Reviewer Comments: Cabin layout was very nice, 3 couples stayed so we were able to gather and also have privacy. Very disappointed in the view, there was none due to tree overgrowth around cabin. When I booked cabin I was told there was a view. Also disappointed in cleanliness of cabin. In main floor bathroom there was a heavy layer of dust on the baseboard. Blinds in windows had visible dust on them, windows in living room had hand prints and smudges. Floors were questionable as after being in our bare feet a few hours our feet were black on the bottom. We had a spill on floor when we cleaned up with damp paper towel it was also black from dirt. Home theatre only accommodated 3 people to view from one couch, there was 6 of us. Kitchen could use more silverware, we had wash to forks every meal, there was only 8-9. Mixing bowls and casserole dishes would help in the kitchen as well as a hand mixer.

The website pictures are a very accurate description of the cabins layout, amenities and location. The property was extremely clean and the customer service was amazing and extremely professional. I would most definitely recommend this property to my family and friends.

We didn’t have to go into the busy, downtown Gatlinburg area at all. The grocery store was convenient- we could go there without getting caught up in the congested Gatlinburg strip. Cabin was beautiful - great setup to share cabin with 2 other couples.

Nice and quiet location, a quick drive to get to grocery store and attractions. Had a couple of minor issues but was able to reach support by phone and chat to get those issues resolve. Furniture was comfortable and the kids really enjoy the hot tub, pool table, and projector. Some areas could have used a little more attention to cleanliness and one of the pull-out couches was broken so we pulled the mattress out so it could be used on the floor (maintenance came out and said it needed replaced). We also were able to get a late checkout at noon instead of 10am which was really helpful for us and our kids.

Unfortunately the cabin was not very clean. The floors were dirty. The rugs were dirty. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived. The dishwasher just didn’t clean dishes. There was a blanket with a large red stain and seeds on it (maybe from fruit). I washed it and the stain came out. No can opener in the cabin as well. I know we stayed during a busy time. Housekeepers may have been overwhelmed. It was a cozy cabin and we still had a great stay.

Reviewer Comments: We arrived the 23rd, everything was good, i say good cause when we arrived i noticed the bathrooms were clean but just like "quick clean" type of cleaned. I also noticed there was no complimentary shampoo just soaps but that's ok. Then we received a message to leave our faucets running or dripping to prevent pipe freezing overnight, which we did, in the morning we woke up to no water or power, the power came back on after 30 minutes but we went without water from the 24th-26th. I called maintenance and they never picked up, till i called again after so many many many calls, maintenance didnt show up till around 5pm, and when i greeted them they greeted me with, "you shouldve let us know sooner" as if i hadnt tried, i understand they had many other customers they had to help but they seemed bothered to be there. We couldnt use the toilets, showers, orDrink water, we kept running out of bottled water and had to flush the toilets with bottled water only in emergencies, which means we had to hold it in most of the trip, and we had two children with us and it was 9 of us total. The 25th maintenance was supposed to arrive around 1 (i understand it was christmas) but they never showed up, or let us know they wouldnt show up, they came to bring us more water after we asked for more cause all stores were out. I told the owner and they said maintenance wouldnt be there till the 26th which was our check out date. None of us felt comfortable after the first day, i understand these things happen but as cabin owners or renters they should know the situations that could arise and be prepared for them. We paid almost $2,000 for this cabin that we did not get to enjoy or be comfortable in at all. This was our first family vacation ever and it was ruined honestly. We were offered no type of discount or refund. Also The couches on the main livingroom were a bit worn out.

Check in time was 3 pm and we received a text saying it would be delayed until 4 pm. We arrived a little after 4 with no sign of a cleaning crew and no way to get in (it was 95* outside). We called and texted the office with no reply. Finally at 4:30 they gave us the code to get in. The cabin was GREAT and perfect for our family, but we also ran out of basic supplies. They gave us ONE trash bag for a weekend. When I inquired about more trash bags, I was told that it was in one of the emails that they only provide 1 trash bag. When I asked if they could bring me another trash bag, the answer was "no". While the cabin was great, the customer service left a lot to be desired.

This cabin, however, did not look like it had really been cleaned. The linens had been changed, but the floors and counters were sticky and dirty. The glasses also looked like they hadn't really been cleaned. There was also a maintenance man inside when we got there, which was a little scary since we had been notified it was ready to check in and didn't expect anyone to be there. The property management offered to have someone come in to clean, but by that time we had swept and cleaned the counters ourselves. There had been damage done to the floors in the past, so it didn't look as nice as the previous one. I would stay at Elk Springs again, but not this cabin.
