of information before the rental, but she's very responsive to questions. The caretakers, Marina and Eddy, are lovely and so helpful and as two women staying at the house for a few nights, we loved knowing that Marina and Eddy were right next door, along with Petey the guard dog. I can't think of a single thing to suggest to improve this property!

To see house deserves its own constellation of stars as five stars doesn't even touch how great it was. The property itself will blow your mind, it's so beautiful. As for all the other reviews Eddie and Marina are top notch caretakers and it's true what they say about Marina's cooking. If you have a chance take advantage of it. And as for rose, the owner, she was absolutely the best to be in communication with. We love the place so much we're going back in the next two weeks. And last but not least, there's PT the resident dog who will capture your heart and you might cry too when you leave

We had an amazing stay. There isn’t much I can say about this property that other reviewers haven’t. But specific to our situation - we were comfortable here with baby/ 6 year olds through 70+ with arthritis. I chose this home because the reviews, photos and description made me confident we would be able to fully enjoy our vacation without worrying about anything. I have been visiting San Juan del Sur for 20 years and have stayed in multiple rentals and hotels there and elsewhere in Nicaragua (and have lived for years in Nicaragua), and I was confident Rose’s home would not present us with the problems or deficiencies I’ve experienced in other rentals (at similar nightly rates) that can make vacations just a bit less relaxing. I was not disappointed - the home is clean, the kitchen better equipped than my own kitchen (so fun to cook in their kitchen!), all appliances work, little things like salt, coffee filters, plenty of kitchen towels were present, the a/cs all work well, the bed linens and towels are good quality, water pressure is good, the pool is cleaned daily along with the house and patio, and the house caretakers are pleasant and helpful. The list could go on. You will not be disappointed!

The Sea House was AMAZING!! We were so at home with a warm welcome from Eddy,Melina and Jack the dog that we booked a longer stay than we had planned. Didn't want to leave,that's how good it was. Peaceful and quiet, but minutes from shopping and dining out. The house is immaculate. Supper comfy beds,fully equipped kitchen and breathtaking view. I also recommend Gaby Transporta if traveling from Costa Rica or anywhere else,we received outstanding personal service from his company. Alas..long journey from Alaska to Nicuraga but it is one I will book next year. the sea house is absolutely stunning! The pool is my favorite I could sit there for days and have not a care in the world. The options are endless on things to do whether it be boat rides, horse back riding on the beach, ziplinig the options are endless! Highly recommended!!

The Sea House is paradise! The house and grounds are immaculate with onsite staff to cook and clean allowing your vacation to be relaxing and enjoyable. Some of our best meals were prepared by the couple who live onsite for a very minimal fee. The view is spectacular both day and night - from the ocean and birds in the am to the sunset and the stars after dark. The area is gated and very safe and quiet but only a few minutes to town. Jack the guard dog is a special addition to this amazing home! We loved the Sea House and can’t wait until we have the opportunity to visit again. It’s a real gem!

Pictures are amazing but wait till you are actually there..From the minute we landed in Managua and had our travel from the airport to the house( by Gaby Transport Micheal was our driver) we were happy! Gaby Transport is reliable, safe and very responsibly priced to start off your vacation with no worries. Thank you to Ricardo and Micheal for our airport transportation and our tours. We arrived at The Sea House and were greeted by Marina, Eddy and "Jack". Smiles and warmth was all we got and exactly what we needed. The Sea House had everything we needed and so much more. We longed for nothing( except that we couldn't stay forever). Marina and Eddy are the icing on the cake when it comes to vacationing here. We made arrangements for Marina to cook breakfast for us each morning(very minimal cost for such a great way to start off our day). Marina and Eddy took care of maintaining the house, the pool, the beautiful landscaping with all the flowers and fruit trees, house keeping and always making sure all is good with us. If you are UNO players, include them, they had a blast playing with us. We rented a 6 seater side by side (mybeachrentals.com) which was perfect for all our venturing to town daily and beach jumping. It worked perfectly for the roads and climbing the hills. We felt completely safe and comfortable in the house as well as when we left. Myself and a couple of family members even decided to venture to and from town by walking. It was a great workout and wear running shoes. What didn't we do while we were here..eating at different restaurants(locals/Canadians/italians), visiting the Statue, shopping at locals stores, tattoos, sport fishing sunset tour(Sergio @ Extreme Nicaraguan Adventures) beach jumping, Sunday Funday, 4x4 venturing , Masaya Valcano, Catalina Market shopping, Granada, road side fruit stands, finding monkeys in the trees, massages (Gaby's Massage) and I am sure there was more. And there is Jack. I don't have enough room to talk about this great house dog who filled our lives with love and fun the entire time! Sorry we spoiled him for the next guests. The negatives of this house and the trip...hmm let me think. After our next trip to this house and this town, if I find anything I will get back to you!!!

