Lodge Alley was in a great location and suited us perfect! Walked to the waterfront and downtown attractions. Public parking garage was nearby. Quick response from the owners.

This was a great home base for our visit to Charleston. The unit was well appointed, and we enjoyed having the private outside space. Just a note for light sleepers - there was a lot of movement of bins early in the morning and one evening there was a boisterous outdoor reception at the High Cotton. Wouldn't prevent us from returning.

This was the perfect location to tour historic Charleston sites and visit great restaurants without a car. It was relaxing and convenient to take a break during the heat of the day back at this lovely townhome. It has everyone you would need and then some. We agree with the previous 10/10 ratings!

Fantastic location - walk to everything - great restaurants within minutes and Harris-Teeter a few blocks down East Bay. Lovely outdoor patio, home very well-provisioned. Comfortable & cozy - beautiful interior decor. We would definitely stay here again! Sharon & Tom are great hosts and very helpful / responsive.

We brought two of our daughters on a college grad trip to Charleston and chose this French Market townhouse for our stay. It was the perfect location! We loved having two bathrooms to use and the little extras of make up wipes and bathroom necessities. It was so close to the city market and Bay Street. We would definitely choose this place again!

We loved everything about this property and especially enjoyed the private courtyard. The kitchen has everything one could want including high end appliances. Very comfortable furniture, beds and linens. Excellent location. Responsive host. It exceeded our expectations.

We have stayed in numerous short term properties over the years (this one several times) and this one is by far the cleanest, most well-equipped and beautifully appointed of them all. The owner has ensured that the guest feels warmly welcomed and is 100% invested in our experience in Charleston! Our experiences at this property have contributed to us falling in love with Charleston!!

I can’t say enough about this home! The location is in easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, sightseeing. It is beautifully furnished in a warm, southern way. Little extras were already there when we checked in so we didn’t have to run out for soap or tissues, etc. The bedrooms were luxurious and bathrooms were modern and spotless. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent this again on a future trip to Charleston.

As others have mentioned, it is located in an almost perfect spot. We used our car only one day to go a plantation, otherwise we walked to all other outings (restaurants, pubs, city market, museums, water front, shopping, etc. The house looks like the photos, no disappointments. It has one of the best stocked kitchens we’ve stayed in. We didn’t spend a lot of time at the house but enjoyed the patio area for morning coffee and evening wine. Checking in and out was great. We definitely would stay there again if we ever make it back to Charleston.

We had an incredible stay at this VRBO! The location can’t be beat - we were just minutes away from amazing food and fantastic activities. The home was a great space to cool off and relax without feeling crowded. The beds were very comfortable! We would absolutely stay here again!!

Our family has stayed at the Belmond several years in a row and we took a chance to stay at Lodge Alley. We were a bit concerned at first, but Lodge Alley delivered. The location was amazing, in fact, it was better than Belmond. Sharon & Tom are quick to respond, the property has everything you need and again, it's so close to all of the places you'll want to see in Charleston. Sharon & Tom, thank you for allowing us to stay and enjoy your slice of heaven.

This was a such a beautiful clean relaxing environment to spend our "down time" in, over our 5 day stay in Charleston. We were a group of 4 (2 couples) and parked our cars once unloaded, never needed them the rest of our stay. We walked everywhere, did tours, enjoyed the restaurants, shopped and took in the wonderful Charleston Vibe. We were thrilled with the location and comfort of this wonderful VRBO property. During our "down time" we played games and visited with our dear friends. This property far exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommend!

This property was better than expected. The location is close to everything. Multiple parking options nearby. Beautiful courtyard for happy hour. Very clean and beautifully decorated. We didn’t cook much but the kitchen looked well-stocked. Everything about it was great.

We enjoyed our stay and found it right in the heat of the French Quarter just off E. Bay Street. It faced a local Courtyard and made it a private oasis. The property is comfortable and had everything we needed!

Beautiful townhouse on a big courtyard near great restaurants and shopping. We walked everywhere we wanted to go and enjoyed the warm and welcoming spacious townhouse to come back to. Everything about our stay was perfect. This was our first visit to Charleston and the property’s location was perfect and the townhome just stunning…impeccably furnished, clean and comfortable in all respects. The parking garage a block away worked great for us as we only took our car out once during our three-night stay. The owner’s restaurant suggestions confirmed others we’d received. I recommend this listing without reservation! Thank you!
