We came up on a work retreat/ski trip. Everyone had a very nice stay in the house. The house is great for a larger group, and the kitchen is particularly well setup for socializing while cooking. Would definitely stay there again!

We spent 4 days at this house with family. Property manager quick and easy to communicate with. House was very clean and welcoming. Amazing kitchen with big dining table, perfect for big family gathering. Convenient rooms with comfortable beds and a lot of extra folding beds and mattresses. Will definitely recommend and come back.

We had a great time celebrating my husbands birthday with our family and friends. This house was the perfect set up, giving privacy to all couples! The driveway was narrow, but didn’t cause us any issues. The house was very clean and in a great location. The kitchen supplies were very limited, but we made do! The house was just as advertised and we had the best time!

The house is well built; the amenities are some of the best, but this doesn't makeup for the issues during my stay. Initially, I asked the host if 16 people could stay since there's 16 places to sleep. Supposedly 14 is the maximum due to Truckee/HOA regulations. The host said they'd allow the extra people to stay if we paid an extra money. It seemed strange they would overlook the regulations if we paid more. At that rate, we decided the extra people would stay at a different accommodation. The extra people still came over to the house temporarily to gather for a birthday celebration. Immediately after the extra people entered the house on the first day, I got a call from the property management rep, and he was rude and aggressive saying that multiple neighbors were unhappy with the commotion of shuffling our cars around (we weren't even loud) and accused me of exceeding the maximum occupancy. He threatened me saying he took pictures of all the license plates and would report us without letting me explain myself. There was nothing said about no guests coming over temporarily, and we never let them stay the night, so it was very upsetting to be treated this way. Additionally, the house was quite dirty in a few places: cooking equipment hadn't been washed and the tub in one of the masters spewed black stuff when turned on. Lastly, the listing itself doesn't mention that two of the twins are rollout beds, which we found broken, and the downstairs queen is a pullout.

Place was great, rooms are big and lots of bathrooms. Upstairs and downstairs common areas to hang out, big garage to put stuff. Hot tub and sauna wet a big plus. Only negatives would be there is no patio furniture and the driveway is a little narrow. Other than that the place is wonderful.

Great property for a large family. The owner is exceptionally responsive - never had a vrbo host respond to messages so quickly. PROS: excellent spot to gather in the large, well-appointed kitchen, great for family dinners and game nights. Lots of privacy as each couple had their own bedroom and bath. Excellent location close to town, lovely forested backyard. Super amenities (hot tub, sauna, nice showers/tubs, jacuzzi, fireplaces, TVs, wifi, easy lock). CONS: Noisy house. Mostly hard surfaces, so sound travels. More rugs, drapes, textured paint might help. Only one bedroom had a dresser - the rest had closets with a few shirt hangers, and with one exception, shelves so high that they weren't handy for unpacking. So essentially, we lived out of our suitcases, on the floor. Adding shelving in the closets or dressers would solve this. The driveway/garage was quite clumsy to negotiate for our four cars. There were nice decks but only one had seating (a picnic table) - the others had no deck chairs, so it was hard to relax outdoors with a good book or for a low-key conversation. SUMMARY: the house had lots of amenities, a great location, ample room, and responsive, eager-to-help owner. But with the noise, messy suitcases, complicated driveway, and uninviting decks, it wasn't always relaxing.

This charming home checked all the boxes—6 bdrms and 6 baths, really well appointed kitchen in the trees of Tahoe Donner but minutes from great golf and the charm of Truckee. An investment in better beds and living room furniture would be icing on the cake

We had the best time celebrating our daughter and son in law’s wedding! This property was perfect in every way. We had our “morning of” hair and make up for all the bridesmaids. The house is gorgeous, well stocked, and spacious! Our only problem was the driveway. We had two large trucks (due to transporting things to and from the wedding venue) and it was tricky backing out. Other than that we loved it!

Great spot for our big family! Love the layout and huge kitchen which was great for everyone to be together.

Used this as a family house for our wedding weekend. We got ready here and the lighting and open spaces were amazing. Driveway can be a little tricky to navigate but that’s what you get with a beautiful house like this up on a hill. You could even explore right outside the backyard to trails. Sauna and hot tub were amazing and the steam shower really impressed us. We would stay again

This property is modern,spacious and clean with a functional kitchen and a beautiful backyard located on a quiet street. We were a total of 13 guests including kids ranging 4 year old to teens. Bedrooms are decent sized and beds are comfortable with attached balconies to many rooms which provided beautiful views.The back of the house has a hiking trail. We loved the hot tub and sauna features along with the whole house sound system. We loved our stay here and highly recommend staying here.

Great place for our multi generational family. We were able to hang out comfortably and enjoy our time together. Location is convenient to downtown Truckee.

This house was perfect for our annual couples trip to Tahoe! Everything is very new, nice and beautiful! Each couple had their own nice, big room AND bathroom. The sauna and hot tub were a hit.

