Charming, tiny cottage. Great location near Main Street. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Shower is very narrow, but fine for smaller people. There is a lot of traffic on road next to house and the traffic noise can be heard clearly in bedroom.

Loved everything about our experience! Close to Main Street, we never used our vehicle, walking distance from all that is Fredricksburg! Home was cozy and had comfortable bed. Shower was a little but it’s a tiny house great, but awesome water pressure! Staff was attentive and checked up on us! We will stay here for now on!

During the day, we walked to downtown. At night, we watched deer wander around the house. This place is the perfect romantic get-away.

This little cottage is tiny, but it's on top of a hill with a huge oak tree and looks like it belongs in a story book. Comfortable and very cozy.

I’d like to give it more than 2 stars but noise level was bothersome, shower stall not built for normal size people and coffee maker takes 45 minutes to make a single cup. Location is ok but not close enough to most shops on Main Street.

We really wanted to love it. ReLly cute and the most beautiful oak tree I have ever seen. But… it has the most ridiculously small shower I have ever seen. I hope in the ceiling above the bed was very unnerving. Also, we are gods sleepers but if you are not the street noise is very load. It seems to be a very busy street right outside the front door. You constantly hear loud traffic.

Came to stay in The Burg with my sister for one night. We hiked Enchanted Rock and rode our bicycle in the residential neighborhoods close to the house. Walked to dinner and had a wonderful time! Thank you for a place to call home for a night and rest our weary bodies!

A very quaint weekend cottage. Conveniently located, in a quiet neighborhood. Really enjoyed just spending time on the porch. The amenities were nice and especially enjoyed the stereoscope; looked at all the photos!

House is very cute and well kept, but very small. Shower is the size of an RV shower and the bathroom door has trouble staying shut. The outside traffic is quite audible inside the house. It was fine for our one night stay for a place to sleep.

The house was a perfect match of old world charm of a vintage home. The only thing was the traffic of the main street out front. If you are a lightsleeper, this property may not work for you. My wife and I loved the coziness of the home. The location of the home is within two blocks of main street town town Fredericksburg. It's an experience we will keep in our memories.

The cottage proved to be a comfortably cozy "small space" for my wife and I. All we required was a cozy bed , a bathroom , and a coffee maker to enjoy coffee in the morning . Someone commented on the size of the shower. Yes it's small, but I'm 6'1" and still managed to navigate the small space with no problem. All we needed was a place to sleep after spending the day out visiting tasting rooms and vineyards. Totally enjoyed our time there!

Outside the high level of vehicle traffic, this historic rental was perfect. It opened the door to the community’s history and challenges from its beginning.

This was our third time staying in the Oak House. We love the location, within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants on Main Street. The space is plenty for my husband and myself, although the shower is TINY. The street adjacent to the house is heavily traveled late into the night and early in the morning, which can be disruptive to light sleepers. Overall, the house is clean and comfortable and I know we'll be back.

On a whim we decided to drive down for a couple of days to Fredericksburg for my spring break. It was easy to book and communicate with the managing group. The little Oak House was like stepping back in time, yet all of the modern conveniences. The bed was super comfy and made it hard to leave and get ready for the day. We took advantage of the porch and the quiet neighborhood both nights while partaking of some local grape goodness. We saw deer in the yard and crossing the street both nights. Overall, we had a great time and will definitely like to stay there again.

This cottage is right on Milam, with very very busy traffic and loud! Comfy bed, but there were no coffee pods for the coffee maker.

Loved the Oak house

We loved the location, the coziness, and how clean the house was.

We really enjoyed our stay at Oak House. It was sweet and cozy for the 2 of us. Decent distance to Main Street and all the fun things in Fredericksburg. For others looking to stay here, be aware that is near a main road and you can hear just about every car that drives by, in addition to the shower being TINY. My boyfriend is 6’5 and a bigger guy and he was touching the walls and ceiling of the shower. Other than that we think Oak House is a greta place for a quick getaway.

Vacasa was a great host for our long weekend stay at the Oak Cabin in Fredericksburg. We were able to walk to downtown from the cabin. The cottage includes a room with king size bed, a kitchen and bathroom with a shower. It is designed for only two people. There is also a front porch, patio, drive way with parking, and plenty of shade. It is called the Oak Cabin because of the massive oak tree that is like an umbrella covering the entire space. Deer come up the drive way at night. While we enjoyed the cabin, it may not be for all people. The patio, front porch, and steps into the cabin my be difficult for people with mobility issues or knee replacements. The shower is very small. The traffic noise will bother some guest. The cabin does include many comforts for guests. Chocolate muffins were waiting for us on the kitchen table. Bottled water, juices, and milk were in the mini fridge. Coffee, creamers, and sweeteners were provided along with a drip coffee maker. The cabin even had internet and movie channels. It was a great getaway for us.

I had a lovely visit. I was there researching a book at the Nimitz Museum (a must see, once you're done hitting all the antique shops!). I really appreciated that the fridge was stocked with water, milk, and there were snacks to get me through the night till the restaurents opened! Please add a front porch light on a timer so the address is visible after dark. The oak tree is amazing but in the dark, on a moonless night, makes the house in visible. Once inside that's a bonus, but a little nervewracking when trying to locate the address.

I stayed here with a girlfriend of mine for the weekend! It was very clean, cool with ac, and they left out some lovely muffins and breakfast items which was great! The house was very close Main Street and walkable to shop and grab food. The biggest problem was that you can hear the traffic and cars passing by clear as day when you’re laying in bed! It’s a great placed to stay, but if you’re a light sleeper like me, I would bring some cozy ear plugs so you can get a good nights rest on busy weekends when people are driving around at all times of the night.
