The house was perfect for a relaxing, fun, lakefront getaway. It had all the amenities of home, and more! The views of the lake from the upper deck, lower deck, and hottub were amazing; can't wait to get back!

The view if the house is perfect!

Awesome home on the shores of Lake Almanor. Located in a great neighborhood and a super spot on the lake. Don't let the lack of a direct view of Mount Lassen fool you: the property's position on the Lake is ideal, sheltered by the peninsula without having to deal with the hassles of going in and out of the country club. The home is comfortable and well laid out. Kids can play all day downstairs without getting underfoot of the adults upstairs in the kitchen, dining and living spaces. The bunkroom in particular is terrific. We stayed during Christmas season and had to deal with snow, but can see why the cabin stays booked up during the summer. Great place!

Absolutely enjoyed our family Thanksgiving get together at your cabin. Had a great time watching the sunset and sunrise from the deck. The views are spectacular!

The minute we walked into the house we felt at home. It had everything we needed to have a comfortable family weekend. The view of Lake Almanor is spectacular ! It was a changeable weather weekend which is to be expected in October and so we saw the lake in sunshine, cloudy and misty, and a little bit of rain on the last day. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Our grandson got out one of the kayaks and had a paddle around and our daughter took out her paddle board. We only saw a couple of other people out on the water the whole time we were there. It was very peaceful. We made use of and thoroughly enjoyed the s’mores kit provided. Thank you Christina for sharing your home with us. We all said we would love to return.

The house was perfect for a large group. Views were even better than the photos. Fire pit and overall setting of the house was very scenic.

This was such an amazingly, spectacular lake house. It was perfect for our family of five with all the things to do right on the lake. (This could easily accommodate three families. ). We took the kayaks on the lake, fished off the dock, played bocce ball, and enjoyed the spa (there’s also fus-ball and ping pong). The views from this property are out of this world!!! The kitchen was huge and we’ll equipped. The beds were comfy. There was plenty of room to spread out. My teenagers enjoyed the tv in each room and that it had WiFi. We also enjoyed a day fishing on the lake and chartered a fishing boat (thank you Matt at 530.965.2085). We will be back! We can’t wait to come out during the summer so we can swim in that lake. We had a great time here and the views were amazing. You walk out of the sliding door have a perfect view of the lake. The house is a good layout, definitely enough space for a bigger group and plenty to do around the lake. One tip - get grocery shopping done ahead of time because the small grocery store in town is quite expensive

Such a beautiful setting, our whole family had a great time. There was room for everyone, the owners were great with all of our needs. Loved the fact that everyone had a bed, no one had to sleep on a blow up mattress. Firepits, fireplaces, games, books and heck even fishing poles...they have it all!!!

My family of 16 and I stayed at this wonderful house for Christmas. The views were breath taking and there was plenty of room and bathrooms for 7 kids and 9 adults to sleep and play. I would highly recommend this house for winter and would love to stay here during the summer months.

I can't say enough about this place. The view is breathtaking, and the amenities were perfect. It had everything we needed and plenty of room to spread out. We enjoyed the fire pit and the spacious kitchen. We can't wait to come back.

The home is a fantastic layout to host the whole family. The views are breathtaking and access to the private dock in the backyard is easy to get to. A wonderful place for kids of all ages and many locations to hangout and soak in the beauty of Lake Almanor. The hosts are quick and clear with all communication, I highly recommend this rental.

Property was terrific. Location on the lake and all accommodations in the cabin were good, with one issue that the gas oven went out and would not light. Homeowner was great trying to provide replacement options, and ultimately gave us back a credit on our rental fee. Otherwise we would be happy to return another time.

Quiet street great for families when considering walking, running or riding bikes. Property has nice privacy. Beautiful lake and mountain views. Perfect sun exposure for water activities and lawn with nice evening shade on deck around dinner time.

We loved our stay. The sun rises and sunsets from the deck are stunning. The accommodations are cozy and well maintained. We stayed in August 2017 and the week flew by. Having a personal dock for our boat was an added bonus. We will certainly look to rent this place again! Oh did I mention the fire pit? S’mores anyone........

We are a family group of 11, including 5 grandchildren ranging from 8 to 17, four parents and two grandparents along with a ski boat. This is our third year renting the West's home. It just fits us perfectly, the kitchen has everything we could need, condition is excellent, including a spacious outback guest house. All have TV, wifi and a short walk to the private boat dock. Additionally, Lake Almanor is gorgeous, seemingly one of California's secret getaways.

