Terrific view and loved hearing the sounds of the river below from our entrance porch and inside with the window open! Nice personal touches with homemade yogurt etc waiting. Grill just outside for cooking your catch or store purchase. Very close to multiple fishing guide services. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Was a perfect place to stay for a few days, beautiful views, very clean, great bathroom! The welcome basket and yogurt parfait was a nice treat! Also, the welcome from the dogs is just what we needed after traveling for so long!

Lorraine and Mike have a little slice of heaven with their property overlooking the river in Cooper Landing. Everything was perfect, clean and truly breathtaking. We couldn’t have asked for more!

What a beautiful rental! The front porch view cannot be beat. Owners close by if you ever need anything.

Check in was easy and communication is good. Host answers phone and respond to our request promptly. Very pretty view and quiet location! A really good place to stay in Cooper landing area.

There was nothing to dislike. Everything was perfect. The host, the accommodations, the view was breath taking. We didn't want to move on. We were sorry we didnt book the location for a longer stay. Don't know how to thank them in a way that shown our true appreciation. We would recommend this location to anyone who wants to experience a true love for Alaskan hospitality. We had a wonderful stay at this lovely suite in Cooper Landing. The views were amazing and Lorraine and Mike were fantastic hosts who went to great lengths to make us feel at home. There was a delicious breakfast basket and homemade yogurt and berries waiting for us when we arrived. The bathroom was large, and truly luxurious, complete with heated tile floor! The location was great and offered easy drives to Seward, Homer and other Kenai destinations. We wished we could have stayed longer and would definitely stay here again without hesitation. Lorraine and Mike were excellent hosts! The property was very nice with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable! We loved hanging out with their dogs, Willow and Buddy! Both were very sweet dogs! Such a fun time, and beautiful place!

Having the full kitchen was perfect for enjoying a quiet meal in.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite, and it was obvious the owner put in a great amount of effort for your comfort. It was very clean, nicely decorated, had many windows, and felt homey. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, spices, coffee + liquid creamer provided, etc, which was a very nice convenience. The bathroom was spacious, modern, and clean. Individual homemade berry yogurt in the fridge was so thoughtful. The view of the Kenai river and surrounding mountains was stunning from the deck. The landscaping around the yard was very pretty, and encouraged wildlife. A one legged Stellar Jay would hop around in front of us and was so fun to watch. The best part of this stay was the owners two huskies(Buddy + Willow) that were regular visitors to us. They were very friendly dogs, and as dog people, we greatly enjoyed their company. We enjoyed talking with the owner, who was very friendly. The location in Coopers Landing was perfect. An easy 3 minute walk to the princess lodge and restaurant, which had a nice path to the river. I would absolutely stay here again, and couldn't recommend it more to others.

This place was exactly as shown and we really enjoyed our too short, one night stay. It would be a place we would have liked to stay much longer if possible. The amenities were there - amazing shower/bathroom area, breakfast snacks, fully stocked kitchen and it was exceptionally clean. The communication was clear and directions were on target. You won't be disappointed with this place.

I would recommend to anyone. Next time, I would stay longer. Mary B

Response quickly after booking to let us know where the key is. Upon a our arrival we had a sweet kind welcome gift of snacks on the table and in the fridge. Lorraine kindly texted us the following morning seeing we had a 3rd person and made and welcome basket of snacks for him. We came for a dart tournament so we just needed a place to rest our heads and this suite has exceeded our expectations and then some. Clean rooms, wonderful property managers and the furry greeters were a pleasure to see every morning coming to our door for some pets and loves this was a nice visit we accepted gratefully. You stay here you feel like your home warm inviting is a great way to explain what a pleasure it is to find this gem in the woods. The view from your deck amazing!!!

My family of 7 adults ages 47 to 64 rode the train to Denali and this house was perfect for our stay. The house is 15 short min from the park and town. It was perfect for our needs with plenty of beds. The owner was prompt to respond to any questions. Highly recommend.

I cannot say enough about the beautiful location of Lorraine's property. The "Suite" where my two sons and I stayed is cozy and comfortable. (There also is a "Cabin" on the property which looked terrific, but I did not personally see the inside of the Cabin. Next summer I would love to stay in the Cabin.) The Suite and the Cabin are located on a bluff overlooking the upper Kenai River. The best way of describing the view is "WOW!!!!!!!" The Suite consists of 2 large rooms and a good sized bathroom with an excellent shower. The front room has a king bed and a couch (futon) that can be made into a bed. The second room has a queen bed and is the kitchen area. The king and queen beds were comfortable – (the futon may be good for young kids). The kitchen has everything you need to cook for yourself. Lorraine is exceptional, and you will love her dogs, especially "Willow." Lorraine will provide you with recommendations on restaurants, fishing guides, and anything else you may want to do while visiting Cooper Landing. She recommended several restaurants for us, and we went to her number 1 choice (Kingfisher Roadhouse) both nights we were in Cooper Landing. Yes, it was so good we went back the second night -- the view of the Kenai Lake from the restaurant is gorgeous. Trust me on this one -- you will love staying at Lorraine's property. Just hope you don't make your reservations at the same time I plan on being in Cooper Landing next summer.

Amazing property with fantastic views. Quiet.....yet only a few minutes from Cooper Landing restaurants. Great location to explore the Kenai Peninsula. Lorraine and Mike are great hosts. We hope to return one day in the future.

Easy to get to just off the highway. The place was comfortable and clean. Just outside the front door is an amazing view of the river below and peaks across the valley. Lorraine was accommodating and made us feel at home. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stop along the way to Homer.

This clean, modern apartment is in a beautiful setting with nice river view. It was nice to come back from fishing and sit by the fire listening to the river and watching the eagles. We also enjoyed the friendly huskies. Excellent shower!

Smooth communication and great property.

This property was very enjoyable and relaxing. We had the most beautiful view to sit by the fire and play Yahtzee in the evening. In addition, the hosts were more than accommodating, and the dogs added to the enjoyment. I would definitely recommend this place.

I wanted to leave a review although our plans abruptly changed while in Alaska and we could not make it to Cooper Landing. Leading up to our trip, Lorraine was a pleasure to deal with, and it was certainly our loss not to experience her VRBO. It looked wonderful with everything we needed for our family’s stay. She was willing to let us check in a bit early and seemed very flexible. Hopefully we will return to Alaska and get to enjoy Cooper Landing for the fishing and rafting. This VRBO will be at the top of my list.

This is a lovely rental. It was easy to find thanks to excellent directions from Lorraine and signs as you near the property. We truly appreciated the breakfast items including homemade muffins. When you arrive after a long day of travel, it’s nice to not have to run to the grocery store. We enjoyed the lovely views from the house. We were able to take a rafting trip down the Kenai River and did the Russian River Falls hike to see salmon swimming upstream. Sackett’s is a great place for lunch.

Outstanding- will be back next year!!
