Our group thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend stay. The space was large, well maintained, and provided a great base to visit Chicago for a long weekend. The hosts were excellent with all communications, provided a friendly experience at check-in, and made our stay memorable. Book it and you will enjoy!

The accommodations was were perfect for my family, plenty of space. The location is absolutely fantastic. The property was very clean and the owner was very attentative and responsive. We hope to return soon.

The Magic Factory loft was a great space for our family to gather for our long weekend together exploring Chicago. The open floor plan allowed the 10 of us to enjoy our brief time together. It had everything you could need and it had a beautiful view of the city. The owners were very helpful and helped us feel at home and very safe. The appliances were good quality, the beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of bathrooms. The space was perfect for us to stage our adventures out into the city, close to everything, but on a nice quiet street.

Our corporate sales team enjoyed using 3 of the 4 bedrooms with lockable doors and private bathrooms while in Chicago for a trade show. The cost for three people was about one third of what the hotels were charging! It was clean, comfortable and very convenient.

It was great! Worked out perfectly for my group attending IMTS. Condo was immaculate! Highly recommend.

The property was exactly as described and pictured. The entire property was great and felt spacious even with a group of 9 people. The checkout process was streamlined and easy. We will definitely be staying here again if we come back to Chicago

The photos of this property just don’t do it justice - this place is great! Excellent open floor plan and very private. The location was perfect for getting around the city, and walkable to cafes, bars, and restaurants. We stayed here for a bachelor party with 9 guys, and the space was very comfortable. Every guy had his own bed, which was clutch. The host was easy to reach and communication was good, though the pre-check-in process is somewhat tedious (something that seems to be the norm when staying in Chicago). Overall, this stay is an excellent value (the best I found in the city) for its size, condition, and location. Highly recommend!

Amazing place in a great location, even better and more spacious than it looks in the pictures... Couldn't have been happier with our stay!

Everything was better than expected! I was very unfamiliar with the Chicago area and was nervous about the location before arriving. However, we had everything we needed within a short 10-minute walk. There was a Target and Whole Foods right down the street as well as restaurants and bars down the adjacent streets. The property slept 9 guys very comfortably, each one of us having our own bed and easy access to 3 bathrooms. The building was very quiet and the room was very private. There was only one other room on our floor, but we didn't see or hear a single person the entire time we were there. Check-in was very easy and quick. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place for large or small groups. Property was clean and comfortable. We felt safe in this neighborhood at all times. Location is a short walk to the Red Line subway/train for access to the city. Recommended - Would definitely stay here again!

Great for our large family group. We had plenty of room, and the location was central to everything we had planned. It made a great home base for us.

Everything was perfect! The condo was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. It accomodated 7 of us comfortably. The 3 bathrooms gave each of us the privacy we needed. Beds were very comfortable and building was quiet. There was minimal noise from the street which allowed for restful sleep. Plenty to do nearby! This is the perfect getaway location for a larger group!

The space was perfect for our group of 8 with enough space in the main area for us all to hang out and not feel crowded. The kitchen was well stocked, the bedding/linens were comfortable, and overall easy to get to with straightforward checkin/check out instructions from the hosts. If a completely dark room bothers you, note that one of the bedrooms (with two twin beds and an extra roll away) has no windows so is fully dark - on the other hand, many people like that - so it's not a complaint, just a heads up for those who may have strong feelings about it. All other rooms have great natural lighting and blackout curtains if the dark is your preference. Was a great stay overall - communications with the hosts were pretty easy and they responded within 15-30 minutes, and were very friendly and accommodating to our group, and the location definitely seems up and coming (new climbing gym coming in around the corner later this year if you're into that, although it wasn't open yet when our group was there).

We had an amazing stay at Basil and Carole’s place! From the moment we checked in with basil we knew we had found an amazing gem in the city. Super easy to get around, easy parking, huge rooms. The added touches of chocolate on our pillows and bowl of tootsie rolls was awesome Too! Thanks for being great hosts

Great property and location!