I'll preface this by saying that our big group comes up to Truckee several times a year and have stayed at various properties that are comparable in size, and id have to save that our stay here was pretty average. It was clean and the rooms were big which was great for our group but it was definitely missing that WOW factor that we're used to. But the nightly rate alone is very reasonable and its great for big groups so you can't really complain. PROS: The location was great as we spent 2 days boarding at Tahoe Donner which was 10 mins away. The hot tub was clean (although half of the jets didnt work), the hot sauna was great, and the steam shower in the master bath was amazing. Communication w/ the property manager was excellent leading up to the trip and throughout our stay. There's also an area to play in the snow about 75 yards behind the property. Everyone was knee deep in powder but the kids had fun nonetheless. CONS: Unfortunately there was an issue with the washing machine that we had to work through. Thankfully, it was resolved in a day but it was definitely a hassle as it required 2 separate visits from 2 different repair guys. There was a ton of snow as we went after the storm so navigating the driveway wasn't easiest but it was manageable as we all had 4WD. Between the kids going in and out of the snow and all of our ski gear, it would've been nice if there was a mudroom to put our gear. And there were some other small details that were put offs: lack of supplies, cobwebs throughout the house, and we even noticed that one of the chairs in the kitchen was being held together by a glowstick bracelet (pretty ghetto tbh). All in all, this property is a good value for this price point if you're just looking for something for a large group.

Second time renting this property. Clean, spacious and beautiful. Very roomy, perfect for a family.

Really enjoyed our stay. Relatively open floor plan with big open kitchen and dining room with good sight lines to the TV room. Property management was very good, super responsive. A couple things to be aware of...you enter on a bedroom level, so there are quite a few stairs to climb either from the front door or the garage up to the main room. There's a separate TV room downstairs that is good for kids, but there's not much separating the noise. If you want your kids to be out of ear shot, you should probably consider that.

Truly the best rental house we’ve ever stayed in. Couldn’t have been cleaner. The kitchen was perfectly stocked and clean, the beds were comfortable, the hot tub was a blast. The rental company was incredibly responsive, friendly, and accommodating. Will be returning!!! Thank you for a great stay!

An amazing property. Gorgeous views and short drive to downtown and grocery store. Great layout for a large group. Hosts were super attentive with questions we had during the stay. Our group loved everything and already planning another trip back!

The property is beautiful and very functional for a group of 14. The house is beautiful and full of amenities to make the stay very comfortable. Our group got great use out of the sauna as well. One thing to be aware of that the neighbors are sensitive to noise and we were made aware of a noise complaint that ended up with a hefty fine. As long as the noise is kept down from 10pm onwards, it should be fine.

Each Spring Break, we travel with two other families to Truckee for a few days of play, rest, and relaxation. This was an amazing house for all of us. The rooms are laid out well, especially as we have teenagers that love their space. The kitchen was perfect for our large group. We had lots of fun at the big table playing games and building puzzles. The neighborhood was great for walks and snow play. We look forward to staying here again!

Well equipped, plenty of beds and bathroom space for a family of 13. Well located. Beds were very comfortable. Large well equipped kitchen for the whole family to gather!

This beautiful home is exactly as pictured, beautiful, clean, modern and spacious. Our multigenerational family (ages 19-78) traveled for an extended weekend stay, and the accommodations were perfect. There are three well-appointed master bedrooms with their own bathrooms, and the other three bedrooms were spacious. All the bathrooms had excellent amenities and were modern and clean. The kitchen was also well-appointed with plenty of space for cooking and entertaining your group. The gathering/family rooms were also lovely and exactly as pictured, with streaming service, excellent wifi and comfortable seating. We traveled with a family of 10, but there was plenty of room if you had a larger group or small children. Will definitely return to this beautiful getaway.

Enjoyed a lovely long weekend with 3 families with kids ranging from 18 months to 17 years! Perfect layout for a combination of privacy and communal living! We loved it!

Perfect home for a (Covid-Pod) group of friends and their 6 kids. Kitchen was a great place to gather as was the "play" room downstairs and upstairs open space. Bedrooms were plentiful and beds were comfortable. Outside area with hot tub was so much fun to take sleds out and build snowmen. Property manager was very responsive to messages.

We have been returning to this luxury dream house for years now and it’s now a part of our family tradition. There is something very special for everyone: steam room, dry sauna and hot tub for those wanted to relax, 4 fireplaces for those wanting to curl up with a book, gourmet kitchen for aspiring cooks and Netflix+Amazon prime for kids to get entertained. Our highlight this season was a huge snow hill at the back of the house. The owners are leaving plenty of downhill sleds for all to enjoy - kids didn’t want to leave the house!!!! We can’t wait to come back!!! Thanks again for this fabulous stay and so many new happy memories.
