Cooper Landing Cabin
We loved our stay at Stacy and Shannon’s place. From the moment we booked until we checked out, they were great communicators and very helpful. Their home was so cozy and clean! It was the perfect place to land at the end of a day of fishing and exploring beautiful Alaska. We hope to be back again someday!

Incredible stay!
We found the perfect place for our family of five to stay! Two grandparents, our son, daughter-in-law, and 12 year old grandson stayed comfortably and happily here.

Very pleasant stay, great location
We just stayed for 3 nights at the cabin. The property is immaculate and the location is serene. I slept great the whole time which is rare for me. Stacy and Shannon are great hosts who were very helpful and accessible every step of the way. We strongly recommend this property and sincerely thank the hosts.

Great spot
We did not go to cooper landing to fish like many others, but we used this as a sleeping spot after long sight seeing days. The cabin was great- cozy and comfortable. The town does not have much if you aren’t there for fishing, except amazing scenery.

Amazing stay in the Kenai Lake
This was such a terrific find in Cooper Landing! Stacy and Shannon were warm, wonderful, and helpful hosts. We had direct acces to the lakeside beach in their backyard and it was a super comfortable and up-to-date cabin. Perfect location to get to fishing and all sorts of outdoor excursions. Couldn’t be happier with our stay.

Fantastic house & great location for our stay in Cooper Landing
July4-July 11 2021. We have always had great luck with VTBO rentals. The house was as photos depicted. Owners were very communicative as I had a couple of questions. The house was great for the four of us. The kitchen had some basic supplies which was nice. Other than personal belongings we made a stop at Carrs curbside grocery pick up in Anchorage before driving about an hour depending on “traffic” to Cooper Landing. This was our first visit to Alaska and the house was perfect. We loved all Shannon’s plants & Stacy was very knowledgeable about the area & fishing of course!! We hope we can return on day. Thanks

Perfect for short or long term stay
Wish we could have stayed longer, to enjoy not only the location right along the water, but also the beautiful home. The house was nicely equipped with all kitchen accessories, which made it convenient to cook late night meals after a day of traveling. We even were able to grill! An absolute must stay if you’re in the area!

An annual trip in the making
Our family has stayed at this rental for two years running and plan to make it an annual trip. The location, setting, hosts, and accommodations are all great. No complaints whatsoever. We highly recommend this spot!

Wonderful Alaskan Hideaway
The cabin was perfect for our family. It is so comfortable and had everything we needed and it is such a beautiful location on the lake. Cooper Landing was a great location for us to explore this part of Alaska. I spent a day with Stacy on the river catching salmon, but we also drove to Seward and kayaked and hiked. Stacy is the best guide. We are definitely returning. Thank you Stacy and Shannon!

There's really too much to put in writing about this nice lakeside cabin. A perfect size for a family or two couples. Just 10 minutes from amazing salmon fishing and only 50 yards from Kenai Lake (the property is on the lakefront). Very nice fly fishing decor in the cabin. Well stocked with basic necessities and a brand new washer-dryer. Nice deck with wader hooks out front. Not many better places for anglers; albeit I'm just a novice =). Lastly, Stacy and Shannon are very accessible before and during out stay. A+

Comfortable and Quiet House
The house was as advertised. The house was beautiful and well maintained. It was a perfect for our needs. The house was very well decorated with a fly fishing theme as it was located on the Kenai River. The views were awesome especially from the second level. The bathroom had a washer dryer which was a welcome site after a week in the wilderness. The owners were very friendly and accommodating to some of our requests. We would stay at this house again!

My family and I absolutely loved the cabin! It was more then we could have ever hoped for. The pictures do not give it justice. Stacy and Shannon were great hosts and quickly contacted us when items were left accidentally at the cabin!

Great fishing in Cooper Landing!
We had a wonderful stay. Our family went all day fishing and white water rafting. We also enjoyed Kenai Lake just down the bank from the chalet. Close to so much! Beautiful weather and Stacy and Shannon were friendly and helpful people. We’ll look forward to coming back!

Great place!
Perfect for the 4 of us. Quiet neighborhood, short walk down to the lake. Grilled salmon and ate on the deck. Smallish problem was only a couch and one chair. We like to play cards so pulled a lawn chair in. All the flowers and plants made it seem more "homey". We would definitely stay again.

Great Fishing Home Base
I was showing my east coast friends around Alaska and this place served as a great home base. We quickly cruised to the Russian for salmon fishing, came and went at all hours, and enjoyed the time spent in the house. Thanks!

Ultimate comfy cabin in the middle of it all!
Very well appointed, clean, warm cabin with excellent water supply in a beautiful, convenient setting. Comfortable beds in first floor bedroom and loft. The hosts were terrific, offered "insider" fishing tips (he's a fishing guide!) and other helpful insights across the Kenai Peninsula. I cannot imagine a better setup or a more central location for your fishing, hiking, kayaking, hunting adventures . Next time we'll be staying at least a week - there's so much to do!

The great: Clean cabin, very well stocked kitchen, nice deck, has dishwasher and washer/dryer, satellite, wifi, 2nd tv in loft, location – close to everything in very quiet neighborhood, on the beautiful lake (short walk to see it). The not so great: no kitchen table (even a small two seater which there is room for, would be nice), uncomfortable furniture (although we were told new furniture was ready to go in after we left), pedestal sink in the bath (no room to put stuff), plants are everywhere - to the point of being obnoxious – get in the way of blinds and they were watered while we were gone (reduces privacy), owner’s home is directly next to cabin across the driveway (reduces privacy). Overall, a decent/nice place but not to the level of 5 stars for the price.

We loved it!
We had a great time at the cabin. Perfect for our group of 5. It’s clean and fresh and right on the beautiful Kenai Lake! Stacy was an unbelievable guide on the Kenai River. Most of the group have never fly fished before and at the end of the day the newbies caught more fish then the pros! Can’t wait to come back!

The place is very well laid out, well maintained, clean and very comfortable beds! Love all the plants and items throughout the home. Great Scenery down by the lake. The owners were great too (thanks for all the tips)! Sounds like we should have taken Stacy advice and hired him as a guide if you want to keep some fish. We had fun catching reds on the Russian river . However we had to release all our fish because they were snagged other than the lip. Again thanks for sharing you place with family! We had a great time and would love to return again! Rich

Couldn’t close windows, too bright to sleep.
As you know if you’re planning this trip, Alaska is light all day and night in the summer. There is a loft upstairs with two beds and because of their plants, you can’t close any blinds. There are also several windows without blinds. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, you won’t sleep. We also felt like they were stingy with things at the house. There’s no access to more towels, the rugs are dirty and the couch is super super old and uncomfortable.

Spacious, private abode. It was so enjoyable walking the short path to the water. Beautiful views. Hosts were attentive! We would stay again.