As a family of 5 (two adults and three children ages 16,14,12) it can sometimes be a challenge to find the right spot. This home was perfect in every way. Not to close and not to far from town. Great layout. Views and ocean breezes fantastic. The best staff ever. Marina and Eddie were the icing on the cake. They take care of the grounds, the house, and are extra helpful. Marina's cooking is fantastic! We are sad to leave but happy to have had the opportunity to experience part of Nicaragua in SJDS in this wonderful home. For sure coming back!

This is the house one can only dream of at the end of a long day of travelling. It is beautiful! It is perched on a hill on the outskirts of San Juan Del Sur with an incredible view! It offered everything we needed. The walk into town is definitely doable, but would likely prove too steep and too dark for some. We always took the car - and free street parking was never an issue. The staff were kind, polite and attentive - and came in every day to clean (something which was unexpected and much appreciated). The wi-fi worked well. The kitchen was magnificent. Drinking water was provided (so no need to stock up on water on your way into town). We were not, however, provided with any basic condiments such as salt, pepper, sugar or hot sauce. Most newcomers to the area will not be aware that you have to drive to the beaches, which you will begin to find approximately 15 minutes to the north or south of San Juan Del Sur (I wouldn't recommend the beach in town). The beaches are spectacular! I would like to thank Rose for being so attentive to our needs. We had a perfect vacation. I plan to return with my extended family later this year.

The pictures don't do it justice. The house is beautiful. Very well cared for, every detail included. Marina and Eddy are fantastic and so accommodating. The views are stunning, the pool is incredible...I'd love to go back. I will say it's important to get a car! Rose was very helpful during the process and provided more than enough information and recommendations to keep us busy. Loved it!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Seahouse and cannot wait to return. Every detail has been thought of here and it is truly paradise. Cooking by Marina was delicious, views are spectacular and the pool was absolutely essential! Our kids enjoyed lounging in the hammocks and playing with Jack, the housedog. Our stay could not have been more perfect! We are so sad to be leaving!!

The Sea House is fantastic. I've used VRBO for many years and have stayed in some really special places (a houseboat in downtown Amsterdam, a villa sitting on a cliff near Puerto Vallarta, a jungle house in Costa Rica with a plexiglass shower on the fourth floor that was in the jungle canopy). But none of these places had it all. The Sea House is the perfect place. For starters the home is lovely. It's well appointed but very comfortable. It has a kitchen that any chef would be proud of and has everything that one would need to prepare a gourmet meal. However, if you don't want to cook, then Marina and Eddy would be happy to prepare a delicious Nicaraguan meal for you (for a mere $10 and the cost of ingredients). If you want peace and quiet, the Sea House is the perfect place. Sitting by the lovely pool with the ocean below you, all you hear is the wind through the trees, birds chirping and the occasional howl of monkeys. If you want to enjoy the hustle and bustle of San Juan del Sur, then the Sea House is the perfect place. In less than a two or three minute drive from the Sea House you're in the center of the great little town enjoying dinner, shopping or doing some people watching. One of the things that we loved most of all about the Sea House was it's convenient and easy access to beaches. Within an eight kilometer distance we were able to visit six beautiful but totally different beaches including some with calm bays that are perfect for the little ones and some that have some of the best surfing waves in the world (due to constant offshore winds). One other thing that makes Sea House the perfect place is our new puppy buddy Jack. He is a little clown who is one of the sweetest puppies I've ever been around. All-in-all the Sea House was the perfect place for us. There was plenty of room on the house grounds to be all alone if you chose to do so, and plenty of places for groups of people to gather and enjoy the fantastic views. The Sea House has it all. It's the perfect place. Hopefully, we can visit again (many times) in the near future.

