Overall, it was a good experience. We were not aware that there are permanent renters living on the bottom floor of the property. We had to be quiet and not let the kids run around. If we had been aware of this, we would have picked a different rental.

5 spacious bedrooms, large family room, well stocked kitchen with a sun room met our needs perfectly. Communication with the landlord was great.

This place was great for our group as we came into Vancouver for a wedding. The location was great with the near by stores within walking distances.

The property was just as shown in the pictures. Very clean, functional and had everything a large family or group would need. We we’re easily able to cook and eat meals at the house. The beds were super comfortable and very tastefully decorated. Really a beautiful home!

Property was very nice inside. Outside is not very inviting, however, we knew there was going to be no to little outside living space. We had issues with the tv, which had to be resolved by the owner. Something to do with cable box. Had no access to bbq which is a let down when staying with 7 people for a week. Property was decently maintained but had a few minor flaws…. 1. Balcony off master bedroom was very dirty and could not be used , which was unfortunate. 2. For a house that size, there needs to be more cutlery and kitchen supplies. 3. Driveway is very difficult to get in and out of , especially with a larger vehicle and when cars are parked on the street. Overall, however, the stay was pleasant and the host was very responsive when needed.

Plenty of room and the little enclosed balcony was a big hit, lots of laughs and closeness with nature to be had here.

The property was exactly as advertised. No real outdoor space to use but knew that going in. Had a few minor hiccups, but Karin answered his phone right away and got the issues resolved. Good location too. Would recommend this place to friends and family.

We were so grateful for having this house for a few days. Very cozy and comfortable to stay! Very clean too. The house was so big and the rooms were just like the picture! We slept comfortably in the big rooms. We got everything we need!! Thank you so much to the owner for letting us stay and for assisting us. For recommendations, maybe you could guys add some tv apps like youtube and netflix on the tv. Overall it's 5/5 and we would love to come back in the future. Thank you!

Our small team of four loved this space for our retreat! The wide open common areas were perfect, and though I didn't get a chance to really enjoy the library, it gave off a really nice vibe. Comfortable beds. The app to get in didn't work so I ended up having to call to get the door code, but once we had that it was no big deal. Would stay here again!

Our group really enjoyed our time at this home in Port Moody. It has plenty of large bedrooms (comfy beds!), a big living/dining area, and is close to the places we wanted to venture out to. The host was typically quick to reply to questions we had. We loved the library at the top of the stairs - lots of great books and made a good backdrop for a few folks who took work calls while we were there! :) We had some small issues with the cable TV (just changing channels), the dishwasher, and we’re a bit bummed that the foosball table is not in condition to use. But honestly, they were all issues that didn’t impact our overall enjoyment and, again, the host was quick to respond with help when needed. We would probably stay here again!

This is a perfect home for a large family or group. It has plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms as well as a large living space and kitchen. It is nicely decorated, beds were comfy and with 5 bedrooms everyone HS their own space. We stayed during one of the coldest holidays on record with snow and freezing temps and the home was cozy, The owner made sure the driveway was salted and the shoveled and the streets surrounding the neighborhood were plowed quickly, so we had no issue getting around. Would definitely recommend as a summer or winter get away. Also very conveniently located with quick access to Vancouver and other areas.

We had a great time... the TV could have worked better.. we could turn it on but changing the channel never worked.. we could have used more towels and wash clothes in the house, as well as kitchen items... such as more wash clothes, hand soap, cutting board, butter or cooking spray so our food didn’t stick to the pans... but overall we had a wonderful stay.

This beautiful spacious home provided everything we required to make our blended family Christmas memorable.

The ad said hot tub, which was one of the reasons I picked it, and the was no hot tub. But other than that it was a great place.

Nice location. Fast efficient communication with owner. Overall very pleased and would use again.

Loved it... however a few suggestions. Add more light in the dining are or leave extra bulbs. We wanted to play cards, but light bulb was burned out. There was no place in the bedrooms or closets to lay suitcase other than the floor... hard on people with back issues. Other than those 2 things it was FANTASTIC!

Great house with plenty of room. It’s in a good area as well. Couldn’t get the fire places to work but I also didn’t inquire any further about them so maybe there is no problem with them. Only negative was that the hot water didn’t seem to last very long (2 people taking showers and it was gone).

This house was perfect for our two families (8 people). Plenty of seating for family dining, lots of beds to fight over, and a well-decked out kitchen. Only concern was the difficulty in entering the house. Needed a very specific app that my Australian phone did not support. Luckily we were traveling with some American's, however if we weren't we may have been stuck, as we did not have a code for the door. Overall was a positive experience, and we would love to come and stay again some day.

We were very satisfied with the amount of space for everyone. We congregated in the living room, dining room and around the island on separate occasions. The foosball table was a nice touch for the younger crowd but it was so loud echoing through the solarium. I tried to stuff wash cloths in the goals to soften the sound of the ball hitting but it just didn't help. I felt bad for the tenant below and we tried to keep our play time short for that reason. Hope it wasn't an issue with them enjoying their stay. The manager was quick to respond to any questions and requests. Sadly I was short on time and confused with the entry process but he responded quickly and worked around my shortcomings. I thought the kingsize master bed was very comfortable! The bed in the blue room was pretty firm and ended up not being used. Thank you for the coffee. I also left some for the next guest. I would recommend this property. We travel to Port Moody multiple times a year and I hope to utilize both units in the future dependent on the amount in our party. The wooded large lot is very private and beautiful to see out the many windows. The steep driveway took some getting used to and I would be concerned having any elderly relatives walk from street if icy. We were lucky to have ample parking for 3 cars during our stay even with a tenant downstairs. Thank you Karin.

