Everything as described. Very short walk to the ocean. Great deck furniture on 2 decks. Excellent communication with host. Decorated nicely.

We loved the house! Right on the beach with the sound and view of the ocean from almost every room. Two balconies, one on top to watch sunrise and sunset and the stars at night and one below to relax in the shade during the hot afternoon sun. The kitchen was well stocked and the house had beach chairs and supplies so we didn’t need to lug them down ourselves (we drove a long way to reach Emerald Isle). And the hosts were very helpful, even shipping us back a coffee grinder that we mistakenly left at the house. Highly recommend!

We love the location of this property. So many of our favorite restaurants and shops are close by. The beach is great, and the decks are perfect for enjoying your morning coffee, reading a book or just watching the ocean. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful house on the beach perfect for family. We enjoyed the deck for morning coffee and evening snacks. The gates on the steps protected the 1 year old!

We had a great time at this house. The house was right on beach and was very easy to go back and forth to beach. We loved sitting out on the lower deck during the day when hot because it was completely shaded. The host was very responsive to any questions that were asked. The top floor seemed very spacious with everyone there (we had a total of 8 people).

Have done a number of rentals. No place is perfect but we were impressed that this rental seemed to try to do what they could...best stocked kitchen of any rental we've had, towels that felt like towels, not a piece of paper, soaps, paper towels, tp etc., ample beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, not just a half broken one or 2, guest book etc. Very easy walk to the beach, nice outdoor shower with hot water etc. Was it perfectly clean, of course not, but no rental is. But we felt like it probably was at the start of the season and compared to many beach rentals, it was wonderful. A bit further from grocery stores than is our preference, but we knew that when we booked so it was fine.

Seas were rough for much of our week, but we found plenty to do in Xanadu East. We appreciate all the care for their home and for our stay that the owners provide. It's always hard to leave, but we get to say "until next year!"

We came here for my dad’s 60th birthday. Property owners were incredibly helpful. We ran into an issue with the ac and they had a repair man out and had the issue fixed in less than 24 hours. Wonderful communication, accurate listing, gorgeous property. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We enjoyed the home, location and the oceans sounds. This home has everything and more. The upper and lower decks were used most. Grateful for the beach chairs. Definitely a home we would like to return to.

The house is great, and the best features are the upper and lower decks where you can look out over the ocean in the morning sun on the top deck or on the lower deck in the afternoon when the sun is hottest. We have gone back several summers and always enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately we can no longer bring our pet, so we will be going elsewhere. But we have happy memories of Xanadu East.

It didn’t hit me until I walked upstairs. After driving down from northern Virginia I just wanted to get the car unloaded and into the house. Once everything was inside I took a couple bags upstairs and Xanadu upended up to a large living room with windows looking out to the ocean. At the top of the stairs I realized how much I needed this vacation. My shoulders relaxed and I took a deep breath.
Everything was as described. The deck is most memorable. Large and offering wonderful views of the surf, sand and sun. Easy beach access from the deck.
We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay again.

We come back every year because it’s best beach house and ocean front we’ve found. Tony is a great host and easy to reach if needed and the home is so family friendly. Granddaughter calls it her beach palace.

As always, our stay at Xanadu East was exceptional! We especially appreciate how well-appointed the kitchen is since we cook in most of the week. We also loved the recent upgrades to the living room couches and flooring throughout the house. However, the things that keep us coming back each year are outstanding customer service by the owners and the location, which is second to none. We are already excited about returning next year!

The house exactly as it was represented and very well stocked. The neighbors were friendly and quiet and the owners could not have been more helpful. We loved the views of the ocean and the sun/moon rise and set. It was perfect!

Overall, we really enjoyed the stay at Zanadu East.
Pros: The unit had updated kitchen with ample pots, pans and even a knife sharpener! Updated living room area furniture and more than ample deck chairs. We most enjoyed sitting on the deck in the mornings with our coffee and seeing an unobstructed 180 degree view of the ocean! During the day, there was a 50' walk from the steps and we were on the beach!
Cons - The master bedroom had a musty odor but we found a damp mop in the corner and moved it outside. Also, the full bath shower on the bottom floor was mostly unusable for us as it was very small, water leaked and considerable mold. However, none of these issues took anything away from us enjoying our stay as there was another bathroom down the hall with a tub/shower.

We had a wonderful stay at Xanadu East again this year. The upgraded living room furniture and flooring made the experience even better than previous years. The location can't be beat. It is a fantastic place to stay.

The title says it all! The kitchen and bedrooms are fully loaded. The property managers were quick to respond to our question. The views from the decks and kitchen were gorgeous and relaxing. Great place! Highly recommended and definitely would return.

We could not be happier about the location and comfort of Xanadu East! The ocean view is spectacular, and the house has everything you need for a great time away. The owners are so prompt to respond to questions, and they go the extra mile to make sure the house is clean and comfortable. This is why we go back year after year.

We have been doing beach vacations as a family for years and this was one of our most favorite places to stay. The house was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. There were so many extras provided - beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, too many to list! Tony was easy to communicate with and check in was very easy. The views from the decks were amazing and we even spotted dolphin one evening. We had a wonderful time!

The property was great! Beachfront with access from the house was the best for our family vacation. The bedrooms were decently sized and tastefully decorated. I did have to contact the owner about a window and he responded almost immediately. Will definitely keep this property on the "book again" list!

Wow! We arrived after our daughters ECU graduation and were thrilled with the ocean view and open concept kitchen/living room. 2 bedrooms have ocean views and we heard the soothing ocean as we slept. Serenity at its best! The deck was so peaceful too!!

This was my fourth vacation in Emerald Isle. All were at four different homes. By far, this Xanadu East home was my favorite. It is a beautiful and well appointed home. I met Tony, one of the owners, who was easy to talk with and displayed respectful communication.

This house is well kept , clean and has all the amenities. It’s on the beach and a perfect peaceful place. We all loved it.

This is our third year in row staying here. The ocean at the back door keeps calling us back. So glad we found this place! No high rise hotels flooding the beach. Clean, comfortable and beautiful. Plan on coming back next year.
