Huge clean house, everything you could need for a stay. Lots of games and fun entertainment. Location is awesome. The river is amazing with a fun hike down to it. The hosts are spectacular. We got stuck off roading and needed an emergency pick up- they did not need to do this for us but they did - we are so grateful. Can’t wait to come back.

We had a quiet stay in the cabin by the river. The river canceled out any other noises (which were minimal) and we found the place very calming and quiet. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, and the living room is large with a great view. The host was very accommodating and made the whole process exceedingly easy on us. The cabin is not overly staged and feels very home-y. Highly recommend for a quiet spot. My only suggestion is that if you bring small children, you will need to keep an eye on them as there is a steep hill leading to the water.

Enjoyed our stay, the house was very clean and the neighbor very nice. The river below the house was fantastic. The owners are on site all the time.

The house was very clean and well organized. We were in Lake Almanor for my niece's wedding that was less than 3 miles away. We had 8 people actually staying in the house that included a 10-month-old to my 87-year-old mother. We had plenty of room to spread out. My favorite was the porch swing on the deck that overlooked the river. The house was also large enough to have a BBQ and S'mores and game night with extended family. The sounds of the river were very relaxing.

This is a fantastic house! It's comfortable, homey and had a lot of space for our family to spread out. The ping pong table and pool table were a big hit for the crew. Debbie was a great host and wonderful to work with. We highly recommend this home and hope to come back!

Pros: Great location for fishing enthusiasts. Great communication from owner. Fun house w lots of entertainment features like a pool table, ping pong table (not sure where to play it), board games, karaoke, electric piano. Cons: Very strict house rules. Multiple copies posted around the house. Owner asks for renters to take garbage out when checking out, as well as clean dishes (what does the $200 cleaning fee include?) The thermostat is password protected, and is not provided to the renter, so no way to adjust it.

Property was comfortable for us friends to visit and hike in Lassen National Park and around Lake Almanor. Backyard deck was ideal for evening relaxation with the sound of the river flowing. Enjoyable stay overall!

We booked the listing to use for a family vacation. The property was wonderful and definitely lived up to expectations. Debbie was very responsive when we had questions and we were sad to leave.

The house is exactly as described. Large and roomy, able to accommodate a large party. It is close to the lake. The river below is beautiful and relaxing. Loved the deck. The owners are very nice and attentive.

We were very impressed with this house, the decor is very tasteful with a flair of ‘fun.’ The house was stocked with beautiful dishes, wine glasses, wonderful selection of spices, pots and pans and even sharp knives and utensils. The beds were WONDERFUL and linens smelled heavenly. All the bathrooms were spotless and had thoughtful items on the counter such as Qtips. The deck had a spectacular view of the river with plenty of patio furniture and a swing!! Family hiked down to the river and back and said it was gorgeous. We didn’t have a chance to play billiard or ping pong but we were tickled it was available. Our family ages ranged from 1 year old to 88 years old and could not have been more pleased. Family dinners and gatherings were super comfortable and enjoyable. And another positive plus was no stairs entering the house. The host and house cleaner were both a delight to work with. We look forward to our next stay. My family is already asking me to set a date. :)

This property was right on the river. It was a short 5 minute walk to the river opening. The boys caught about 20 fish. The accommodations were amazing. The kids were entertained with ping pong, pool, and chess. I was entertained with the view and the standing keyboard. Such an amazing property!

We enjoyed a fantastic 4 nights at this house - boated daily and hung out at the house nightly. Debbie and her husband have everything you need for your stay - the ping pong table was a hit and we enjoyed hanging out on the deck listening to the river. They were excellent hosts and we would return again!

This is a beautiful property with a wonderful view of the river. The house was fantastic for our family, and we enjoyed the deck, playing games, and relaxing. We brought our boat, and it was a short drive to launch the boat. My elderly parents loved the accommodations as well, and it was great that there was a step-in shower on the main floor. Debbie is a great host- was pleasant to work with and is a great communicator. We would absolutely stay at this property again! Lake Almanor did not disappoint, and we are hopeful to return in the future!

Very quiet and relaxing home by the river!

