Perfect place for two visiting Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.

This property is clean, well-stocked, and so cute. We had a great trip and were so comfortable. Next time we visit Estes Park, we are definitely staying here.

We love staying in this spotless, darling, convenient cottage year after year! Great location! Quiet neighborhood! Excellent views! Just absolutely perfect!

This was the cleanest, coziest, most well equipped place we have ever stayed. It was the perfect homebase for exploring Rocky Mountain national Park and the entire area. The owners have literally thought of everything one might need for a comfortable stay. The original charm of the cabin is enhanced by all the modern updates. Truly a wonderful place – we will definitely stay again!

The cottage was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Nancy (the manager) is a good communicator and proactively enabled us to check-in a few hours early. The cottage has lots of extras that make it enjoyable - and you can see Long's Peak from the kitchen window! We really enjoyed our stay!

It was perfect. Location- great, bed comfy, outside space, - even a bench to look at the mountains. The owner thought of all the amenities one could want. Ideally located to RMNP

We had a wonderful time in Estes Park and The Black Bear Cottage. The mule deer greeted us on our drive in as they were munching on the bushes. The following day I had a buck 10 feet behind me on the deck enjoying a snack. The day after that we watched a family of elk eating in the neighboring yard. The house has what you need and is clean and inviting. The drive to Rocky Mountain National Park is easy and direct. We drove downtown and decided it was just as easy to walk and avoid looking for parking. This was our first trip to Colorado and we enjoyed it. There were LOTS of people downtown and in the park (Labor Day Weekend), but we tried to avoid the crowds by going to town for dinner early and getting to the park before 8am. There are so many things to do! We loved the Mountain Roller Coaster and the hike off Bear Lake Rd in the park- it was an intense 7 miles, but beautiful.

We loved our stay here! The pictures on the listing do not even do the inside of the condo justice. It truly is so rustic and cute. We loved how it felt tucked away from downtown Estes Park without being far away. The cottage is tucked back off a private drive with a steep drive, so beware if your car is close to the ground. On our initial arrival, we weren’t sure if we were on the right drive. It is also close to Rocky Mountain National Park. We will be recommending this listing to family and friends and will definitely stay again if we come back to Estes Park!

Cabin was well stucked

Very cute, excellently remodeled bungalow. Everything redone in early 20th century style forest cabin. Authentic, but very usable, with all the modern stuff (but well-integrated into rustic design). Good floorplan, with plenty of storage, main living area is spacious, extra sitting area. Quiet neighborhood, above the "downtown" hub-bub, but within walking distance. Smell of pine, wind in the branches. Elk, deer wandering through the yard. Can't say enough good things.

Everything you need and no fuss. Check-in was super simple, communication and friendliness from hosts was great, and close to everything. No long list of checkout requirements or overly complicated directions. Straightforward and welcoming. Well-stocked home and good house manual. Thanks for the stay!

The cottage was so cute and clean! The hosts were awesome and they added so many special little touches! Kiddos to them! So close to the Rocky Mountain National park and Estes park! We loved it!

The home is very nice to return to after a busy day at Rocky Mountain National Park. It is bright and clean and comfortable.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in black bear cabin. The location was great, only 4 miles from Rockies entrance and within walking distance of the adorable town of Estes Park. We saw Elk within a few yards of the cabin! All the special touches to the cabin were such a blessing too. Very clean, cozy and welcoming after a long day hiking. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area!

I absolutely loved staying here. Nancy, one of the owners, was wonderful. The cabin was so clean and cozy, and had everything I could possibly need or want. A short walk to all things downtown Estes and a short drive to anything outside of downtown. Highly recommend and would totally stay here again!!!

Great cabin, everything you ever wanted and more at this location

I rented this property for two nights for my wife’s 62nd birthday and we had an amazing weekend in Estes park. The property was clean, warm and cozy. We have nothing but great things to say about it. Hopefully we can rent again in the future. Thank you Nancy for your hospitality!

We loved our stay at Calypso 1-1102!! This is a great location centrally located and right on the beach! Our host was always prompt with answers to any questions and the condo was well equipped with everything we needed. I know we will definitely stay here again.

There is a reason that Black Bear Cottage has all those 5-star ratings!! Everything about the property and the owners deserve them. First - everything is immaculate, and I'm very particular. We've stayed in many VRBOs, and this is by far the cleanest ever. The cottage itself is so cozy. The cabin itself is updated, yet still maintains character. The decor is suited to a cabin but so tastefully and thoughtfully and comfortably done. And Nancy has thought of everything you could possibly need - extra towels, extra blankets, all kitchen utensils, shampoo, games, books, information about the area, etc., etc., etc. The location is perfect - close to Estes Park (within walking distance if you wanted) but yet not "stuck" in the middle of town. And a very short drive to Rocky Mountain. Nancy is a delight to work with, and very thoughtful and generous. We have stayed here 5 - or maybe more - times, because it is such a gem! If you're thinking of a stay in this area - do not hesitate to book Black Bear. You absolutely will not be disappointed!

The cabin was delightful, with mountain cabin charm but all the amenities we needed!

We return every year to this darling, spotless, comfy cabin for two. Excellent location. Easy to get everywhere from there. Cabin has most everything you will need. Hosts are friendly and available if needed. We plan to return again next year!

Stayed in a lot of VRBOS -this was the cleanest and most organized I’ve ever been at -the host was excellent with all communication.
