This property has everything a family needs. It’s in a prime spot within walking distance to both Long and short Sands beaches. Beds are comfortable and all amenities listed are perfect. Bonnie is very responsive to questions and very helpful. Being from York originally, I feel very confident that anyone will be happy with this property. We all loved this house. Its in a perfect location and is exactly as described. Owner was very responsive to our questions. We love York Maine and if we decide to come back next year this will be my first choice and would definitely recommend this property to our friends and family.

House and property are exactly as advertised. A few minutes’ walk to either Short Sands or Long Sands. Great little private backyard with deck, grill, patio and fire pit for relaxing after a day at the beach! Outdoor shower was a bonus! Nice, quiet residential area.

The place was very clean and walking distance to Short Sands and downtown York. It also has everything you need - well stocked kitchen and towels, etc. Perfect for our girls weekend away!

We had a short vacation with 4 adults and 2 yr. Old twins. The host was responsive, polite and attentive. The house was just as described, we spend lots of time on the deck and the kids had enough space in the yard to run around! Great place that we would love to visit again!

This place was perfect for our first stay in york, me. It fit us wonderfully and had everything we needed. It was just far enough away but also super close to both beaches. Clean and fully stocked.
Owner was quick to respond to any questions. If my family didn't just grow by 2 more feet this week.. we would def stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay in Maine very much. The house was very clean and well equipped. We were a little disappointed that there was no dining room and the kitchen got very hot even with a ceiling fan. We were lucky with the weather and we were able to eat our meals on the back deck in the lovely garden. Overall, it was a great stay.

Bright, beautiful stay!
We loved staying here for the second time! The property is just as bright and spacious as before. The landscaping and patio updates are lovely and made for fantastic al fresco dinners. Our 6 year old son and 2 year old toddler also enjoyed the space - and the red wagon was such a help on our walks to the beach. Although it was hot the week we went, the house is very well ventilated and we barely had to use air conditioning (but when we did it was nice and chilly!). And one night we had a fire in the Solo stove and s’mores with the kids; our son said that it was the best night of the summer. This is a fantastic location - so close to the beach and also, tucked into a peaceful, pretty neighborhood. Perfect for a family getaway!

Salt & Light Cottage Stay York, ME
Check in was very easy and the location was amazing. It was great to be within walking distance of the beach and other places like the Nubble lighthouse. Our host was very responsive and provided a lot of helpful information prior to our arrival. It was our first time in York and we will definitely like to return in the future.

Perfect Location
We loved our stay at this home. The kitchen was amazing stocked with all the essentials. The gardens are beautiful. Enjoyed relaxing in the back yard in the afternoon on the patio. We enjoyed walking to the beaches and in town, while enjoying a nice quiet, and friendly neighborhood. Can not wait to return to this home in the future.

Location, comfort and joy!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Salt and Light cottage. Everything we’d want was within walking distance. The regular grocery was a few minute drive, but we had no problem with that- it was all about the walkable beach! We loved the outdoor space at the cottage and the outdoor shower for sand removal. Bonnie was very responsive during our stay, as there was a potential weather issue coming our way. You’ll be happy here for a weekend or a week!

Great rental
We’ve stayed here the last 2 years and it’s been great. Nice house with great kitchen, deck and small backyard. Location is perfect - easy walk to short sands and downtown. My family has really enjoyed our stays here. Bonnie is great - very responsive. We love it!

Nice home in a great location
Loved the deck and outside eating area. Also the outdoor shower. There is no washer dryer and beds were not comfortable IMO but all around we had a great experience. The owner was very attentive and on top of any issue we had. We would definitely stay again.

Summer Family 2017 Getaway to York!
This home was very cute. It was very clean and the kitchen is fabulous. Bonnie is very nice to deal with. I had a few emails, and phone calls with Bonnie and she returned my emails and phone calls promptly. I would recommend this home as a beach rental in York. It is perfectly located to Short Sands Beach and as well to Long Sands. We enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Location in a Beautiful House
My family and I loved the house. The location was perfect, right between long and short sands on a quite side street. The house was well kept with good size bedrooms and a beautiful kitchen with all the cookware provided. We spent several nights on the deck in the evening enjoying the ocean air. We also made alot use out of the well maintained grill, grilling up burgers, chicken, and pizzas. The only drawback to the house was no washer and dryer however a local laundromat provides full service cleaning and folding of your laundry so that you dont have to spend your vacation cleaning clothes. I would highly recommend this house to other interested families. The owner is always quick to answer any questions as well.

York Vacation Home
This was our third year at the 'Nubble Cottage' and we've never been disappointed. It's so easy to get down to either beach in York and a comfortable walk to Nubble Lighthouse. The cottage itself is equipped with everything you need and is quite comfortable. We love having our meals outside on the deck.
