Tamara Farwig and her husband were wonderful. I can't way enough about our stay. We stayed for 7 days and wish it was more The home was more beautiful in person. BTW there is a mango tree in the front yard and a lime bush for your mojitos! The hosts replied to any question immediately. They had all you needed for a great stay including sun screen! The neighborhood is very quiet and close to everything. If you are looking for a great stay in Maui THIS is it! Loved loved loved our stay an would stay again. There is a review about a centipede bite and sorry that happened to that guest --that had me worried but didn't see any bugs other than a harmless gecko and butterflies. No ants --but remember you are on an island and must not leave food out. The air conditioned takes a few minutes to cool the home and I am subject to hot flashes and sleep like a baby in the perfect temperature. The pool is perfect temperature and very private. the owners have games. puzzles, and left a basked of snacks. my only complaint is there is no full length mirror and I was getting ready for my wedding and that would be helpful and also the grill needs a cleaning. Those are tiny changes---it was a dream come true! get a mirror at walmart!

Our family loved this house. It was so spacious, the yard and the pool were a hit to sit and chat while the kids enjoyed the pool to refresh after long days at the beach. We used all the gadgets, beach towels, chairs, beach umbrella, toys- the foosball table was a hit, with tournaments day and night!
The kitchen was fully stacked, we used it every day. The open kitchen and living room layout allowed all 7 of us to gather around the island and hang out. Walking to the beach with our family was easy—a prime location with shops and restaurants nearby. We will return and highly recommend it!

This is one of those special properties that makes the trip easy and memorable for all. We loved the pool, especially when the sun was out the kids wanted to be there all the time. Great kitchen, yard is fun to explore for little ones (mango tree, lots of lizards), and foosball in the garage a great added touch. Tamara was a great host and allowed us to check in early afternoon since our flight was early. Overall incredible experience and we hope to return very soon!

We loved it here! Stayed with our 9yo and 2yo and grandparents and this worked well for us all. The pool was warmer than we expected being unheated and the kids were obsessed. Location was absolutely perfect t and easy for beaching and eating and visiting shops. Beds were comfy, we had everything we needed. Will hope to stay again!

Six of us stayed one week, including a two year old and five year old. The outdoor shower was used every day when returning from the beach by everyone. The pool was just wonderful. The pool water is chilly in January but we loved it and swam every afternoon. We appreciated the pack-n-play, flotation devices for kids, and beach toys. We would definitely stay here again. We do not want to leave.

We loved staying here! We found the house to be clean and well-stocked. The yard was especially amazing with lots of space to lounge and eat. The location was fantastic and only a short walk or drive away to great beaches. Steve was extremely easy to get in touch with and gave very clear instructions on how to check in. We would be happy to stay here again.

We stayed in Cloud 9 Beach House for our first visit to Maui. The house was perfect for our family traveling with a two year old. The pool and close proximity to the beach were perfect. The beds were comfortable too. Great outdoor space to sit for sunrise and sunset.

We loved the pool and spent a lot of time in it. Great view of ocean from yard. Enjoyed using outdoor furniture!! There were many pool and beach toys plus beach towels to use. Comfortable setting for a family and we would book it again.

We had a great time. It was 5 of us. Plenty of room. The pool was cold, we only got in twice during our 11 day stay. But over all it was wonderful. Would definitely recommend for future stays.

Seriously cannot rave about the house enough. We felt right at home. From the moment we walked in we knew we hit the jackpot. Perfect location and with a family of 5 and teenagers everyone had their own space which is a must. The amenities really made the difference. Coolers, beach chairs/ umbrellas, goggles . Just the works. We felt right at home after returning from our day. The pool is absolutely awesome and we loved lounging around in the chairs. The front was so peaceful in the mornings the drink coffee and listen to the birds. Beds are so comfy, fully stocked kitchen. This house really had everything and the host was great! Highly recommend booking this house. We will be back for sure

