We had an epic wedding weekend at this venue. Davis was very welcoming, & the house was perfect for our needs. A special bonus was David allowed us to host a wedding breakfast at the venue. He has a beautiful back yard conductive to large parties. Adequate parking. All in all it was a perfect place for a family gathering!

We had plenty of room for everyone to have personal space. Plenty of bathroom/showers and hot water The Kitchen was a delight, stocked with staples and equipped with all sorts of cooking gadgets and utensils. The property was on the road to the bike trails which was convenient and close to downtown, Hood River and Crag Rat Hut, our wedding venue. Priced Right. Couldn't have asked for a better time!

We had a wonderful time. It was peaceful and easy. Walked to the winery next door and enjoyed the scenery. House was clean and comfortable. Loved the backyard!! David is great!

David was very communicative and flexible. The house was a great space for our friends to hang out. Very clean and comfortable with all the amenities needed. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful property in a wonderful place.

This house was perfect for my family to stay in while we were in town for a wedding. It is a perfect place for a family of adults. The furniture was super comfy and the layout is great. There is wonderful outdoor space to sit and relax with a glass of wine.

We were met at the door by David. He was working his tail off to complete some finishing touches to the residence. The inside was immaculate and had all of the things you need to support multiple people.He provided great customer service support for getting us familiar with the various spaces of the house,and surrounding properties. The area was wonderfully relaxing, and had plenty of space for the family to celebrate our daughters graduation from Pacific University. I would highly recommend it as a place to relax, rest, and then to explore the local area.

The house was beautiful and clean, with everything we needed for our stay. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space. The kitchen was really well stocked with everything we needed. The yard and the view of Mount Adams are gorgeous. We loved our stay!

our group stayed here for a bachelorette weekend. It was a great house with a lot of space. The great room and patio space was great for games and entertaining. The host is very kind and offered tips for local restaurants and vineyards. The only complaint is the hot tub was a little dirty. It’s also inside in the master bathroom which was a little odd. Overall, the house was great for a large group.

A group of five of us had a great time staying at this rental. The house was very spacious, well stocked with appliances, kitchen cookware, etc and just a pleasant space to hang out. The location of David's place is excellent, right next to a winery and not too far from downtown. It is spacious and provides easy access to all that Hood River has to offer. This is our second time staying there and will definitely stay again!

Property is coveniently located to MTB trails, vineyards, and downtown Mt. Hood! Plenty of bedrooms, great views of Mt. Adams, and all amenities you need, and lot's of space. Few minor nuances and I'm not one to nitpick, but none that would stop us from staying here again.

We had a great time staying at this property. A girls weekend that was definitely needed. The home itself was very adequate with 3 bedrooms on the main floor. Beautiful interior with plenty of sitting for all. The only negative that I could think of would be that the property is in a gorgeous area with a vineyard but the landscaping could use some attention. Looking around, there is so much needed and I am sure that its hard to keep up with the trimming, flower beds, yard, etc but would definitely make it an eye stopper. David was wonderful to work with. Thank you so much for allowing us to use your property.

Vineyard View was the perfect place for our Family Reunion. The great house with 4 bathrooms, a large gourmet kitchen, huge dining table and a nice backyard were the perfect places to host the family members who came from across the county. We particularly enjoyed the yard, which had ample space for children to play but was bordered on all sides for safety and privacy. We also used the Barbecue and Patio Space for every evening meal. It was great! David Peterson was attentive to our needs and questions. He was a great host!

We are 2 families from greater Portland that visited Hood River during spring break (parents and teens in group). We normally head to the coast. During this Pandemic we've supported more locally-owned businesses and found this listing to be great. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. There are TVs in every bedroom, with a large one in the living room for times we all watched a show together. The grill out back is under cover. There's an awesome fire pit in the back! We walked in the vineyard. We were able to cook all of our meals in the large kitchen and there are 2 dining tables which we found helpful. The kitchen has plenty of pots n pans. This is in a beautiful and scenic area that is quiet, yet in Hood River so you can take in hikes at Indian creek with Dutch Bros in hand, as well as many other hikes and mountain biking in the area. We did several hikes. David is a gracious host and glad to help provide any info about the area you might need. We'd love to stay again if there's an opening when we come to Hood River again. Highly recommend this listing!

Beautiful house great views!!

This was an amazing property in a perfectly beautiful location. We couldn’t have dreamed of a better stay- so perfect! House had everything we needed and David was awesome in helping us. Hope to someday return!

We appreciated this property's location and beautiful setting. We had booked the property before the review that was written last September. I was concerned and contacted the owner a few months ago to make sure that issues that were brought up were resolved. And, for the most part, they were. My main concern was the cleanliness of the kitchen. A professional cleaning is needed and details like the microwave and sharp knives were just not taken care of. The deck area is really spectacular, but furniture and umbrella needed to be cleaned, as well. The owners are super friendly and we appreciated the recommendations that they gave us for local restaurants and area attractions. With a little bit closer attention to detail, this property could really be spectacular!

Eight long time girlfriends rented Vineyard View for three nights. We have rented a different house for our get-away for nine years and I must say these accommodations were disappointing. On the positive side, it was a nice location; a beautiful setting with a large yard. There was lots of seating in TV area and a nice big dining area and table. The main floor bedrooms were clean and nice though I was a bit surprised at the flannel sheets in August. There was plenty of hot water for all of us to shower. The owner was friendly (sometimes too) and helpful when needed. On the negative side, the condition of the kitchen left much to be desired. Too mention a few things, there was food left in fridge and freezer. The bottom of freezer was disgusting (I would attach a photo if I could). The range hood was greasy and the cupboard doors were sticky. In the bathroom there were partially used hotel samples in a basket We had to ask for soap. The towels and washcloths were mismatched and well used. There was a mildew odor in the hot tub area making using it very undesirable. The lawn furniture cushions were very dirty. There was no notebook or anything similar with guidelines or information about operating equipment. The owner and his family were on site in an apartment upstairs. He popped in uninvited and unannounced. He was getting things out of the hall closet right outside three of the bedrooms. NOT ACCEPTABLE as far as I am concerned. One time he asked if he could come in to get something out of the kitchen. He also popped in when we were packing up. One day someone came to the door looking for the family. The owners entertained guests and used the BBQ in the back yard while we were sitting in the patio area. We rented the whole house for three nights. For the price we paid we should not have had to share it with anyone or be concerned that someone might come in nor should we have had to clean the kitchen before we could use it.

The house was beautiful and clean. It worked perfect for a large party. I did not like that the family was on the property as we had people randomly pop in the morning looking for the owners. They also came in while we were out for the night and used the oven and dishwasher. It was just weird. I did not know that would be happening. The owner was very nice and accommodating but I didn't really feel like we had the property or house we rented for the weekend to ourselves.

Great lodgings with excellent ownership

We took two long hikes in the Gorge while we stayed here, one of them, the gruelling Mt. Defiance, and we were very thankful to have such a spacious and comfortable place to come home to. The hot tub was particularly nice, given the situation. And the large sofa in front of the gas fireplace was the perfect spot to sit back with a glass of wine and reminisce about our day.