This place is awesome!!! We've stayed here 3 times in the last 4 years or so & have it booked again next year. The lake views are spectacular from everywhere on the property. This place is great for multiple families or just being able to have your own space. My wife, 2 kids & I occupy the downstairs while my parents take the main floor, my brother takes the loft & Aunt & uncle take the studio over the garage . . . well laid out. Can't wait for next visit in 2018. Ryan

This year was our 5th year at AlmanorGetaway. It has been our family's favorite vacation for the last 5 years and it just keeps getting better! The house affords our family of nine plenty or room to spread out where you want and enjoy this beautiful location. It couldn't be better.This year we were treated with improvements! New wider deck, lower deck expansion and the new bocce ball court. As always, the deep water dock is perfect for any size boat, kayak or inner tube. There is the wonderful town of Chester that has all your grocery, food and souvenir needs. I couldn't recommend this property more! We will continue to return and can't wait for next year!

WOW! PERFECT! AWESOME! These were just a few of the initial comments from our family of three generations who take frequent vacations together. The "Lake Almanor Getaway” surpassed all of our expectations from the initial contact with the owners, Christina and Wyatt, to our very reluctant departure. We kayaked, fished, swam, read on the dock, played cards, relaxed in the hot tub, enjoyed awesome meals on the porch/deck. The views are spectacular, the gourmet kitchen was fully stocked, the barbecue fantastic and every meal was complete with smores around the fire pit. To support all of our adventures, the property is complete with kayak’s, a canoe, games, deck chairs for the dock, a nearby launch for our boat and our grandson’s (age 7 & 4) enjoyed the rare opportunity of late night movies in their “awesome” bunk room! We shopped at the local Paradise Market which has a fabulous butcher, deli and all our food/beverage needs. Topping off our hosts amazing support was a heads up that there was a Wine and Art Festival at Lasson National Park during our visit. This was a wonderful side trip to complete our magical time together. The entire family plans to return next year and without a doubt we will once again enjoy a wonderful “Getaway” thanks to the attention to detail of Christina and Wyatt.

The house is even more beautiful that the pictures! in our 3 day stay we didn't want for anything. It was winter but even then there is enough to do in the house itself. Its spacious and well stocked. Owners were a joy to work with. It's truly a home as you can tell with the special touches the owners have put in. They had even decorated the house for Christmas complete with a tree and mistletoe!! Once you've been there you can tell its a home not just a house put up for rent. Would love to return in summer. 5 stars all the way.

I looked at a lot of properties and read a lot of reviews before booking this rental. Everything that was mentioned in the reviews was absolutely true! The view is unobstructed and the dock with sun umbrella was our favorite afternoon hang-out. We love this part of the lake and even though it was quite low this year, the dock handled the lower level perfectly. The owners have been very pleasant to work with and you can tell they have lots of fun at their cabin because all the right toys and amenities are on site. We've already booked for next year.

We had a wonderful time with an awesome view. The owner even left us making for somores with a welcome note. Nice touch. We enjoyed all the games,bocce ball and kayaking. We will for sure be back.

This home is a fantastic family retreat. it has everything you need and more! Very kid friendly home, beautiful kitchen, spacious rooms, plenty of fun games and lakeside activities. Owners are responsive and extremely easy to work with. You can tell they really care about their home and our experience at the lake. We will be renting this home again next year. Hands down our favorite rental on the lake!

Property exceeded our expectations (we expect a lot) and had plenty of parking. The photos were accurate (better in person), and it was very clean and very well maintained. The owners were great to work with, responded quickly and went above and beyond. I would highly recommend this property to anyone, we were a group between ages 5 and 70 and had no complaints. More than enough bath rooms, plenty of hot water, great laundry facilities and quality appliances and pots, pans, etc, not to mention the view. The apt above the garage was lovely, we put our honeymooners (married July 6, 2012) up there. We did not eat out except for our arrival day we ate pizza at The Buffalo Chip ( very good) in Westwood, about 6-7 miles away. Westwood looks like a town you would expect to see horses and a stage coach hitched up. We enjoyed the property so much we as a group only went to Lassen National Park ( about 45 min.) which was great, a small group went to Indian Falls about 35 min. south to swim and jump off rocks at heights from 2 feet to 50 feet into the river and Grandpa and Grandma (us) went to Quincy, a quaint little town about an hour south, they have a large lumber mill there and if you call ahead may be able to arrange a tour. The Collins Pines Museum in Chester is interesting and well worth a visit.. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED IN THIS LAKE FRONT PROPERTY!! A great big thank you to the West family. Frank /Janice and crew.