Visited Vancouver for the Labor Day weekend. We did not spend too much time in the home as we were on the move from excursion to excursion. The home had everything we needed. We were very happy with the home. Hot water and a roof over our head is all we asked for. Will come back again...needbe.

What a beautiful home, so much room, lots of books, plenty of sleeping room. Nice furniture and wonderful mattresses. We were only there a short time, but it was very nice. I would definitely rent this home again if I am in the area.

This was more than excellent place and Karin was very polite We would always want to stay there >Everything you would want was there and more and the place superb clean I would definitely recommend this to family and friends .We had come for my nieces wedding so didn't have a chance to go to any resturents If it was summer we have definitly hav had a BBQ as there was one in the beautiful backyard Thanks Karin

On the whole we liked this place. The rooms are nice and big, bathroom floors are heated and tons of natural light coming in through huge windows. It's also only 20min from downtown Vancouver and a couple minutes from local grocers/shops. There's also parking for at least four cars in the drive as well as plenty of street parking. That being said there were issues we had over our two nights: -I got a text message from the owner on the first night saying we were being too loud and the people downstairs were trying to sleep. At no point were we told that there were other people in the house. As a group of 25-30 year olds this put a major damper on the mood. -The second night we tried to cook in the oven and never got the chance. The bottom had so much debris on it that it immediately smoked like crazy. Additionally, there is NO smoke detector in the kitchen. -There were eight of us in the house, and the first morning when four of us tried to shower the hot water ran out very quickly. It was two people consecutively, then the other two simultaneously. The second morning was better because we spread it out over two hours.

The house was huge and was able to accommodate our large group of 11 adults plus kids. We brought baby mattresses for the kids to sleep on and 1 Blow up mattress. The 5 bedrooms were great and most had huge closets. (tons of room to hang stuff, not alot of shelves) the master bath was huge and you could comfortably have a romantic couples retreat in it. The yard needed some work but it is winter so we didnt expect to be out in it. We went to a near by park to let the kids run off steam. Kitchen is big enough to prep and cook for a large group with tons of seating . however it is not overly stocked with dishes pots pans etc. All depending on what u are planning to cook you might wanna bring an extra pan. Luckily there is a vv , grocery store and dollar store minutes away!! . tv was awesome!! We had a great stay. Id definitely recommend to groups looking to get away. Lastly the library was amazing. So many different topics , age ranges, there really is something for everyone. We loved it!

We have stayed in many VRBO's in the states and in Canada, and this one was unfortunately our least favorite. I hate to write a negative review for a property so many seem to like, but I will start with the good things and then go to what we didn't like about it. The Good: There was a Christmas tree set up that was very beautiful. Since we were arriving on December 26th for a week with family in B.C. we loved it and it was a very nice touch. We had access to parking in the garage which was helpful because it snowed and it was quite cold outside. For a large group the house is big with lots of space. The owners were friendly and very responsive to emails. The Bad: It was sparsely decorated, and a few of the art pieces or knick knacks still had price tags sticking on them or hanging off. Three of the rooms didn't have dressers. It felt like maybe it was rushed to rent it out? This left the space feeling cold and not very cozy. There was little in the way of kitchen wares and no staple items for cooking (just sugar). There are light-switches everywhere but no easy way to tell which switch turns on which light so there is lots of trial and error every time. The beds my kids slept in were very hard. Probably what bothered us the most was the library. In addition to a large number of horror novels, there were books that would get an R rating and books on the occult. The first thing my 11 year old son said when he looked at the shelf was "mom, there's an inappropriate book here". There were kids books interspersed throughout. I removed probably around 20 books and stuck them in an unused room because I didn't even want them near where we were all sleeping. (I would have removed more in time). A sampling of titles in addition to horror titles: Telecult Power: The amazing new way to psychic and occult wonders The Encyclopedia of witchcraft and demonology The Practical Guide to Runes : their uses in divination and magick Private Parts - this was a book 100% dedicated to men's private parts. And a book with illustrations that was so inappropriate HomeAway won't let me use the title. Also a selection of comic books that were full of shapely women and blood and somewhat perverted situations. (When VRBO has to censor your review on a house that might not be good) I really wanted to love this house, but the library put us over the edge. If they add more furniture & some throw blankets & trim their library it would be better

The location of Port Moody was surprisingly nice. We were close enough to jump on the sky train and get dropped off right at the stadium to see an Ice Hockey game. I walked from the house to downtown and found a wonderful walking trail around the bay. The beds were wonderful, very comfy and nice sheets too. There was enough from for everyone to have their own room. When we couldn't figure out how to turn on the TV Karin came and showed us. It was a wonderful week. We love BC
