Visited adult son in LA and along with adult daughter had a wonderful visit. Dinners in worked out well as it was an equipped kitchen. Outdoor grill also was nice to have. Great hiking nearby and overall was everything we wanted.

The property is showing its age, some exterior dry rot. There is a leak from some pipe under kitchen sink. Need upgraded hairdryer in master bath. But a quiet, pleasant neighborhood (other than a fire in carport across the street during the night with 5 fire trucks responding). Grocery stores and finer restaurants are some distance away. Surrounding hills/mountains are quite lovely.

A great mid century condo with outdoor space. Fit 3 to 4 adults well. We used the BBQ and oven. All worked well. Only wish there was a string of outdoor lights on the patio so we could have eaten outside after sunset.

My wife and I immediately loved the property. Compact, but not tight, it had everything we could have wanted, from the inviting living space and patio, to the well appointed kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. Our only regret was that we didn’t have a few more days to spend in this great property and attractive neighborhood!

Short winding road to this location from the main avenue. The property was super clean with comfortable beds , a comfortable sofa and chair and a nice patio. A few furniture pieces were well worn, though. We appreciated the books and although we just watched one tv at times, we had access to Netflix! We would stay here again. Note- I was under the impression I would see the mountains outside the door or windows but that wasn’t the case. We usually rent beach condos on the Gulf so my expectations were not realistic. We did see mountains coming and going from the apartment.

We were welcomed by a gift basket of treats which was a sweet touch after a long day of traveling. It was so nice to have a private patio with plenty of seating options and even a grill (which we never got around to using). It was also great to have a washer and dryer on hand. The furniture was comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and updated. The gas fireplace in the living room was a big plus for the cool winter evenings and made sitting in front of the TV a cozy experience. At one point the water heater died and our host was super quick to respond and had it replaced immediately. The neighborhood is lovely and I'm glad I got to experience it. I had not stayed in the foothills before and I like to walk for exercise, but hadn't realized how steep some of the streets would feel to me! I thought I'd walk the 3/4 of a mile down the foothills but soon realized I wasn't going to be comfortable walking the turning stretch of road that crests the canyon and has very little room for a pedestrian on the drop-off side and no room on the other side. Instead I drove down to Pasadena and walked the (flatter) neighborhoods there. Pasadena is not far and there was plenty to do and see there, but we always enjoyed coming back to our place in the foothills, as it had all the comforts of home and felt very private.

Up the hill from Pasadena, this property was perfect for two adult couples. Kitchen was wonderfully equipped, beds were super comfy and the backyard/patio was great to hang out and bird watch. We had the pleasure of being awakened by a flock (?) of parrots - seriously wonderful - and enjoyed a daily visit from Sally the neighborhood cat.‘can’t wait to return!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. House was perfect for two couples and a great location to the Rose Bowl. Had one issue and contacted the property manager and was resolved immediately! Would definitely return and recommend.

This was the perfect stay for us as we were visiting family in the Los Angeles area as well as visiting Disneyland, Universal Studios, and downtown LA. The place is clean and comfortable and the description and photos in the listing are pretty accurate. Check-in/check-out was easy, we encountered zero issues, and communication with the property manager was great. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay! The property manager sent us really detailed instructions and left a lovely welcome basket for us with treats. The patio was lovely and we really enjoyed watching all the hummingbirds in the morning. We were close to everything we planned to visit and it only took about 30 minutes to get to most Hollywood and Downtown activities. Grocery and food delivery options in the neighborhood were awesome and everything you need is there. Only constructive criticism I have is that the beds are REALLY firm. So plan accordingly if you like a softer mattress. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

My husband’s godson and his family visited us for a week and we were so happy that we found this place around the corner from our house. It was perfect for them. Cute and cosy 2 bedroom with a small outdoor patio space. The place was immaculately clean and had all they needed. They enjoyed their stay there. Great communication from the house manager. :)

Although the customer service was very good, Some problems were endemic. The heater was inadequate, it hardly heat the master bedroom and the master bath was so cold we had to keep the our closed so as not to cool the bedroom. Skillets were not non-stick and difficult to clean. fireplace was a joke. Bed linens were of poor quality. One shower head had to be replaced. No serviceable broom for cleaning. Plates for eight but silverware for four. It was cozy and we made do but would not trnt this property again.

Well appointed property in a lovely neighborhood-a few miles from Altadena center. Quiet, with pretty views of the mountains. Comfortable, with a great mid century vibe. We were visiting family and this was just perfect!

We stayed three nights. The place was clean and just the right size for two couples. Good showers. Plenty of towels and other basic necessities. Really cute patio area for sitting out in the sun. We'd definitely return if we're down for another Ducks vs UCLA game. Good location to get to the stadium.

This property was perfect! My husband and 2 daughters (9 &12) had plenty of space. 2 queen beds in separate rooms were exactly what we were looking for. Coming in and leaving the property were so easy. There is street parking right in front of the unit, but also covered parking behind it. We cooked quite a bit while we stayed, and had all the pots, pans and utensils we needed. Our biggest surprise was all the wild parrots that lived there and you could hear in the mornings. It felt like you were living in the middle of the rainforest, which for us was great because we love birds. (We looked it up and there is a whole story about how they have made a home in that area) It was a great quiet residential neighborhood tucked back against the mountains so we felt like we weren't staying in the busy hustle of the city. We went to Universal and the drive was 25-30 minutes early in the morning, and most times getting into LA took about 45 minutes. We only used the dryer and it worked great. A really sweet personal touch was the basket of wine and goodies waiting for us when we arrived. We have not had that at any other VRBO and that was just so sweet. We had a few questions for the owner and she was quick to respond. Thank you so much for the great place to stay. We would stay again!

There was no downside to staying at Juniper House. It was easy to book with excellent communication from the management company. The place was clean and comfortable. The icing on the cake was the little welcome basket of treats!

The house is adorable! The neighborhood was nice & quiet! The binder of info was very helpful and the welcome basket was sweet! There was 3 in my party and the house accommodations were perfect! The management was very quick to respond to all communication. Thank you!