Comfortable cabin with nice amenities. Lovely deck out back with direct view of river, plenty of seating, and a propane grill. Kitchen is easy to cook in and well stocked with utensils, pots and pans, etc. Warm fireplace in winter. We really enjoyed the billiards and ping pong table. The surrounding small town is mostly residences and not many stores / groceries, so do your shopping / errands / special rec equipment rentals before you arrive or plan ahead. Some in our group did not love the mattresses. Overall, we would stay here again!

The property was a great fit for our family with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. The kitchen was well equipped and the games, pool and ping pong table were fun. Unfortunately, we were placed under an evacuation warning after 2 nights due to the Dixie wild fire and had to leave.

Debbie and Dave, are wonderful hosts! My family and I recently stayed at their river front home for a week of fishing, hiking and relaxing on the deck. We can’t thank them enough for our wonderful stay!

I’ve rented several homes and this one is my favorite. The home is large enough to accommodate a large family with four lovely bedrooms. The pool table in the living room was a big hit with the teenagers. The family room was comfortable with large sofas in which to relax but our favorite place was the large deck for a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine listening to the rushing water in the creek below. The kitchen came equipped with lots of dishes, pots and pans, and anything you need to whip up a big meal. The location is close to Lassen National Park, Burney Falls, and Lake Alminor giving great opportunities for day outings. We hope to return here in the future.

This was a great house for our needs, as we came to visit friends who live in the neighborhood. We enjoyed the deck and the river views, plus the river sounds coming in the windows. There was also the occasional chugging train across the highway. The guys had fun playing pool. Kitchen was more than adequate with every appliance and tool needed for food preparation. The beds were excellent and ours (a king) was just right firm! Had a lovely time visiting with Debbie and David, too. All in all, it was a wonderful vacation.

Debbie is wonderful! Her place is very cozy and clean. We are already planning to return with the family next summer !!

This home is located on the gorgeous Hamilton Fork of the Almanor River that flows into Lake Almanor. Bald eagles, osprey, ducks and herons were seen from the deck. The home was very clean and quite comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the wet bar was a nice extra. For the most part we fixed dinners in but did enjoy some nice restaurants within a ten minute drive. The pool table was a big plus. The beds were very comfortable. The house was just as described. The owner was very prompt in answering questions. We truly hated to leave! We hope to go back next year.

The property is very well equipped and well stocked. The adults spent most of the time on the amazing patio and kids had a blast at the pool and ping-pong/TT table. Debbie and David are the nicest and kindest people that we have ever met. They went out of their way to help us whenever we needed. We had a great time. We are going back for sure.

After the past year of COVID lock down we were ready to get out of our house.After a long drive, we arrived an hour earlier than expected and found the VRBO freshly cleaned, ready for us to relax. The initial attraction was to go inside to explore and let the kids stake out their rooms, but our attention quickly turned to the back porch overlooking the fast-flowing creek. It was at this time we realized we arrived at a perfect vacation spot for us.Over the course of the next five days, the patio was one of the high points to the property to simply sit and relax to the gentle sound of the creek. Yes, it was cold, low 30’s to high 40’s, but after all, it was the month of March in the Sierra Mountains. It was what we wanted and expected.The house was comfortably furnished and provided plenty of distraction for the kids to play ping-pong, learn how to play pool and poker, plus there are plenty of board games, too. If I had to select one negative thing about the house, I would say the two leather sofas were not comfortable, but I did manage to take a nap on one.The bedrooms provide ample space for the kids to spread out and all rooms, except one room downstairs, provided views of the creek. Our bed was very comfortable, and the sheets and blankets provided the needed warmth without the bulk. I appreciated both the comfortable mattress (I do not say this lightly as I have a bad back) and the no bulk blankets. We enjoyed the gas fireplace and used it often, especially after sitting on the back porch. We purposely did not use the wood fireplace, but it was prepped, clean and ready for use.As the cook of our household, I appreciated the diversity of pots, pans, dishes, and utensils provided. We cooked all our meals and were able to accomplish his with all the kitchen appliances provided (perhaps a larger cheese grater would have helped for our cheese hungry kids), but I found the kitchen to be more than sufficient. I am not a fan of electric stoves, but it worked well without issue.Overall, we really enjoyed the house and its amenities, and we would return for anther trip to the Lake Almanor area.
