Grandma and grandpa with 2 granddaughters. 2 bedrooms with private bath in each. Convenient to Kona and to beaches. Kids biked to town and visited the pool everyday. Great sunsets.

This was a great location for our 3 week stay. Close to Kona, with lots of shops. Nice view of the ocean. The wrap-around porch was so nice; we ate our meals out there every day. The condo is a bit dated, and is in need of minor repairs, but all-in-all, we were very happy with the accommodations.

We had a great time at the rental. Very roomy with a nice big balcony. Unit was well equipped for everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!

When we arrived we found out that the hideaway bed frame was broken so we put the mattress on the floor. Emailed 2 times and got no response.The contact number was out of service. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes. Wish there was a door on the master bedroom.

The location of this property was perfect for experiencing all Kona has to offer. It was very well stocked for family beach fun with beach towels, snorkle gear, boogie board, chairs and umbrellas!

I was hesitant to book the condo. Once my family and I entered the place, we were so happy with the place. It was clean and the location was perfect for my family. We will be booking again!

The unit was very spacious and clean. The location of Kona Shores was very convenient to the eateries, shops and the event that we traveled to Kona for (Liliuokalani Race) along Ali'i Drive. The furniture could use some updating, especially the sofa bed:)

This property worked well for us - plenty of space and nice to sit out on the deck and enjoy meals/drinks looking at the gorgeous view with a spectacular sunset every night! Easy parking for our car and local café Green Flash coffee & smoothies delish.

We enjoyed our visit and did many activities which were close to the property the laua, parasailing, dinner cruise and of course local shopping and eating. We went to the National Parks and the Black Sand beach but were a little disappointed that a decent beach was a drive away

Our staycation went well. There were only 2 surprises: 1. The master bedroom has no door and therefore lacking in privacy; and 2. Until this stay, Iʻve never had to use coin-operated laundry machine in a condo. Usually the condo has its own laundry facilities within the unit. But not this one.

We have stayed in many condos along Alii Dr and in Keauhou. This unit is quite spacious and the lanai is huge! We had a sunset view this time of year. It's obviously an older property but we liked the quirkiness of some things (like a see thru floor in entry hallway!). The pool is right on the ocean and there were never many people there, I think because there are a lot of locals who live in the complex. The only 2 things that could have been better were 1, the furniture could be more comfortable, but unless you hang out inside a lot it's not a deal breaker, and 2, a washer/dryer in the unit (I missed that detail). But there is a big laundry bank of washers/dryers right underneath the unit so not a big deal, just not as convenient. Check-in and check-out were a breeze and the owner was easy to work with. Overall our 10-day stay was pretty amazing!

As first family trip, was welcoming from moment walked through doors. Whimsical touches, quality kitchen & thoughtful layout made us feel at home. Owners were super responsive & accommodating. Pool was favorite hangout between beach & town time for teens. BBQ and dining adjacent to pool was helpful & lended great gatherings. Viewed dolphins frolicking & great sunsets from huge deck, even bigger than pix looked. Mahalo Glen & Ginny, forever grateful for your island refuge.

As promised with all of the needed supplies. Loved the place. The location was great. The master bedroom doesn't have a door which makes it difficult with kids.

The house is clean. The bathrooms especially the one in the master’s bedroom is a bit dated but the bathroom is very spacious! There’s AC as well as ceiling fans. The lanai is super nice, very very spacious where you can enjoy your morning coffee with the view of the ocean and the sounds of birds chirping. Neighborhood is very quiet especially at night. Keep in mind, condo is on the second floor and there’s no elevator so you have to carry all your luggages on a few flight of stairs. The condo does not have washer and dryer in unit but there’s a laundry room right down below the unit. Make sure you have quarters though. There’s no door in the master’s bedroom but there’s a accordion divider you can use for privacy . We didn’t have a problem with that since, there were no couples in our party so you can just keep that in mind. But overall, the unit is clean, close to downtown where you can just walk to restaurants and shopping stores. If I visit the island again, I will totally stay in this place again.

Quiet at end corner of building with a wrap around second floor deck. Trees, birds, flowers in peaceful setting. Sunset viewing from pool area , in addition to wave action on lava shoreline. All household needs provided in condo. We enjoyed 2 weeks here, from Minnesota weather in January 2022.

Plenty of room for four adults, master bathroom is huge, loved watching the ocean on the lanai with my coffee in the morning. Sunset from the pool down below is incredible. Excellent location, price point, and overall condo!

We spent a week at another location prior to this unit, Kona Bali Kai. Bali Kai’s condo had the most awesome view and the surf came up right to the place. But the condo had no amenities inside. Not enough towels, sheets, the pots and pans were burnt, no silverware, it had one spoon and the pullout couch was broken. Awful place to stay. So when we moved a week later to Kona Shores, wow, what a difference!! It had air conditioning in every room plus fans! It had full kitchen set up and every room had everything you would ever need. The lanai was to die for. It wrapped around the condo and the 1,000 sq ft was luxurious. We would drink our coffee outside in the early mornings and even finished a 1000 piece puzzle in the evenings. On the lanai, people left their coolers, boogie boards, surf shoes and snorkel gear. The condo had beach towels, lots. All of the beds were very comfy. The condo had patio glass doors for every room. Two in the living room so it was very airy and bright and blinds to close at night and during the day to keep out the sunlight/heat. We really enjoyed our stay here!! Cons: No washer/dryer in the unit. Coins/Phone app needed to run washer dryer. The washers and dryers are new, though. The neighbors downstairs complained that we were walking too hard on the floors. The unit has a raised hallway into kitchen and you step down into the living room and bedrooms. I think the sound would echo through the wood floor platform and they said it sounded like thunder. Well, we weren’t going to tip toe around either. So, idk 🤷‍♀️ All in all, a beautiful place to stay. Thanks, Glen! You guys have a very nice condo unit.

Pros - Excellent location close to Kailua. Very walkable. Very nice on the beach. Easy to find and drive to and from.Cons - the ants. LOTS of ANTS everywhere. Crawling all over the walls of the kitchen. They say don't leave trash well it was crawling up the wall and into trash can before we were there 4 hours. We emptied it every night and spray raid and lysol and it still wasn't clean.Another big con was it was not a real second bedroom. The second bedroom was a bamboo screen over a room. No privacy and loud.

Spacious 2 bedroom unit, end unit, beautiful view and surrounding areas, quiet and peaceful. The host is vey nice and promptly answers my questions.

We hope it will forever stay like that and we hope to come back next time we visit Kona. I wish I could share with you the pics of the sunset we captured on your amazing very spacious terrace. It's so amazing and a very healing view to be exact. The kitchen is A for updating. Bedrooms are so comfy and have clean towels and bedsheets. It made my family so close together, loved, and amazed on this break after a long busy work and school. Glen was very responsive and has provided a very conveniently located, beautiful condo. We loved our stay. Check-in/check-out was a piece of cake, easily accommodated our family of six, wouldn’t change a thing.
