Beautiful view, right above the ocean. Whale watching was great! And Green Sea Turtles. The condo had plenty of room and amenities.

The place was perfect size for our party of 7… there were bugs in the kitchen… told the manger.. nothing done about it while we were there though. Everything we needed was in the kitchen. Coffee finder didn’t work though. Otherwise, the beds were comfortable and wifi worked. The view was stunning. We really enjoyed our first time in Hawaii.

We needed a place 1) on the ocean 2) equipped with elevator for person with some disabilities 3) place with at least 2 bathrooms (at least one with walk in shower) and 4) an assigned place to park. We ended up with a 4 bedroom but as I said I loved being on the ocean. We have been to Hawaii yearly for the past 40 years. My friend had never been and was the one with disabilities. Absolutely loved the location . Overall enjoyed the place. Tons of dishes, pans, etc in the kitchen. Had an issue with bugs but nothing I have not seein before. The screens had some tears in the bottom (bird entered thru one) and we could not figure out how to run the TV's. We got the bird out without a problem. Despite the nick-picking issues I would definitely stay there again. Got a one bedroom place with the same view :)?

My family of 5 stayed here for 1 week. The spectacular ocean views don't do the picture justice. Home comes equipped with basic kitchen amenities as well as beach necessities, like towels, umbrellas, snorkel gear, sand shoes and toys. The lanai provides outdoor comfort to eat a meal and lay back and watch the surfers, whales and waves. The owners also provided binoculars for us to enjoy the beautiful view. Definitely eat at Da Poke shack located on the property entrance, the best poke in town and catch the sunset at the sandy beach nearby.

Right on beach, we enjoyed the unbeatable sunset and great view, very spacious, great for a group of 7 hang out and relaxing! Kitchen has everything we needed to cook meals, Unit has plenty beach towels. Easy communication with Casago. Could be easily stay for more than a month! Definitely will come back, and recommend to friends and families.

We spent an amazing Christmas holiday here. My mother lives in Kona and the property was just down the street from her condo. We were in close proximity to the downtown area and the view was simply amazing. I would highly recommend this rental for large groups as it is in a good location and gives enough room for everyone to stretch out.

We enjoyed our stay at this condo! The location is great, very convenient to get everywhere in Kona from here. The lanai is amazing, we spent a lot of our time sitting out there and it was great for bird watching and seeing humpback whales! The building and unit itself are a little older, but still very comfortable and well-furnished.

Lots of issues reported via both text/phone, but management didn’t respond. Eventually promised follow-up > 24 hours later, that didn’t occur. Would still appreciate a discount for undisclosed major issues… Not having any privacy in a bathroom (that four of the seven people were using) was not acceptable. The lack of doors/privacy should have been disclosed. They came the next day to put a curtain where a door should have been - a bathroom with a clear shower door. Having to leave one of two keys for maintenance (with a party of 7 wanting to explore) was a bit of an inconvenience, as well as arriving to a broken toilet, and needing to provide access for that as well. There was also a bug that very much resembled a cockroach (I sent them a photo) that was seen twice inside of the dishwasher. And the dishwasher compartment for soap does not close. The furnishings on the outside patio are a little worn. Even just replacing the completely worn out cushions would be a huge upgrade. There is a broken spindle on one of the railings, and we have a three year old… It made me very uneasy and is a huge safety concern. The railing (even where fully intact) isn't very sturdy. Overall, we are certainly not at a five star level, as they attempted to solicit. If there's anything Casago/owner can do to help address these issues after the fact, we would greatly appreciate it, as this was a bit of a splurge short stay, and it was shockingly lacking in several areas.

We felt like honored guests whose needs were anticipated at every step. Communication before, during, and after our stay was excellent. This is a beautiful condo in a well-maintained building in a great location. The other reviews about the unit and some furnishings starting to show some age are accurate, but everything is clean, functional, and of top quality. For future guests who might have hand grip/strength issues, be advised that all the bedroom and bathroom doors are heavy pocket doors and a challenge to slide. On the plus side, these solid wood doors are great for sound privacy. The balcony is big and the sunsets are stunning. We also liked watching the surfers and were delighted to discover that the public access point they use is a small beach at the end of the building. It is too rocky for casual swimming, but there is white sand for wading and lounging.

This property is very spacious but needs updating.Not what I would consider a penthouse property. Two bedroom doors wouldn't close, one dishrag, large rip in screen door, beach chairs were rusted, garbage disposal worked on and off. Kitchen well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils but be prepared to buy everything else. Other family members stayed on this property and units were much nicer equipped and updated.

The view from the balcony cannot be matched! It was so lovely to wake up to that view daily. However, the home does need a little refresh. The kitchen is dated with some broken counter tiles, the box springs on every bed but one were not covered and the pocket doors (which are every door) are very hard to even move. Some of them didn't move at all. So there was no door on the master bath for the shower/toilet area - only a bamboo curtain. That was odd. Our bed (in the larger master) was comfortable but the other guests said their beds were just ok. Also, some plusher/newer towels would be nice and additional toilet tissue would have been a plus as well. We did run out considering there were 7 adults in the house.

