Our family had a wonderful stay over the 4th of July Holiday. Perfect location. Quiet area and close enough to go to the lake for the day. The house layout was great for our family. Our kids loved the kids hang out area upstairs. Kitchen was fully stocked which was great for family meals. Hosts were responsive and kind. We love to come back next time during winter!

Really enjoyed our stay at this property. A great place for families and younger kids. Lots of space, games and easy to get to the slopes and restaurants.
Brian was super responsive and flexible. Very refreshing to have a host that was so easy to work with and helpful!

Brian’s property is just wonderful. Great location in lovely Tahoe Donner, and the cabin is beautifully looked after with a great layout. Three “grown up” bedrooms are really evenly sized (often a problem with big properties) and the large bunk room was a huge bonus with kids in the mix. We were three small families with four kids under the age of 10, and the kids loved their room, playing, building forts, etc. while we could enjoy the roomy living space. Great kitchen and dining area, and the hot tub right there on the deck was just great. Large backyard area for great snow play with the kids (and adults!) Communication with Brian was easy, and he made our stay so welcoming. Possibly the best vacation home experience we’ve had to date! Even check out was easy, as the large washing machines were accessible and made helping out with a few loads of sheets and towels no chore before we left. Thank you, Brian!

We absolutely loved our stay here. It's a beautfiul, clearn, extremely well-kept propertyin a great location in Truckee. My two children (ages 7 and 9) were thrilled with the space too -- my daughter suggested we give the place "105 stars," but unfortunately we were limited to five. We also appreciated the host contacting us beforehand to let us know we could arrive early. All in all, a great experience.

Place is laid out really great. Huge upper area (with door that closes) with lots of beds and tv. Had all amenities needed. Tons of towels. Kids loved swimming in the spa. We’d happily stay here again!

This was our second year renting the Tahoe Donner home of Brian Hicks and his wife. We plan a 4 day ski trip during February each year and find their home to be a wonderful place to stay.
It is clean, comfortable and well supplied with many of the basic necessities. There was plenty of wood for the fireplace and the hot tub was a welcome refuge after a day of skiing.
But more important than all of this was their generosity and understanding when our son had a serious fall and needed surgery in Truckee. They willingly and without hesitation allowed one of our family members to stay at their home beyond our rental time. He stayed there until our son was released from the hospital and able to come home. Their kindness helped to alleviate much stress during a really difficult time. And we can never repay them for that.

Beautiful cabin in the perfect location of a winter wonderland! Cabin was fully stocked with all the essentials and necessities. Very spacious inside. Plenty of beds and space for two families. Had a minor issue with hot water but was immediately corrected after contacting the owner. Would definitely recommend this place for a winter vacation for all ages and would love to stay at this location again!

The home was perfect for our 2 families. Love there was the room for all the kids to stay in, plus the extra rooms! Nice and clean, it was a great layout and location! I would absolutely re-book this home.

Wonderful Getaway!
This property was beautiful and perfect for a long weekend getaway with friends. The house is beautifully remodeled. There is plenty of space for you to relax and the kids to play. Bunk room and game closet were a huge hit! The extras like a pack n play and baby gate were super helpful for our family. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again!

Annual Family Ski Trip
The Hick's Tahoe home was all that we had hoped it would be. The location was convenient and the home itself more than met our needs and expectations. It was spotlessly clean and the attention to details was apparent. Simple things, like the refrigerator being totally empty allowed plenty of room for our food. There were hangars in all of the closets. The throws on the living room couches were welcome additions while watching TV.
The younger family members loved using the upstairs bunk room for sleeping and hanging out. Brian, the owner, responded immediately when we had difficulty with the television and concerns with the hot tub. Both situations were resolved quickly.
We would definitely recommend this home to others and will hopefully return next year for our annual family ski trip.

This house is one of the best stocked houses I’ve ever stayed at! It’s great! Super large room for kids and our stay was excellent and comfy. The hot tub was perfect! I would stay here again and again.

Wonderful can8n great location
This cabin was perfect for our group. Living area is open and easy to socialize. The bedrooms are big and roomy with one room able to sleep all 6 kids. Hot tub worked as advertised and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the appliances and kitchenware.. highly recommend this cabin to anyone with a large group.

This house is one of the best stocked houses I’ve ever stayed at! It’s great! Super large room for kids and our stay was excellent and comfy. The hot tub was perfect! I would stay here again and again.

Thoughtful Hosts & Well-Loved House
Brian was a very gracious host for our Thanksgiving stay. He made sure the house was ready with all the necessities, including a roasting pan and baster for our turkey. His thoughtfulness made life a lot easier on us, which meant we were able to just focus on enjoying our vacation time as a family. The house itself is clearly well-used and well-loved, with all the amenities you'd expect in a rental and more. We'd love to stay again!

This is a great cabin, it is as described. Really well equipped and full of details, like usb chargers conveniently located throughout the house, air fresheners on each bathroom, cooler in the garage you can borrow, bbq, brand new washer and dryer etc., the house is kept impeccably and the kitchen has all the belts and whistles. They even left us some fruit to welcome us.The communication with the owner was also perfect, very responsive, everything crystal clear from the beginning. This is one of these properties you wished you always encountered. 100% recommend to anybody wanting to have a wonderful time up in Truckee.

This is a great cabin, it is as described. This house was absolutely wonderful. It was very clean, has a ton of beds, and had a lot of sitting space in the main living area. The owners were so great to communicate with, and gave us wonderful hike recommendations. Also, the house is supplied with everything you could ever possibly need! I highly recommend staying here!

We had a great time using the spa every day, having a fire in the fireplace and playing in the snow! We were lucky enough to have it snow while we were there. Leading up to the rental, Brian was extremely communicative and always answered any questions that we had. We loved our stay here and we can't wait to return in the future!