Rose is a wonderful hostess. The home is incredible including a large great room, fantastic and fully stocked ideal for cooking/preparing anything kitchen (inside and outside (sink/BBQ and wood stove outside too)), ample seating indoors and outdoors (including an upstairs deck with bar and sink) pristine pool, 5-star views of the ocean, warm and friendly onsite staff that clean daily and cook as requested and do not intrude on your privacy. Each bedroom has its own ensuite. There is also a wonderful dog that comes with the house that is the most loveale security dog around. This place is exactly as descrived. It's as terrific as it looks as described. It's outstanding. Thank you Rose for letting our family stay in your magical paradise and for making sure our needs were always met. Ari

The Sea House is an absolute gem! As you arrive at the property, you are greeted by stunning and vibrant gardens with a view to kill! Let's not forget the resident pooch, Jack, whose exuberant energy and silliness is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. There's even a hammock station nestled amongst gorgeous trees and flowers, which conveniently has enough space to practice yoga...namaste. The outside property is flanked by tall sweeping palms and an abundance of flowers. The pool simply sparkles under the sun. In the evenings, you must sit on the patio on the edge of the property. You'll inhale the gorgeous scent of gardenia as you count shooting stars. The inside of the Sea House does not disappoint! With its open floor-plan and abundance of space, you may not want to ever leave. The kitchen is fully-stocked with everything you could possibly need if you're dining in frequently (although there are plenty of local establishments you should visit! I'll get to that later!) Take advantage of the indoor garden & fountain. It's a great spot to chill as you relax with a cocktail and listen to tunes on the sweet sound-system that circulates throughout the house. Do the same on the upstairs veranda outside the Master bedrooms. Speaking of bedrooms, I had the absolute best sleep in my life at the Sea House. The house is well-maintained and clean. The Caretakers kept us fed and happy, and catered to our every need. Excellent customer service is a key when traveling, and they did not disappoint. We packed a lot of fun in our short stay. Be sure to get to the beach! My favorite is Playa Hermosa! If you don't have a surfboard, you can rent one there. The beach goes on forever! Walk the shoreline at low-tide and you'll find sand-dollars every few feet. For a top-ten meal, visit Jicaro Garden. Bring your appetite! Order up a pitcher of sangria while you eat the best food in town. Save room for dessert. I highly recommend the beautiful Sea House for a short or long stay. I guarantee you'll love it!

Our 7 night stay at the Seahouse was wonderful. The property is perfect. Great Ocean view, perfectly maintained pool/property, floral landscaping that is unmatched, lovely interior decorations, and fast internet are but a few of the outstanding features that make Sea House such a delight. The owners obviously successfully strive for quality and comfort. It is like your own 5 Star hotel. Eddie and Marina are on-site caretakers.Their English is limited but non-Spanish speakers can get by. There is a local English speaker readily available, via telephone. Eddie and Marina are there when you need them but otherwise invisible. Having them available is an absolute plus. Marina is a excellent cook and can provide as many meals as you choose. They will do the grocery shopping for you. The website pictures are an accurate depiction of the excellent property. We did walk town 2 times. It is a hilly 20 minute trek. I recommend a car, which you can rent in San Juan del Sur (Dolar Rent a Car suggested). I have been to Nica times so I strongly recommend a shuttle from MGA to San Juan del Sur. Before we departed Sea House we were already checking our calendars to schedule a return.