Couldn't have chosen a better property.
Location is perfect, not too close in to the village for privacy but not too far away that it is a hassle to get there.
Short walk down the hill to a very nice beach with public access and parking. We never had an issue going to the beach or finding a place to park which was nice because there were a lot of people around.
The pool is great for unwinding and cooling off after a hot day of sun and it is deeper than you think!
The beds were comfortable, bathrooms were nice.
Plenty of places to hang out outside both front and back.
Just a great house!!!
The house is also situated very closely to the resorts so if you want upscale shopping, you are literally 1 mile away.
Overall, I highly recommend this for a vacation rental!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at Cloud 9 Guest House. The house was so well equipped with everything that we could possibly need that it really gave us all the comforts of home. As a group of 6 adults (3 couples) the amount of outdoor living space really gave us enough room for everyone to have their space either collectively or separately and we enjoyed being able to return after our days and gather in the backyard or kitchen. We also enjoyed the location of the property immensely, it made for some beautiful morning walks and a quick drive to anywhere else. I highly recommend this property for your next vacation! Thanks again for having us!

We're long time VRBO customers and homeowners. This place checked all the boxes! Great quiet location in sunny (and warm) Kihei. Super clean and well stocked, including an Xbox one X (my sons were impressed) and a refreshing pool. Recent renovations made property shine. Didn't want to leave honestly, but life calls. Shout out to Steve as a host, quick to respond to questions we had. Will definitely return!

Perfect home base
My family and mother-in-law (6 people) were here for a week. Tons of room inside and even more outside. A 2 minute drive to the parking lot of a fantastic beach.
Most days we would come home and relax in the afternoon. The kids loved the pool and there was almost always someone in the hammock.
The house was extremely well appointed and had loads of beach gear. We especially appreciated the beach chairs and the boogie boards. An added bonus was the mango tree which gave us fresh fruit every day.
My wife and I agreed that if we ever come back to Maui we will be staying here again.

The house was perfect for our family of 6. Kitchen was modern and well stocked with all the items we needed to grill most nights. By far though the best thing about the house was the yard and outside area (it was like a tropical oasis). We would sit by the pool to eat dinner and discuss our adventures for the day on the hammock/chair area in the morning. It really couldn't have been any better.

Cloud 9 was an excellent location for our Maui holiday. We walked to the beach every day with the provided beach chairs, umbrellas and sand gear and spend every afternoon in the pool using the provided pool toys. In the evenings we cooked dinner on the great BBQ and ate on the outdoor patio, then watched the stars.
The hosts were very responsive, the property was in great shape and quite clean, and the entire experience was excellent!

The home was spotless upon our arrival and was exactly as described and pictured. The beds were so comfortable, that we all enjoyed a perfect night's sleep each night. While we went on excursions and to the beach most days, we spent plenty of time enjoying the property in the afternoons. We would lay by the pool or in the hammock to read a book and doze off to the sounds of Maui. Morning coffee and evening drinks were often enjoyed on the front patio under the shade of the mango tree. A beautiful beach, with plenty of parking, was only minutes away. You can walk, but we found it easier to drive with all of our gear. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and we used the outdoor grill multiple times. We were close to multiple grocery stores and shopping areas. Steve recommended Paia Fish Market for dine-in or takeout and it was delicious! We all felt very at home and safe during our stay. Thank you Steve and Tamara for sharing Cloud 9 with our family. We hope to return to Maui and would stay at this home again in a heartbeat!

The owner, Steve, said the only thing he was willing to do was spray the house. We left with a week remaining & paid for alternative accommodations ourselves. He did send us a restaurant gift card for our inconvenience, which was nice, but not sufficient.
The house was nice with TV’s in every room. However, the pool wasn’t usable because it was too cold, sprinklers turned on at 5 p.m, making it difficult to use the yard & towels were old & stained.
Lesson learned when renting is to ask owners how often they spray for insects. It’s important that this is done regularly.

You could walk, but it is easier to drive with all the beach gear that is provided and the hill that you would have to climb up after a day at the beach would be exhausting. The backyard is a great oasis after a morning at the beach. Plenty of restaurants and things to do are within a short drive to the house.
We did make a trip to Mama’s Fish House, drove the Road to Hana and did a sunrise/zip line tour to Haleakala and it was an easy drive to get to all of those excursions. It was about a 20 minute drive from the airport. We had an age range of 9-75 and everyone loved this house.

Great place and nice location! Both the indoor and outdoor spaces were comfortable and relaxing places to hang out. The hammock in the entry area was constantly in use and we loved taking dips in the pool. We did most of our own cooking and the kitchen is pretty well set up for that. This was a great place for our little family gathering.