Had a fabulous stay in Chicago in late July 2021. Apartment is located in a great area just minutes away from downtown. Hosts were extremely accommodating and responsive to any and all questions/concerns.

Great property and great hosts! Space was close to lots of things that the city has to offer. Very Clean and street parking was easy to find.

My kids and I had an amazing time! Can walk to everywhere you need to go!

Our family of four adults spent four days at Basil and Carole's loft apartment. This home is beautiful with some of the most comfortable beds and sofas we have ever had in a VRBO property. The location is wonderful with easy access to downtown and Lincoln park neighborhoods. The eclectic decor and upscale appliances are fabulous! But most of all, Basil and Carole are wonderful, warm, welcoming hosts and we will never forget this vacation.

This is a beautiful place to stay! Very clean, spacious, and well-stocked. Great communication with the owners who are there to greet you and answer questions. Highly recommend! We’d definitely stay here again.

The loft was absolutely amazing and it fit 6 adult women comfortably and we still had space to chill out! The home was so clean and Carole was an amazing host! The loft is in a great location if you’re wanting to go out. But even more perfect when you just want to play some games and have fun in the loft! Would definitely stay here again!

The loft was clean and was the perfect place for a group of 8 of us to stay. There were plenty of places to sleep and hang out. Lots of good eating options within walking distance and the El was just up the street so you could get anywhere in the city easily. Highly recommend if you're looking for a place to stay with a relatively large group of people.

The listing was in a nice area , just about every place we wanted to shop at and sightsee were no more that than 12 minutes away.. I plan on ooked with them again... very soon

6 mom’s on the lose in Chicago and this property was PERFECT for us! Plenty of room and a great location!!! Carole was so nice to work with and accommodating to us!!! We discussed on our drive home that we WILL be coming back!!!

We took 8 for a winter getaway to Chicago that included 4 grandkids under age 8. We stayed in 3E and the apartment was incredibly clean, very comfortable, in great shape and loaded with all the amenities of home. It’s a large space, and feels as if it was recently renovated with new appliances, great bedding, and awesome bathrooms The owner Carole was very attentive to our needs. Parking was easy on the street for one of our cars and we used their garage for another. The neighborhood is very walkable with an array of restaurants within an 8 minute walk. Mariano’s grocery is just two blocks away and Whole Foods also walkable. There is a great playground for the kids in a park 2 blocks away. getting around Chicago is really easy from this spot with short drives to the highlights of downtown Chicago. The neighborhood is safe and likely quiet most of the year, but around Christmas time there is a pop-up Christmas bar across the street that had a bit of late night action that did wake those of us in the southern bedroom once or twice but it really didn’t impact our overall 5 star experience. We would highly recommend this property.

Traveling with a group of 8 from 12-73 years old offers diverse needs, all of which were met at the loft. A quick summary... Cleanliness: we are VERY picky about this and found it to be spotless. Location: bus and train service to take you anywhere very close by. Groceries also very close. Neighborhood: parking was close (directly in front of the entrance if you were able to get there during the day) and free with the parking passes the hosts provided. You can hear street noise but it wasn't enough to bother us at all. Loft: the floorplan uses all space very efficiently. Plenty of space for all of us (8 ) with beds left unoccupied. We cooked an entire Thanksgiving feast (everything from scratch) and worried we wouldn't have what we need for that kind of cooking but lacked nothing. High end appliances and supplies like cookie sheets and baking dishes were lovely to find. The bathrooms were spacious and immaculate. Living room/dining room had seating for everyone and was comfortable and spacious. Hosts: very accommodating, answered questions and requests quickly, assisted with parking late in the evening, very interesting to visit with! Basil showed us around the loft, pointing out amenities, then visited for a while. We actually thought to invite them down for another visit but didn't want to infringe on their time. Very nice people. Overall: we are considering booking this unit again next year because it really was perfect for what we needed. Highly recommend!!!

Everything was as advertised. Carole was a great host and really went out of her way to make us feel welcome and make sure we had a great time. The apartment was spacious and on a nice side street. We would definitely book again.