We could not have been happier with our stay at the Sea House! The care takers were excellent and prepared tasty Nicaraguan meals for Breakfast and dinner upon request. The house was very clean and felt like home right from the beginning. The views of the ocean were spectacular especially when sitting in the pool with a cold beverage. At night the stars in the sky were incredible due to the lack of light pollution. Nicaragua is known to have great surf year round and we lucked out, the waves were consistently chest/head high with offshore winds the entire time. The town which was a 5 minute car ride hosted several restaurants and bars. Some of our favorites include Big Wave Dave's, Iguana, the Irish Pub and the Taco Street style. I would definitely recommend when you’re In the San Juan Del Sur area to stay at the Sea House. Thanks again for everything Danny and Rose we will definitely be returning in the near future to stay at your beautiful home in paradise.

The moment we arrived I knew we had made the right choice. The expansive view was just incredible! The home was immaculate. What a great an memorable time. So close to town. Gretel & Franklin were always there when you needed them, yet u didn't know they were there....Magic I guess.! Every need was met before u even knew u had a need. Really not much more to add to all the other reviews already posted, they all cover pretty much everything. We were a family of 5 with 3 kids aged 11-16, and the house was perfect for us. Also a great set-up for 2-3 couples or 2 families with kids (3rd bedroom can sleep up to 6). House has everything you need...good wifi, speakers wired throughout, full kitchen, fans in every room, A/C in every bedroom (very important!). Daily cleaning service and on-request cooking from the caretakers is awesome. We had full breakfast (bacon, eggs, fresh-squeezed juice) prepared for us every morning for $15! House sits up on a hill with a great view of the water, is secluded and totally quiet. But only a quick 5 minute drive into SJDS. We walked into town a couple of times (but would recommend a car back as it's more uphill going back). Pool is great. Awesome star-gazing at night. The owner (Rose) is extremely helpful, responsive and very knowledgeable about the area. She helped us secure transport from the airport and recommended a local car rental, as well as local restaurants and activities. HIGHLY recommend Playa Hermosa and the hike up to the view from the Statue of Christ, in particular. Watching the sunset at any bar along the beach in SJDS is an absolute MUST!! Some of the most stunning sunsets we've ever witnessed. If you're considering a destination a little more off-the-beaten path, then I would highly recommend Nicaragua. We've traveled the world extensively, and we're huge fans of Nica. It's very similar to Costa Rica 20-25 years ago. Beautiful scenery, totally safe, friendly people, CHEAP, great surfing, several really cool volcanoes to hike, great food...and easily the best rum I've ever had (Flor de Cana).

We enjoyed our stay very much and found ourselves in the private pool every chance we got. The owner has thought of everything you need including a lovely outdoor kitchen. Our last evening we fired up the grill and cooked very fresh fish purchased at the fish market. This home offers a good location--away from the traffic and noise of the town but a very short drive down to the action. We appreciated the quiet, the views, the privacy and the beauty of the home itself. This would be great for a group or a couple of families as well. There were 2 couples in our group and all of us felt like we had plenty of room and privacy. This is a beautiful property and a VRBO that has created lasting memories !

We stayed at the Sea House May 3-6-2017, pictures do not do this exquisite house and property any justice. I was stunned when we arrived. The personal touches to this property is unbelievable. The gardens are just beautiful. The pool area is surrounded by beautiful potted plants and flowers, palm trees, sitting chairs and lounge chairs. Colorful flowering bushes surround the home. The home is GRAND!! Solid cement and tile and beautiful wood. Heavy wood. The sound system is awesome. Outdoor speakers everywhere, Definitely a good party house. Marina and Eddy the caretakers live above the garage and are very nice and helpful. They are not in your way at all. Marina is a very good cook which we utilized. It is a steep hill to get up from the town of San Juan del Sur so make sure you have a good vehicle to get you up the hill. But once to the house you will see the most breathtaking view from the Sea House. Rose the owner and Denise the property mgr were a pleasure to work with. Very organized and tons of info for you while you are in SJDS. I would definitely rent this property again. You will not be disappointed. It is the most beautiful home I have ever been in.
