Wonderful. Wanted to give you any thing we found that you might want to address. • Gas fireplace in the living room off kitchen couldn’t start. Said key wouldn’t turn. • The gas tower heater out kitchen door could not get started. • When I tried to open door from “Toy Room” to front of house, the handle came off in my hand. • Didn’t realize until I re-read the instructions about broken items. We lost 2 champagne flutes in dishwasher – stem broke. Didn’t “save them” per your book instructions. • Door to Toy Room was wide open when we arrived. Already told you that on phone. • Though we were able to use garage for cars? Tried to open large door – ceiling motor ran but door did not rise – chain drive disconnected from door? • All signed waivers and put under mat in front as instructed for pickup next morning. Still there at checkout. Jim

Went to Colorado Springs for our son's wedding; we had family and friends stay with us. Two of the nights there were 14 people at the house. Susanne Hoffman, owner, is wonderful; even met her son Ben who was also wonderful. There are 8+ rooms with beds. House is fully stocked with everything you could require, other than food, of course. Very clean home. Very welcoming, we all felt so comfortable there. On the property (5 acres) there is a zip line for the kids, trampoline, playset, the hot tub/infinity pool. Beautiful experience,, we highly recomment this home.

We had a wonderful stay at the farmhouse! We had a small company retreat and there were enough rooms for our team - each very comfortable. Beyond being a stunning home, there is so much to do, from the hot tub. pool table to the gorgeous outdoor space. It would be perfect for a large family gathering - I am noting that for future as there are lots of amenities for children.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here , just a few things that could be better (cleanliness of kitchen, wifi) but very spacious home with a lot of thing to do around the home !

The location was absolutely beautiful! The owners were extremely helpful and on-site a lot! They made sure that things were cleaned. The only problem was the spa jacuzzi it wasn’t working properly and wasn’t usable. We reported to owners and they tried to attend to it but I think maintenance was needed. Other than that there were no other issues. We were able to zip line on the property! We had a blast! Some cooking supplies were provided for us. Wonderful stay!

We just completed a week stay over Christmas break at this wonderful home in Black Forest. The house is as seen in the pictures and very nice. It is a renovated early 1900's Farmhouse so it has both modern and vintage elements - which made for a nice and cozy stay. We had snow and they had sleds and stuff so we could enjoy the back hill. There's so much to do that we couldn't use all the amenities in the time we were there but our family loved the zipline, outdoor activities, Jacuzzi (yes we ALL fit too) and ample room to play games or just relax. The greatest thing is that this is truly a house that can handle big families. We thought it might be tight like other VRBO's that say they can sleep lots of people but we actually had bedrooms we didn't use - and that's with 9 adults and 5 children! Christmas there was both wonderful and magical. Our family loved every bit of it. We were there with the crazy -15 arctic weather - which can sometimes cause problems in a home but the owners jumped all over things to make sure everything went well and took care of everything we needed and very fast! So - nice house, very attentive and kind owners, and great location only 10 minutes outside Colorado Springs yet feels like a world away! I would highly recommend this home to those with large families, those that like peace and quiet, those that love nature - deer everywhere, those that want to get outside to do things and those that want lots of house space so you can find your own quiet area as well. It was a great vacation :)

This was a perfect stay! It fit 13 of us girlfriends perfectly!! The house and grounds were beautiful and well stocked. Location is close to lots of shopping and restaurants. The hosts were super communicative and helpful. 10/10 stay. Would highly recommend!

The home is absolutely amazing and the black forest are of north colorado springs is so beautiful. the owners are terrific. We had family emergency and they they let us rebook the trip for a few months later at no cost

Such a great place for our four families with children to spread out. All the amenities made it extra special. The backyard was amazing for the kids. The hosts were wonderful as well. Loved it!!

We had a group of 13 ppl ranging from 4 years old up to grandparents! Everyone had the best time we’ve ever had! Family friendly and gorgeous home!

The property location was centrailized to activities we'd planned. Whitewater rafting, attending a Colorado Rockies game, visiting Pikes Peak, visiting relatives in Denver. The property has many outdoors and indoors activities that kept the grandkids, ages 6-20, entertained and happy! The property is well maintained and any concerns were promptly addressed by the owners, who we got to meet. So many happy memories were made.

