We like to stay west side for a couple nights while visiting family in Kihei. Honokeana Bay is lovely and we enjoyed watching the turtles, and the Honokeana Cove condos allow the best if not the only access to the bay. Snorkeling is calm Su was a great property manager. Check in and out were easy. He took good care of outside areas. Unit 204 was pretty clean and well supplied for us. Warning that if you have bad knees might be hard to go up stairs to loft bedroom. All units face the small pool.

The owners cannot lock the main closet and have only the small storage closet in the loft for guests. The kitchen utensils are almost useless. If it’s going to be rented as a condo with kitchen facilities, then the appliances and utensils must be workable! I would recommend would-be renters to really check each unit out here. Staff was wonderful though...very helpful.

The beds in the loft and downstairs were uncomfortable. Downstairs had a air conditioner that was not working. It would have been nice to have a small TV in the downstairs bedroom. Overall, a great vacation spot. Also, the Manager Su is one of the reasons we return. You don’t pay her enough for what she does and how she inter acts with each and every visitor. She is genuine, friendly and a wonderful kind hard working individual who’s interest is always visitors first. Thank you Su!

All units surround the bay so all have good views. The unit and grounds were clean and well maintained. The best was snorkelling with the turtles everyday in the cove just in front of the property. Some would often come up on shore in the afternoon for a rest. Very special. We would not hesitate to vacation here again.

Reviewer Comments: We stayed in a 1Bedroom+loft 2bathroom condo at Honokeana Cove and had a wonderful vacation on Maui! The cove itself was great for snorkeling with the sea turtles and tropical fish and floating with friends and family to stay cool. Since there was perfectly manicured grass instead of sand, the condos didn't get dirty after swimming. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and the grills were very convenient for family dinners! Our condo did have a portable air conditioner, which helped keep the bedroom cool during the mid-day heat. We had trouble connecting to wifi, but it was nice to disconnect on vacation. We hope to return soon.

Living room furniture in our unit uncomfortable and decor dated. One night there was a power outage. No emergency lighting on grounds (we were out and came back to darkness). Fortunately we had lights on our cell phones and flashlight in the condo as the emergency flashlight in the condo had no batteries. Feel this is a safety issue that management should be concerned about. On one occasion a stranger stood directly outside our condo talking on his phone. Drug deal? Casing the joint? We had had our door open for cross ventilation but closed it as he continued to talk. Later we learned that he was some sort of maintenance person. How were we to know? He had no identification that we could see and gave no identification. Very unnerving and a tad rude. And really, at the price one pays here, clean beach towels should be offered every three days. Yes I would recommend Honokeana to a friend and would stay here again but ONLY FOR THE SNORKELING.

Reviewer Comments: My husband and I needed to get away from the busy-ness of life and chose to return to Honokeana Cove after a very pleasant stay 2 years ago. The location is the best. The view from our condo was stunning and we loved sitting on the lanai just gazing at the incredible cove and ocean view. The grounds are so well-kept and it feels very private. Yet we are not far from more touristy areas such as Kaanapali and Lahaina. We took long walks along the road up to Kapalua. The condo was very comfortable and well-stocked. We slept very comfortably especially with the room air conditioner in the master bedroom. This unit doesn't get the afternoon sun so it stays cooler than some of the other units. All in all, we had a wonderful time and hope to return.