Beautiful view enjoyed our stay

This 3-star rental provides stunning oceanfront views, close proximity to activities, a plethora of equipment provided for our enjoyment, spacious accomodation, and fantastic management communication. However, the complex and unit are very aged and could use renovation and extermination. FYI, close your vehicle vents to prevent bugs from getting inside. The unit was nice but the need for renovations left us feeling like we overpaid for the stay. There was an old stale odor throughout the unit (we purchased and left an air diffuser to help with the smell), there was a water leak in one of the bedrooms celings, there were roaches in the complex, and minor cosmetic fixes which needed to be done. Despite these things, our first family vacation to Hawaii was beyond memorable.

The condo was large, had a great deck and was on the water. We enjoyed the turtles and ocean life. It could use some updating but we enjoyed it.

We stayed with two families including my mother. There was plenty of space for everyone to build puzzles, play games on the deck, or for those that wanted - watch TV in their rooms (only that first night, though for TV -HaHa). The pool was clean and enjoyed by my nephew. We saw a pod of dolphins from the balcony and tide pools were right below the deck for a pre-breakfast exploration. The location was fabulous! Only downside was a slight musty smell in the bedrooms if the windows were closed.

Love this place!

We loved the space for our family, the proximity to the ocean, and the location on the island. The grills were finnicky, but that's really the only complaint we had. Would love to stay there again!

We had a very nice time, my wife and I were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, so we had the kids and grand kids all come out with us. Great location, great views, would definitely do it again!

We loved the spacious condo and the ocean view! It was a short drive the Kona and other sights. Perfect location! Would definitely stay again.

Location was great, can’t beat falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. 4 bedrooms were perfect for 2 families traveling together. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinners. The lanai accommodated the group. The table has a leaf to extend and seat us all comfortably to enjoy the beautiful mornings and breathtaking sunsets.

It was a lovely and very roomy condo. Four bedrooms with three bathrooms was a perfect size for seven adults traveling together. The condo itself is a little dated but updated bathrooms, furniture and flooring. It had everything you need.

If you’ve stayed at Kona Bali Kai you know the location is hard to beat - on the water, da poke shake is on site - those alone merit 5+ stars. But it is also an older building and this unit needs some tlc. It was fine on most major matters - beds and pillows comfortable, multiple TVs for those inclined, good air conditioning, well appointed kitchen. The not so good: very dirty bathmats and rugs, flaking paint in places - it needs deep cleaning and some maintenance work, perfumed laundry detergent used on sheets and towels and rom freshener to mask the inevitable musty smell from unit being closed up was hard on those in our party who are sensitive to these scents; multiple outlets that don’t work (frankly the unit needs a thorough review and fixes by electrician), o multiple sliding doors on lanai didn’t lock. All of this was reported to property manager so hopefully will be addressed. Overall, it’s pluses outweigh the issues for us as we are used to staying in tropical areas where it’s challenging to keep on top of everything at times but if your not the type that can roll with some imperfections….

While the decor and condo complex was a bit of a throwback, the location was without equal. The view was spectacular and it was quite spacious. You can literally see Banyans and Lymans surf spot from the deck.

Great house, the perfect location. really enjoyed the stay. We will be back!

We stayed here the last three nights of our trip and the lanai and sunsets were amazing! Turtles were right outside the complex and our kids enjoyed the small, but fun pool. The house had all the amenities we needed for the beach and it was a decent location for all the restaurants. Thank you for the use of your home!

The fourth story balcony is huge and is shared by two master suites and the living room. If you are looking for an ocean view, look no further, this balcony is squared up to the ocean and the view is unobstructed. The sunsets were amazing and there is enough furniture outside for all the guests to have a seat and to enjoy your meals. We found the location to perfect for our needs, with nice shopping and restaurants within a few miles.

A very nice fourth floor condo overlooking (and right on) the ocean. Great balcony, although some of the outdoor furniture was broken. Nice pool as well.

This condo was exactly as presented in the description and pictures. It was very clean as well appointed. The lanai's were "to die for!" The views were spectacular! We were very comfortable and felt that we were in the middle of everything! The only issue with communication with the property manager was the time difference, which is unavoidable. If we ever return we will definitely return.

We enjoyed our stay at condo. Kitchen was well stocked and grounds were very well maintained to be an older building. Very nice views of the ocean and could see sea turtles swimming in ocean off the balcony.

We had a really nice stay at this property. Lanai was wonderful and well used by us. Condo was well stocked and spacious. Only complaint was really that there was a strong smell in the condo when we checked in - which was better when we started running fans and air conditioner. Some of the doors were stuck but we were able to manage. Overall a nice stay

Property was very clean and a great set up for my 7 family members. New living room furniture. they need a new dishwasher. The spring for the door is shot and the soap dispenser lid is broken. The shower head broke but was promptly fixed by the maintenance man. Over all we had a great time. It would be nice if you could swim off the property but it's too rocky. Having a washer dryer was a great bonus.