This was a wonderful and fun house and beautiful property for our annual family vacation. The bedroom/bathroom arrangement was the best we've ever had. We used all 8 bedrooms, plus there was still a twin/trundle in the playroom and a sleeping loft upstairs that weren't used. The house was just as it was described on the VRBO listing, very spacious and beautiful. Of course, the zipline, trampoline, and spa were a big hit with every age. The main floor kitchen/pantry was extremely well-stocked, and there were plenty of towels available throughout the entire house. Susanne, the owner, was available and responsive to any questions we had.

My family of adult children, with children of their own, have not taken a family vacation together since 2011. This year we chose the Colorado Farmhouse as our getaway accommodations. The home and furnishings were perfectly lovely. The house provided us with more than enough private space that we never felt like we were on top of each other. However, it also had plenty of public areas for us to sit around and share meals, have evening drinks around the fire pit, and on the most basic level enjoy each other’s company. The kids loved all the outdoor activities that the grounds provided, by far their favorite thing to do was the zipline. This house made the perfect backdrop for our family vacation and is undoubtedly a fixture in some of the memories made while exploring Colorado with my grandchildren.

The house was great! Checking out process was a little confusing, and we kept getting accused of smoking inside. There were not enough face towels, but everything else in house was stocked.

We had our wedding here (ceremony and reception) and it was absolutely perfect! I loved that our family had a place to stay for the weekend and that everything was in one place. Having the tables, chairs, linens, plates and glasses on site was a huge perk too. Susanne's assistant was VERY helpful the day of. The house is gorgeous and so are the grounds. I am so happy we found this place for our wedding. It was truly a magical weekend. I'd love to come back with our family again!

Our family had a wonderful stay. We enjoyed the spacious room to spread out in with six families. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to make meals. We spent many hours on the trampoline, zip line and outdoor volleyball court as a family.We also enjoyed sitting around the campfire in the evening after we had ventured out to some of the tourist spots in the area.

Spacious, nicely decorated, excellent kitchen. Kids enjoyed the spa, zip line and trampoline. Owner was very attentive to our needs.

We loved every thing about the house and property......the Zip line was a big hit with the kids and the spa tub was also a big hit with all our age group. There were plenty of options for sleeping arrangements and the spacious kitchen was great for our group of 19....

Visited for my husband’s birthday weekend! Room galore for our large group to social distance. His favorite is the outdoor spaces. Lots of fireplaces for the perfect ambiance. Needs a deep cleaning and on our last day, there was a minor hiccup, however Suzanne came right over to rectify it. Despite that, highly recommended!

House and compound offer many great activities for kids and family. Lots of room for large gatherings. Access to hiking and biking is great. Yard offers good privacy and frequent wildlife visits. The Black Forest is a perfect location to host any event! Plenty of space to entertain inside and out. We hosted a rehearsal dinner for 50 people on the backyard patio. Also, The Black Forest has beautiful table and chairs available for you to rent. A perfectly easy way to make sure all your guests are comfortable. Our guests enjoyed all the activities available, trampoline, fire pits, and zip line. All bedrooms were filled and everyone had a great night of sleep on the very comfortable beds.

We enjoyed our week here with a large family! Plenty of space for everyone and fun surprises like the zipline. We also enjoyed the neighborhood trails! However, not everything was kept up to par with regard to repairs and kitchen appliances for a crowd (no large griddle, crockpots, only 1 coffee pot worked, only 1 fridge was available for guest use upstairs and 2 total, instead of the 3 listed, etc.). We were apparently staying after another party that was very rough on the house. The first several days were spent resolving issues such as a broken bed and microwave, malfunctioning doors, locks, and faucets. The owners and property manager were very quick to replace and take care of what we needed, just wish the maintenance hadn't had to happen while we were guests. Definitely detracted from our stay!

Susanne was a great hostess and answered all of our questions as we were planning a last-minute wedding due to COVID. She was incredibly helpful and kind throughout.

This beautifully appointed home is comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. So many things to do for every age group and interest. The kitchen is perfect, bedrooms comfortable and elegant. Kids are king here! Outdoor and indoor spaces are creative and thoughtfully planned. We used Chef Chris Bierbaum at Susanne's recommendation and he was awesome to help us enjoy our family time together. We will return.

This home was perfect for our big group of people! We are from AZ and met some of our family from IA at this amazing home and it was beyond perfect! The yard was amazing for all the kids to play and the home was absolutely stunning. Thank you Susanne for letting us share your amazing home! Can’t wait for next time!!
