Our family had a great stay at the house, which was clean and had everything we needed for a great vacation, in a lovely neighborhood. We had a wonderful vacation with Warrens Landing as our home base.

This was the perfect house for our family's Nantucket vacation. Great location, plenty of room, beautiful views! Walk/bike to the beach. Easy access to bike path, which we used a lot. Plenty of beach supplies - no need to bring any. Frequent visits by deer and rabbits too. Magical. Thw house was very clean and well kept. We hope to return in the future.

This was our third stay at Special Place. Mark is an amazing host, the house had everything we needed for a wonderful Nantucket week. Most important to us , the location is just perfect, in beautiful Madaket , steps from bike path and minutes to beautiful beaches , in a quiet neighborhood, with a lovely very private deck -perfect for morning coffee or sunset cocktail. A week is never enough :)

Loved the house, neighborhood and proximity to beaches. Also access to tennis courts was a plus. Some small nitpicks on the rental bikes conditions but the beach chairs were a pleasant surprise

This is our 3rd year at the Special Place and the experience gets better every. Last year whole house AC, this year kitchen upgrades. So convenent to Millie's and Downtown. Local beaches are less crowded than the major south shore beaches.

Another wonderful stay at Special Place. We absolutely love the quiet Madaket neighborhood, right near the bike path and just a short walk through the dunes to a beach . We loved morning coffee and dinner on the very private deck overlooking the beautiful surroundings with a view of Long Pond . The house has everything you need and Mark is a wonderful communicator, answering any questions promptly. We hope to return again soon !

We had a wonderful week at Special Place . Mark was a great communicator and answered all our questions very quickly. Our extended family of seven was very comfortable in the four bedrooms. Absolutely loved the location , quiet neighborhood , close to the bike path and a lovely short walk through the dunes to one of the north facing beaches . Only thing that would have been helpful is a bigger table on the deck. We ate almost every meal outside on the wonderfully private deck which was great except there is only a small table that fits about four people . And there were only a few kids sized bikes available for most of the week , several adult size bikes were dropped off towards the end of the week . But overall a wonderful place to stay with everything you need to go to the beach . Very sad to leave !! Thanks for everything Mark!

We all fell in love with Someplace Special. It came well equipped with everything we could need and I will sorely miss that deck! We loved beautiful, quiet, and restful Eel Point (always a beautiful day in the neighborhood!), walks to the often private local beach, the many gorgeous and family friendly beaches, and pretty much everything else in Nantucket. The bedrooms were comfortable and clean. Everything we needed was there snd easily found like towels, kitchen appliances, beach stuff etc… it was great to have bikes available upon arrival. We had meals out on the porch morning and night, no bugs snd a nice private feeling. We took several walks on the path to 50th pole, so peaceful and classic ACK experience. AC worked very well and was appreciated because it was pretty hot out!

We had a wonderful vacation staying at “Special Place”. There were great sleeping options for everyone in our family. There is a gorgeous view from the back deck with a hummingbird who would visit me while I had my morning coffee in peace. The house was equipped with everything we needed for the beach and my daughters enjoyed playing tennis at the neighborhood court.

We were so charmed by this summer home. Myself, my husband, our daughter and our cavapoo Jack 🐶 felt right at home here. Greeted by the pretty flower boxes in front, our stay was very nice. The place was spotless, which I absolutely have to have! Comfortable beds and lots of room, we’d love to come back someday soon. Thanks Mark for your hospitality !

Cozy, friendly house and grounds in a wonderful little neighborhood. Convenient to Town, Madaket (Millies!) and beaches. We had 6 adults who all enjoyed it. Highly recommended!

Our stay at the special place was wonderful! The house was stocked with everything we needed and a short distance to the beach via a beautiful beach path.

My girls and I enjoyed our stay here at the "Special Place". We had everything we needed and didn't need to pack too much. Neighborhood was very quiet, not far from the beach and communication is very fast and easy.

Was a nice cottage with lots of supplies and beds. The deck off the kitchen on the second floor was a favorite spot to spend time and we enjoyed the birds, deer and rabbits.

Mark was very responsive. The house is right next to the bus shuttle and has bicycles to go everywhere. Definitely would come back.

We loved our stay at Special Place. Mark was very helpful and responsive to questions. Best location on the island - easy access to the bike paths; can either bike or drive to best beach on the island (Madaket) with amazing sunsets! The house is old Nantucket, very charming, and clean. Has every convenience you could want so pack light! The outdoor shower was very useful, beach chairs, bikes, etc. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay here! The location is right by the beach path, so it was a nice walk through the nature preserve to the ocean. The house is fully stocked with towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, bikes and more. It is only 10 minutes from town and is very peaceful. The host was easy to communicate with and very hospitable. I recommend staying here!

The house is in a great location, Near Madaket beach , easy shuttle or bike ride into town , etc. However, upon our arrival essentially the entire house smelled musty , like mildew , especially the first floor . This odor permeated the bedding , towels , etc . Even now , 3 days later my sweatshirt reeks of the same odor ...

We had a great week at this “Special Place”. So nice that the house was supplied with everything we could have needed. Convenient location and lovely neighborhood. Mark was a terrific communicator. Hope to stay again sometime.

It was a very easy going family style home that fully accommodates one’s needs...from towels, beach stuff and chairs, sheets, towels EVERYTHING you need for a fun and chill vacation. If I had to say anything ..some of the beds need a mattress cover and a fitting top blanket because the sheets kept sliding off the twin beds but no a big deal. Thank you hosts!

We had a wonderful time at Mark’s home in Eel Point. The house is very well maintained and stocked and very cleaned. You can tell it is loved. We used the house bikes and rented a few other specialty bikes for our kids and biked all over the island during our week stay. It was wonderful! Madaket Beach is a short bike ride away, and you can walk to go feed (or see people feed) the turtles and crabs at Long Pond. 40th Pole beach is a beautiful walk through a nature preserve although we hadn’t realized that it was a drive-on beach for cars. Unless you’re also driving on, we wouldn’t recommend this particular beach for those walking. But Dionis Beach isn’t very far by car or bike, and it is delightful. Such a fun week on Nantucket!
